Welcome To Mike Iser.com!

Hey everyone!

Thanks for dropping by…if you’re reading this, chances are you know me from the Nicheblogger forum or perhaps Firepow…Either way I’ll write up a bit of a synopsis:

I decided to make a serious go at IM around mid June 2008.  I had my first sale for around $30 during the last few days of July, so about 1 1/2 months after I started putting in some work…Following that, I made $116.17 in August and then $323.90 in September.

A lot of those sales were the result of me going crazy on Ezine Articles, I had submitted 77 articles in August and 107 articles in September (You can see a more detailed explanation of the profit I made by visiting my “Earnings By Month” section)…These sales were coming from 3 main sites I had been working on and making posts to.

In October I stopped the Ezine Article submission and my income dropped to $268.84, the month of November it was $187.32 and in December it was $235.89.  At this point I was getting frustrated with my income not going anywhere and that’s when I came across the Niche Blogger.

Since around December 28th of 2008 I began logging my IM related activities on the NB forum on a daily basis.  I found that after I had created the thread on the forum, I had a sense of obligation to then follow through and make sure I have something to post about every day, this sense of accountability helped my business out tremendously.

I also began queuing up posts to my blogs and setting them on autopilot for 6 months, something I had never done before…I set my blogs up to post twice a week for the next 6 months (60 queued posts)….Once I had done that, I began creating new sites and queuing up 60 posts for each of those sites as well…

My income in January 2009 was $301.14..

And my income in February 2009 was $325.17..

But after putting forth consistent work into managing my blogs and promoting them, my income FINALLY began to increase!  Through constantly updating my main 3 sites and using promotional methods such as Unique Article Wizard, SENuke, Bookmarking Demon and by adding Adsense to my sites and using various other tactics, here are the results I was able to achieve:

March 2009 = $622.44 (A good deal of this increase was due to running SENuke 10-15 times.  This brought a lot Site #1’s rankings from page 2-3 to page 1 of Google.)

April 2009 = $795.19 (I got another increase here when I began to create Sniper Sites as per George’s “Google Sniper” method which is similar to Andrew Hansen’s Niche Marketing On Crack.)

In the upcoming posts, I’ll be sharing with you all that I’m doing on a day to day basis and show you the results those actions are bringing. My hope for this site is that it becomes an open area of discussion where people can come and are free to ask questions, give their input, talk about their own progress or talk about what is being done…

I’d very much like to hear your feedback, as you have all helped me to achieve this with your input and support, feel free to leave comments or ask questions and I will do my best to reply back to you :>

Being that I’m on this path as you are, I hope you’re able to gain a lot from my perspective and use any insights you get by following along to improve your businesses.

Here’s to conquering this IM business once and for all!

-Mike

Hey Jen and Donna, my pleasure, didn’t want to let you down :>

Hey Clefty, I’d do that but most people who sign-up to lists don’t appreciate getting daily e-mails and I certainly don’t want to be that guy who does that to their list.

I think a good alternative would be to sign up to the RSS. I’ll be updating this site daily and it will usually be at around the same time so you could probably predict when the updates are coming.

    Hey Mike,

I am really happy you are back with the updates. It was sorely missed!I’d love to hear how things have been going this week and the steps you’ve taken.

    What a nice surprise!!

I’ll be here everyday for sure!! Can’t wait to hear your progress with the sniper sites.

Went nuts and registered 11 domains this evening for my sniper extravaganza!!

    @Mikeman
Thanks. I meant that if you use feedproxy there is a way to have it with an email RSS option. I have seen it implemented well on other IM blogs and use it myself with some of those. It just sends an email via the RSS service instead of showing up in an RSS reader (I never use RSS readers…have tried in the past but don’t stick with them for some reason)…

If you try burning the feed by google’s feedproxy you’ll see what I mean when it asks for the info needed 🙂

Hey Debbie, thanks..I’ll be making a post tonight showing what all I’ve been up to.

Evita, wow, nice! I’ve done the same thing..it’s steps like this which you need to keep on doing to stretch your comfort barrier and work your way closer to making a real living out of this.

By registering the domains, you’ve basically committed yourself to seeing them all through.

Hey Clefty, I honesty don’t know anything about how to setup the e-mailing of RSS feeds, but I did some searching for you and found this: http://www.feedmyinbox.com/ …that seems like it would work.

Deb hey, good to see you here :>

Haha Sara, ok, I got a fix coming up….

Yay! I’m glad you started a site. I was going to suggest it but someone beat me to it! Now I can watch in awe as you buy 11 sniper domains in one day LOL It’s taken me like 3 days to research my next domain. I have a hard time finding ones that meet the criteria. Good luck!

Excellent. I love that there is a website that makes this available (the feed-to-email thing). Thanks for finding it.

Haha, well, I’m probably going to slow down the site creation at some point :>

    Glad that worked out Clefty…

Hi There…again, I made it. I didn’t realize till now that you’re a member of TNB. You may not know me but I’m from the Niche Blogger too, joined about 4 or 5 mos ago. I go by GreenEyes. I haven’t been to successful yet, but I’m working on it.

Just today, I heard about George and his Google Sniper, if you can believe that! But, that’s becuz’ I’ve been staying out of the forums so I could get some work done instead. Since I’m not seeing decent results, I started to look around and that’s when I found George and now you. So, I have a lot of catching up to do. It’s very nice to meet you and I hope to learn something new to change my current IM status.

I really think it all comes down to proper keyword research, my biggest downfall, I think. I already have some questions but I’m going to read all your post first and if I still have questions I’ll let you know.

    Thank,
    GreenEyes

PS Also wanted to say Hi to Everybody that’s here from TNB. Nice to see all of you! Nice knowin’ I’m not the only one still trying to reach my goals:=)

    @M.K.

Ya…there’s a whole other thread there you can probably find there if you want in the “taking action” section… I started that up before creating this site.

It’s good not to stick around on the forums to much, a lot of people seem to have that distraction.

Keyword research is definitely key, but more-so than that even is actual experience from building many, many, many sites.

Hey there Mike, I just stumbled across your site a moment ago when Google suggested that one of your posts was relevant to what I was searching.

I realized that this site was a journal of your IM progress so I came to your first post and I am very tempted to go and read every single day to see exactly what you did to get where you are now. I know that’s a lot of reading, but it’s a lot of learning as well!

I am 20 years old and in school for Internet Marketing, so by reading your blog I think I could learn a thing or two. =) If you feel as though you have something you would like to share with a budding young internet marketer, please email me!
