Day 86 – Found A More Efficient Way Of Doing Things

July 30th, 2009

Ya, that’s really his voice, he’s good…

IM has really opened up ever since I started getting more into outsourcing.  I used to seriously believe in doing everything on my own, and while you CAN make it doing all the work on your own, it’s going to take WAY longer….I do think it’s important you do a lot of the leg work on your own initially, however once you get your system down and you become confident in your ability to generate income online, the natural progression is to start moving towards outsourcing…A good time I feel to start into this seriously is once you’ve hit around $500/month.

In the last few days using Human Rewriter, I’ve found my IM life to be a LOT easier…I’m confident that the money I’m putting forth is going to be fruitful and the amount of work I’m able to get done each day has gone up quite a bit.

In fact I’ve just found a way to get even more work outsourced quicker, here’s my new system:

Once I have my keywords chosen, I’m going to search Ezine Articles for an article to be re-written.  I’ll pick one that is 450 words or more, make sure the main kw is in there at least once every 100 words, I’ll edit the article down so that it does not have TOO many sentences and is at a reasonable price ($3.30 for 450 words), then I’ll request to have every 2nd article I submit to be re-written TWICE.

By doing this I get 2 birds with 1 stone..Say I outsource 20 articles…out of that, I will have an additional 10 re-writes…I will then use those 10 re-writes to submit to Infobarrels to backlink the 20 outsourced Hubs.

So now with this increase in productivity, my new plan is on the days I’m focused on outsourcing, to outsource 60 articles in 2 niches (20 hubs/10 infobarrel backlinks + 20 hubs/10 infobarrel backlinks in another niche)….That’s what I’m aiming for..worst case, I should be able to get at least 45-50 done.  Then on the days I’m posting stuff up I’ll aim for 30-40 being posted up each day.

Now that I’ve got 160 Hubs up and 80 Infobarrels to back them all up, I’ve noticed an increase in my income…The clicks though still aren’t worth very much, but perhaps they will go up in price in time as my properties begin bringing in more consistent traffic.

As far as what I got done today, I put up 10 more Infobarrels(80 total) and outsourced 10 articles in a new niche…Looking to pick things up with the outsourcing starting tomorrow.

Earnings for Today:

Clickbank has totally changed their reporting and one thing I’ve noticed is that the reported hops have gone WAY down…my hops to date with the old reporting was at around 15k, with the new reporting it’s only at 8k…VERY strange.  I don’t know if it’s a bug or if this is just more accurate or what.

  • 1 Sale for Site#2 = $20.04
  • # of Hops in new analytics = 210, old analytics = 523 O_o
  • Adsense = $6.79 (bit of hubpage + infobarrel income in there)

Day 57 – Profit For June!

July 1st, 2009

So it’s the end of another month and time to tally the score…

Here are the results for the month of June:

Total Hops = 13,966
Total Sales = 76
Total Refunds = 5
NET Sales = 69
GROSS CB Sales = $1,844.57
NET CB Sales = $1,740.27

Adsense = $133.85

***GRAND TOTAL = $1,874.12***
(+ $715.32 over last month’s total)

For me, living in Canada, with the current exchange rate being 86 cents to the dollar, this is $2,136.49 Canadian for me :>

Here’s more of a breakdown:

-47 Sniper Site Sales (compared to 17 sales for sniper sites last month)
-My main sniper niche accounts for $864.50 worth of sales…these sales came from a total of 17 of the main sniper site niche sites.
-16 Sales for Site #1 totaling $311.99 NET sales

Click Here for a Screenshot of Clickbank, showing total hops for the month, $ earned, refunds, and a breakdown of the hop distribution to the sites >>

A look at the monthly progress now:

Feb = $325.17
Mar = $622.44
Apr = $795.19
May = $1,158.80
June = $1,874.12

I remember at the beginning of the year I had the goal of reaching 3k/month by the end of the year…I remember it seeming like this big goal and I remember not being sure if it would be achievable in that time frame or not..funny how things change…Now, given my results, I’ve changed that goal to 4-5k/month by then.

Additional Info For The Day:

  • Created 2 more sniper sites in the main sniper niche
  • Got all my ordered articles I outsourced, I’ll talk more about this tomorrow..

Day 53 – UAW Time + Look At Progress

June 27th, 2009
The Evolution of Geeks...

The Evolution of Geeks...

Ok, so I just finished off the last 2 sites I’m going to be creating for a while…Now I need to run UAW on about 23 odd sites, so this should take me about 4-5 days to complete.  After the backlinking for these sites is on autopilot, if my previous sites are any indication, they should start kicking in and generating commissions more frequently in about a months time, maybe a little sooner…

I’m still kind of curious about trying out building Hubpages for adsense…I do have my hands full with lots of sniper sites to create though…

I was going through some of my old Clickbank screenshots recently and I pasted together an image here to see how my Clickbank income has been growing over the past few months..This covers February to June:

And here’s a look at how my Clickbank bars have changed over time, this is from Aug-Sept of 2008:

Here is February 2009 (Made $258 NET in CB Sales):

Here’s April 2009 ($672 NET CB Sales):

And Here’s May – June ($1,051.58 NET sales in May):

I’ll have a detailed summary of this month’s sales and profit at the end of this month…

Earnings For Today:

  • $53.31 – 1 Sale from the main sniper site niche = $27.12, 1 sale from Site#1 = $26.19
  • Adsense = $3.66
  • Hops = 378

Day 39 – GoArticles + AFF

June 13th, 2009

So today I got started with that whole Adult Friend Finder thing.  I actually went and spent $200 worth in advertising.  I advertised on 1 adult site which estimates for the ad space I got that I’ll get around 400 clicks a day(this cost me around $40) and on another website I advertised where it estimates I’ll get 1100 clicks a day($160)..

The thing is, since going live, I can see that my ads have gotten many thousands of impressions, however the number of accumulated clicks to my website (which promotes Adult Friend Finder) has been extremely low so far.

The ads have only been up for a few hours and I’ve gotten 37 clicks to my site, but only 8 clicks to my affiliate links :/  I’m going to need at least 3 sales to make a profit (of $25) preferably 4 for $100 considering I get $75 per paid sign-up..these ads are going to be up for 1 week, so I’ve got 7 days to do that in.

Aside from that, I decided that I’m going to spen the majority of my time now trying out Angela’s GoArticle Backlinking tactic…The reason being is that I think I will end up seeing more results for my time investment doing that than focusing on the hubs.  With the hubs, I need to create them from scratch, they need to be of good quality and they need to be 600-800 words if I’m going to play it safe..That takes quite a while to write up.

In contrast, I already have PLENTY of articles submitted to EzineArticles that I can swipe and post on GoArticles then just build backlinks to..

So today what I did was go through some of the articles I’ve submitted for one of my main authority niches (Site #4) and look for all the articles which are based on keywords that have a good amount of searches and low competition.  I found a bunch that had an average of 1-1.5k EXACT searches according to the Google Keyword Research Tool(not the best # of searches, but that’s what I had to work with), and then went ahead and pulled those articles into GoArticles.  I did this for 11 articles…

The transition took more time than I thought…I had to revise the intro paragraph a bit so I could work in a link at the top there(which links DIRECTLY to the Clickbank sales page) and I also ended up re-writing the last paragraph just a bit as well.  Lastly there were a few times I changed the title too…

I put in individual tracking id’s for EACH article.  I can see how if I keep doing this, it’s going to make things pretty messy when checking the tracking id’s in Clickbank, but I’d like to know exactly which articles are able to get hops and sales.

Funny thing while I was doing all this was that I saw a few GoArticles on page 1 and 2 of Google where the author had been doing this same method!  There were about 30 registered backlinks to the articles, potentially from Angela’s backlinks…

After I put all the 11 articles up on GoArticles, I went and used Steve Aylor’s backlinks at 15 different sites to create backlinks via each site’s blogroll.. with the blogroll(10 links) and a blog post(1 link) I was able to get 15 links to each of the 11 articles.

Tomorrow I’ll get another 15 for these and then look for 11 more articles to do the same thing to.

Earnings For Today:

  • $80.62 (2 Sales for the main sniper site niche = $27.12, $27.12), 1 Sale for Site #1 = $26.38
  • Adsense = $1.57
  • Hops = 467

Day 37 – 15 Days Of Sales

June 11th, 2009

I found this pic on my hd, something I did up in paint like 2 years ago..It’s one of many.  I used to draw a lot of crazy stuff…

Something pretty cool happened today…It was the first time I looked at Clickbank and saw nothing but bars for all 15 days that were displayed, check it out:

11 of the last 15 days I’ve also had more than 2+ sales…I noticed that some of the last few sites I created in my main sniper niche have begun getting sales today.

So it looks like now the next target I need to make for myself is consistent $100+ days…once I’m able to hit that, I’ll be close to 3k/month, which is what I set as a target for the end of the year.  At this point I would like to at least make 4-5k by the end of the year, if I attain that, I’m not going to have to work anymore.

So, as far as what I got done today…I posted up my 2 Hubpages I wrote up yesterday and I also wrote 5 new ones and posted those up too.  These Hubs take longer than I thought they’d take to complete.  I’m trying to create quality ones so I don’t wind up in trouble with Google down the road.  Each one is turning out to be between 650-800 words.  I also spent time looking for unique pictures for each one and Youtube videos as well…this is how I’m structuring them:

=====

I’m still going to have to interlink the hubs and submit the feed, I’ll do that later..so far I’ve just bookmarked 2 of the hubs.

Aside from this, I found 2 other niches I can use to create hubs within, I did some initial research in one of them and found 7 keywords, I also did more research in my first niche for adsense hubs and found 4 more keywords, that gives me 24 hubs for the first adsense hub niche and 7 for the second so far…The 3rd is going to be a good one as it has plenty of keywords over $10 (Court mentioned if you want to get $1 clicks, you need to find a keyword that has at least a $5 CPC.

I’m going to keep this pace of at least 5 Hubs a day, at that rate I’ll have 50 hubs up in 10 days time, 100 in 20….

I’m going to see about working in Angela’s GoArticle method tomorrow in with the Hubs now that I’ve got the hang of making them.

Earnings For Today:

  • $75.80 in CB Sales – ($27.12, $27.12, $21.56…all sales from the main sniper site niche)
  • Adsense = $3.51
  • Hops = 434

Day 34 – Time For A Change

June 8th, 2009

I mentioned before that I still have a long way to go before I’m earning a full time income online…

I had also mentioned that it seems like for every 50 sniper sites I create, I’m earning around $500.  I decided to find out exactly what the ratio is by checking my sales from 2009-5-07 to 2009-6-07 and this is what I found:

Not including the last few sniper sites I just created that haven’t had time to rank, I have 56 sniper sites and in the last month they have generated $574.07 in sales.

It seems like my estimation was pretty close, 50 sniper sites = $500/month.  Now this is a far cry from making $300+/month per sniper site as George mentions he makes.. Now, I’d still take $500/month for 50 sniper sites, but that made me wonder if I’d fare better with adsense sniper sites…I was thinking if I could just get an average of $1/day for 50 sites, I’d make $50/day which is  $1500/month, 3 times what I make from Clickbank sales…

That’s just hypothetical though, I don’t know how well they would do..

But, I’m not going to be making Adsense sniper sites(at this time), I’ve decided on something else for now.  You see, as you know from my updates, I have basically been trying to get my money by working hard…It’s worked, I mean, I’ve gone from making $300/month to $1200/month in 3 months time.  However I feel that I could make MUCH more progress with less blood, sweat and tears with a different model…

The good thing about having generated this $1000/month income stream is now there are plenty of new opportunities for me to use this monthly seed money to expand my business further.  I thought about Outsourcing as well as PPC(adsense/facebook)..I can remember earlier when I wasn’t making that much money, these were things I did NOT want to try at all as the risk of losing money was a big issue.  However, once you get to the point where you’re making a good chunk of money online, it’s almost as if it’s free money to experiment with…So if you’re the type to push those options to the side, as you make more money online, you will find those doors will open up…

Now what I eventually decided on trying is something that I was actually shown before, but didn’t realize how powerful it was until I looked into the sales page and responses a bit deeper, it’s a WSO by Jeremey Kelsall called the Easy Bank Method:

www.warriorforum.com/warrior-special-offers-forum/85057-easy-bank-method-filling-your-pockets-cash-doesnt-get-any-easier.html

The thing which made me take notice was the fact that apparently 10 people are already earning $200+/day with this method and that they also have a forum created to support people who are trying this out.  Additionally, this is created by Jeremy & Zerofill who are reputable guys who only release good quality WSO’s so I decided to give it a shot.

I spent the day reading through most of the forum which took a long time as it’s 5 pages long and filled with tons of posts.  I learned a lot about the method, saw that some people implemented it with success, while others implemented it but have yet to make a sale (as with any program).

It looks like this will be particularly tough for me as I’m in Canada and this works best for those in the US.  Although Jeremy says you can still do this if you don’t live in the US, I noticed several people outside the US complaining about getting their US newspaper campaigns setup.  I think one way I might be able to work around this troublesome point is if I actually call the newspapers rather than deal with e-mail, I would need to get a US calling card for that.

Well, I’m going to give it a go and see how it works out…some people are not only making $200/day, but $400 and $700/day(with ad spends of $10-$50 or so) and the fact that this can be easily scaled up even further than that is what makes it VERY interesting.  If I can find the right places to target with this technique, I can suddenly be getting $200/days myself, it looks like it’s just going to be a matter of how many misses you take before finding that 1 big hit.

So for now, my main priority is going to be figuring this new system out and putting it in place…when I can find the time to spare though, I’ll work on a sniper site, which by the way, I now have 5 of them in the newest sniper niche up and indexed, I spent today posting the review page to most of them…None of them have reached the front page as of yet though…

Earnings For Today:

  • $63.35 = 1 Sale from the main sniper niche for $16.61, 2 Sales for Site #1($20.36 + $26.38)
  • Adsense = $2.14
  • Hops = 410

Day 31 – 3rd Sniper Site In New Niche Done

June 5th, 2009

Progress in this new sniper site niche has been a bit slower than what I’m used to the last few days but things should pick up now for the next little bit.

Not much to report today except that I was able to put up my 3rd site in this new niche.

My clickbank account has been looking pretty consistent, there is only 1 day out of the last 15 days where I’ve earned $0 and 6 of the 15 days I’ve had more than 1 sale.  My next goal is to get to the point where it’s the norm to have 2 or 3 sales a day and to have more common $100+/day spikes.. In order to make this happen, I’ll just need to either make more sites or enter more niches.

Earnings For Today:

  • $26.66 – Sale from a sniper site in the main sniper site niche
  • Adsense = $2.93
  • 388 Hops

Day 29 – It's Over 500!

June 3rd, 2009

Today I had some job related business to take care of, nevertheless I managed to take that content I created yesterday and put up the site in this new niche.  I’m planning on putting up around 20 more sites in this niche as thats how many keywords I’ve found thus far that seem decent.

It seems like a bunch of my sites in my main sniper niche that had been hovering between the bottom of page 1 and top of page 2 are now rising and getting more hops due to either time or more likely the UAW submissions that are going on…as a result, I’ve seen a SIGNIFICANT increase in the number of hops registered for today.  Clickbank for some reason doesn’t count the end of the day until 3am ES and because I’m going to bed a bit earlier these days, i won’t be able to give you the exact hops or even sales for the day(if more by chance come in).  But I can tell you that last I checked, my total hops for the day was *511*!

It’s crazy!  Back on April 6th or so, near when I started this site I had only about 90 hops for the day, I’ve now increased that number 5x in 1 month!

By the way, today was another insane day for sales, I got 4 Clickbank sales for a total of $96.10!  2 of those sales came from 1 of my 4 sites in the main sniper site niche that targetted a product name as the keyword…that site is ranking #3 on page#2 of Google, it’s only gotten 2 hops yet it has gotten 1 person buying both the regular item and the upsell (hence the 2 sales).

Man, I’m just blown away by how easy it is to get hops with this sniper method…

Earnings For Today:

  • $96.10 in CB Sales – 2 Sales for a sniper site in the main sniper site niche (combined total = $49.96), 1 sale for Site#1 = $26.38 and one sale for a sniper site that has been ranked #1 for the last few days = $19.38 … This sniper site is getting 10-15 hops a day, today it got 18 hops out of 56 visits(according to AWStats)  ..this same site got a sale 2 days ago as well.
  • Adsense = $6.16
  • Total for the day = $102.26
  • I’ll report tomorrow on the total number of hops/sales for today if it changes as it’s not yet the end of the day

Day 21 – I'm In Shock!

May 26th, 2009

Today I had an issue with my hosting company in which they called me and told me that apparently one of my sites (Site #6) was using up 25% of the server’s CPU!  This is what they sent:

—-
Total Requests:2
Unique Visitors:2
Total Processes:1
CPU Usage:27.8
Total Running MySQL Queries:1
Total Web Processes:1

Hello,

This is a courtesy notice to inform you that the following script has been temporarily disabled due to excessive resource usage:
/home/mysite/public_html/index.php

As you can see above and below, the script in question was using more than the 25% CPU usage allocated to your account as per our terms of service.Incoming Requests:

some IP listed here              mysite        /ar/”my main keyword” (has to do with the google translator plugin)
some IP listed here#2         mysite       /feed/rss

I had no idea what this was all about, but I disabled all my plugins, then re-enabled them all, with the exception of the translator plugin, and now they brought the site back online…Anyone had to deal with this kind of stuff before?

This whole problem though was something that took up some time out of my day to deal with, as well as some other hosting issues, so I only got around to completing 1 sniper site today.  I’m going to see if I can do 3 Sniper sites tomorrow to make up for it though.

But, all the above is not what I was shocked about…This is what shocked me:

I made $147.35 in Clickbank sales!

Wow, just wow…if all my days were like this I’d be set!

Remember how I mentioned that 1 of my sniper sites that disappeared from Google returned?  Well, that site got a sale.  Also, *3* of my sniper sites in my main sniper niche got a sale and I got 2 more sales from Site #1!

That’s 6 sales total, 4 of which were from sniper sites…

Furthermore, I got a whopping 386 hops! O_o:

I’m hoping this trend continues :>

Earnings For Today:

  • 6 sales for $147.35 – main sniper site niche sales = $27.12, $27.12, $26.33….Site #1 sales = $20.36, $26.38….Sniper site in niche 2 = $20.04
  • Adsense = $3.02
  • Total for today = $150.37
  • Hops = 386

Day 18 – Another Detailed Look At My Hops

May 23rd, 2009

Well, today I did a bit of research into other possible keywords to make sniper sites out of, I want to find more keywords in other niches and diversify a bit so I found about 21 I can go after, 15 are decent ones, 6 are a bit iffy.

Right now I’m sticking to only niches which have Clickbank products as I want my main source of income to be from there…

Today one of my previous sniper sites was indexed and I posted up the last post (the review) and for the day it generated 6 hops on page 2 – position #1…

I also setup 2 more Sniper Sites in the main sniper site niche..that brings the total to 28 sites in the main sniper site niche and 45 sniper sites in total…the rest of the breakdown is as follows: 2 sniper sites in Site#1’s niche, 11 in Site #2’s niche and 4 in a new niche I had ventured into.

Thought I’d show you what the inside of Clickbank looks like for me these days…tried to make it clear which sites are getting what hops with colors..

I also added the number of visits each site got (according to Google Analytics)..it’s important to note that Google Analytics shows a lower number of visitors for each site than the Cpanel AWStats does for some reason…I don’t know why, maybe it doesn’t include spidering activity as visits or something?  But there can be a big descrepencysome of the time (ex: 1 site in AWStats shows 58 visits while in Analytics only 18).

Also…one of the sites has almost all of it’s visitors clicking through to the aff link and another with 0 visits but 1 hop, don’t quite understand those sites, maybe Analytics isn’t 100% accurate in it’s tracking…

Another note, there are some instances where 1 site has 2 seperate tracking id’s.  It’s a bit messy but hopefully you can make sense of it (you might want to right click then select view image to make it bigger):

For comparison, here’s what my Clickbank account looked like on May 5th:

Earnings For Today:

  • $26.33 Sale for a site in the main sniper site niche
  • $2.64 in Adsense
  • 255 hops
