Regarding The Daily Updates
Hey guys,
I’ve been thinking about this for some time….lately the daily updates have gotten pretty mundane/monotonous and I’ve been questioning whether or not this is really something I should continue doing. Especially since the daily updates have served their purpose, I intended to update daily until I was able to reach a full time income, which I did some time ago.
Granted I had a dip in the income, but I question whether I should be updating you on a daily basis about adding 10-15 pages to a site each and every day…I also don’t want the blog to be just about checking how much money I made for the day.
I’ve done the daily updates continuously now for 427 days, and sure, I could keep going , but I just feel that the original intention has long been served.
One other thing about giving daily updates is it doesn’t give me much time to rethink and figure out additional approaches to my business as I feel a responsibility to deliver some tangible work rather than just log that I’ve been brainstorming various tactics for 1 week straight.
I’m thinking I should switch to just updating just whenever I feel there is something worth mentioning. I’ll try not updating for a week and see how that goes…
Thoughts?

I am wondering is Mike busy with Starcraft 2 lately. That’s why no time to update the blog. LOL.
Hahaha I think Starcraft 2 has distracted many.
Mike, I think your next post should be a review of Starcraft 2 haha
Mike is using this WP plugin called “Got A Life” – it’s so cool – he has it! A life, I mean.
=P
Mike, Enjoyed your updates, including your successes and frustrations. Good luck and post
i wont touch starcraft 2 after what starcraft 1 did to me.
Yeah James, thats the one, but that look like it might be a reseller’s page for the same product. I think i pissed off ole diamond dave and now there is only one price for it 500.00!! you could basically get one site license and change your email to read the other sites.
So no more 1 lic. i was afraid i was going to miss out and i did.
But he wont answer questions about certain things.
Like, if you buy the unlimited, will it run on more than one host.
I was holding off for him to say how we could get it to work on Hostgator but it never happened. Me and a few others all have HG.
If anyone is interested in this plug in as a share, let me know.
If you think about it just plainly,
This thing blows the water out of everything out there. PERIOD.
Well i went from 2.00 in may to 7.00 in june to 27.00 in july. how did everyone else do?? I just bought a back of 1k backlinks each to 10 of my sites for August. 10% spent of what backlinkpro cost, lol. a wasted 10%
I will play starcraft 2, but it will be a year or 2. I need a new computer to run it. I’m sure my laptop could handle it, but not too well. Not to mention I would need a mouse.
Come to think of it, I still need to finish the last campaign in brood war haha
Hey, all – I’ve just got this new plugin – cannot believe the effectiveness of it, either!
NOT black_#@t — but it works something aweful! Check it out (just click my name).
This isn’t hype – though the affiliate tools page has produced tons of hype and empty promises, but seriously, I’m dumb-founded!
Mike, if you’re listening, check it out!
Hi James,
Have you achieve any good result with this plugin?
Thanks
@Leon
Oh yes! I’ve got a pair of test sites I tried it on, wrote that up in the review. And I also started inserting the plugin to my other sites and realizing the my earlier sites, except a couple, were horribly SEOd and I never had an objective way to check.
One in particular was dismal – and found out by using this plugin that my on page SEO was to blame more than backlinks.
It’s a lot like having an in-house SEO audit, with a few more bells and whistles. Definitely worth the investment, if you can call it that at that price.
ah man, still no updates? this is worse than being sent to the corner./
Mike’s in Tahiti.
Thanks James. Will check on that. Wonder will it help to improve ranking on long tail keyword. Found it difficult to rank for my long tail keyword.
yeah i will check that plugin out.
anyone know anything about thesis’s 303 redirect.
i have looked around a lot and gotten 3 things.
1) nothing
2) its bad
3) its ok to use with out hurting your site.
i think its awesome to use for affiliate links IF it doesnt hurt your site.
what do you guys think about using 303’s??
@leon
Yes – I only use longtails. Immediate improvement for sure.
Greentea: shoulda went with Socrates. =)
lol why socrates??
It’s just simpler to use, more of a plug n play, very low-tech but effective. Same with the Flexibility Theme, with FlexSqueeze or without the upgrade – very easy to use, no getting lost with this or that.
@James. Do you found UAW still effective, I have my first UAW submission 2 weeks ago. However, I didn’t notice increase of backlinks with Yahoo Backlink explorer. Is this normal?
Thanks
@leon
I actually don’t track it but once a month, I’d keep plugging in articles myself. Stagger the submissions, if you read Mike’s readme, that’s definitely the way to go: keep building.
I wouldn’t stop with just one submission, though – I’d do 2-3 per page, but it’s really up to you. So, I’m not sure “when” the links show up, just that in time they do.
For the best result, though, when you write your article, before you spin it, submit it to EZA. Then spin/submit/change titles for UAW. The higher traffic of EZA (Alexa rating of 125) gets your links picked up in G, B and Y, although now B and Y are the same search engine.
This is also what I love about a mixed approach, using Magic Submitter I take the same article and submit to some really good article directories (or SENuke works well too, or other similar tools). Then submit to UAW and personally I also use ArticleRanks – though I think Mike simply stuck with what worked in his case, the simplest route.
I tend to do a few extra steps, using various submitters.
@James. Thanks for your detailed reply. I hope I can get magic submitter soon, but have to stick with UAW at the moment due to limited budget. Will try do some on page SEO and see how it goes.
I think why Mike stick with UAW, part of the reason might be easier to outsource and the solution is very much automated.
Thanks so much bro.
Mike, are you alive?
Does anyone have an active blog?
If not, ill make one and we can track and talk.
um…yeah…sorta kinda do.

Thanks everyone who posted here but I did not get back to…I DID read all the posts.
I’ll try and answer a few here, I’ll answer the posts that got caught in pending first(I’ve put you all on the auto-approve list):
@CLR
Thanks for commenting and for the props :>
@Francesco
Much appreciated Francesco, thanks man..
@Thomas Stowe
Hey Thomas, I understand the frustration with that, been there…I’m not doing any 1on1 stuff at the moment, but if you had any questions I might be able to answer them on the blog.
The main thing to figuring this stuff out is not having a mentor, but rather wanting it bad enough to commit massive amounts of time and doing whatever it takes to getting your online business producing results. I never had a mentor…if you’re tenacious enough, you won’t need one either.
@Gouch
Thanks for the feedback man :>
@Paul Williams
I understand that it was quite valuable, Paul, thank you..Regarding daily or any other structured updating, I don’t want to say that I’ll be doing it again only to change my mind later :/
@Colton
Hey whatsup Colton? Ya, I know my site appears for a bunch of stuff.. Didn’t know there was actually a course on Internet Marketing being taught O_o. I pretty much shared everything I did (within reason) on my blog, so reading through it all and the read-me would be a good start!
@Arlen
Thanks Arlen, ok, there’s a post coming :>
lol!
@Will
Will, ya, make an account and dig your site..
And I always use exact match, never phrase…When I talk about going after keywords that have at least 2.4k+ searches a month, I’m talking exact match.
@greentea
As well as the ones James listed check out-

Neither update daily, but they are updated fairly often and the information is good.
@Mikeman
Glad to hear from you again =)
