Day 97 – Put Up 2 Sniper Sites

August 10th, 2009

MAC meets PC

Well, I’m still going to be posting here barring something that seriously impacts my income: Regarding Yesterday

Now…I haven’t done my usual amount of work the past 2 days…today I only got 2 sniper sites done…I have a total of 14 that I’m looking to develop right now(2 are done) in my main niche.Β  I had previously tried entering into a new niche and built 9 sniper sites as you may recall…those sites STILL haven’t begun ranking so it seems as if it’s just one of those niches where the competition is just way too strong and it takes a long while to start ranking(been about 5 days)…

Hopefully these 2 sniper sites I just worked on get indexed and rank on first page by tomorrow, if I see that happen I’ll probably go all out with building the rest of these snipers, otherwise I may shift my attention more to working on my hubs…

One thing I had mentioned a couple of days ago was I did an experiment where I converted an authority site over to an adsense site…Previously it had adsense on it but it was mainly promoting an affiliate product on market health that never got any sales for months…so I switched over to CB, but I wasn’t seeing sales popping up there really, so I just converted it over to a nice adsense theme and the result is that it now looks like I’m generating $1-$1.50/day instead of $7/month in adsense from this site(FYI, the site gets 90-100 visits a day).

Earnings For Today:

BTW yesterday I made $69.53 in CB sales and $5.04 in Adsense

  • $47.16 – 2 sniper site sales
  • Hops = 209(new)/370(old)
  • Adsense = $2.49 (Infobarrel = $0.25)

    Glad to see that you are still posting Mikeman! I look forward to them everyday…

    Nice to see some good results from switching back to Adsense.

    Personally, I see that you do a lot of work on Hubs/Infobarrels, and I really hope it pays off for you long-term…but like you, I also find my best results come from niche websites (cj and clickbank products) so I focus my efforts on that at the moment.

    Keep going, keep your eye on the prize, and just keep working hard! You’ll get there regardless of what other people do to sabotage you…

    Good job switching over to the adsense site. I assume that means your revenue increased once you changed the placement of the ad blocks.

    I was thinking about your last post. Now, maybe you can see that someone if copying your sites, but I imagine the sniper competition will only continue to increase as there seem to be alot of people looking for the quick buck. Also, not sure if you noticed but George re-opened his WSO not that long ago.

    Hey Mike. Glad you’re writing again because it’s easy to work when I check my Google reader and see that there are some other people making a living online as well.
    Just a question, I’ve read in the last posts that you have up to 200 hubs, but you don’t seem to get up to 5 dollars a day with them. I’ve seen that Ben K from make money online with seo does more than 100 dollars a day with day, what you think is the difference? I’m handling the same problem myself and no matter what domain would I choose, I don’t get enough clicks/traffic πŸ™

    Mike,

    I’m glad you are posting still too. I look forward to the updates. The site you converted to an adsense theme-how many adsense blocks do you have per page and is it a blog that already has a number of posts?

    Mike I’m happy to see you are still posting! Congrats on your adsense going up from since switching your theme!

    Since getting banned from EPN I removed my ebay listings from my main site and my Adsense has DOUBLED! I guess people are wanting to click and if all they have is Adsense to click on then that’s what they’ll be clicking?

    I have just the one sniper site with a clickbank product and in all this time I’ve only received ONE clickbank sale. I think my made up stories aren’t convincing. My other sniper sites are for Adsense only but I’m waiting for them to move up in the ranks and for Ezine to approve articles linking to them.

    I’m think Adsense has far more potential than clickbank products at least from me. πŸ˜€ Maybe on sites where you are getting a lot of hops but no sales you should consider taking down the affiliate links, put up adsense and just see what happens?

    Well, at least adsense is pretty steady… and with the reported problems with CB, true or not true, it is a good thing to have several pipes where money flows through.

    Personally, my goal is to make at least $100 per day in adsense before thinking about any other income stream.

    @Darren

    Thanks Darren…ya I’m hoping to get the hub income up to at least $30/day…apparently I should be getting that with 300 hubs/150 infobarrel/150 ezines, but we’ll see..

    @Carrie

    Ya Carrie, the placement of the ad blocks changed with the theme…the ad block moved from being a widget on the right to a left hand side column…that’s whats getting the most clicks now.

    This competition is not something I’m going to worry about…I have over 100 sites, this is only affecting a small percentage of them (less than 2%)

    Didn’t know he relaunched that again..

    @alex

    Nice, glad it helps..Ya, I’ve been speaking with Ben and apparently I need to wait more…you need to wait at least 2 weeks for the hubs to age and start getting clicks. It apparently takes time for these hubs to start ranking.

    A lot of the properties I’ve built still may need some time…All I can do is just keep backlinking them with Ezines and keep producing new ones and see what happens…I still have $800 worth of credits to use up in Human Rewriter for outsourcing articles..

    @Evita
    Hey Evita, OK I’ll check it..

    Debbie, the blog already has 60 posts and it has 1 link unit at the top, 1 skyscraper at the left side and one box at the top and bottom of the post.

    @Shelly

    Hey thanks Shelly, nice results on the adsense site :>

    If all you have is just 1 sniper site and you’ve made 1 sale, sounds like you’re on track…The most I expect from any 1 sniper site is 2-3 sales a month, but most will get either 1 or 0 sales.

    Last month I had around 100-116 sniper sites and I made 56 sniper site sales and those sales came from 42 of my sniper sites… That means around 36-42% of my sites are profitable at any given month. So really the only thing you’re missing is QUANTITY..

    There is potential in both adsense or CB, it all depends on what you focus your energies on to try and master. There is a learning curve to anything, you just may be further along on the Adsense learning curve than you are on the CB learning curve.

    I’m not really into redoing old sites, I only did this because it was easy…if I were to take off aff links on all my old posts though, I’d have to go through 60-120 posts which would take a long time.

    @Evita

    Well, about the CB problems, I haven’t encountered any issues and that’s all that matters to me :> I don’t think that $0 day was an issue, those happen… Ya $100/day through adsense snipers would be nice…I might try adsense snipers soon.

    Mike,

    I’m a big fan of Mr. Bean. My favorite episode is when he goes to the dentist and accidentally injects the dentist with anesthesia in the leg and then goes on to drill on his own teeth not knowing which x-ray is up, down, left or right. Hysterical!

    Hahha, ya I remember that episode, been watching it myself since the mid 90’s, good stuff..
