Day 61 – Got A LOT Done Today!

What Did I Tell You About The Garden Hose?

The Garden Hose...

Today I really worked myself to the bone, I must have worked a solid 9-10 hours…Ever since I noticed my Hubpages bringing in some cash, even though I only had 10 of them, I’ve been curious about getting into the whole Hubpage/Adsense earning deal.

So today, I decided I would not only do my usual 2 sniper sites for the day, but I’d also see if I can fit in some Hubpages.

The end result was I got my 2 sniper sites created, posted up on the net, bookmarked and with RSS feeds submitted (I’ll make a post soon explaing what all I do when creating these sniper sites), then I went and wrote up 10 400-500 word articles to be posted up onto Hubpages.ย  Before when I made hubs I was making them 700-800 words which is what Court from the Keyword Academy recommended.ย  However I know that Ben who followed along in Court’s 100 hub challenge has also been successful with this method, making around $30-40/day…and he’s done so with 400-500 word articles, so I opted to go with this length instead.

I didn’t have the time to post them up though, I will do so tomorrow..

From now on, I’m going to try and fit in some Hubpages as I feel based on my past little success with my 10 hubs, I can easily increase my adsense income by doing this many times over.ย  The thing I like about adsense is it’s steady and consistent, there are no days of $0 sales and there are no refunds…I think it will be a great way to supplement my CB income.

Earnings For Today:

  • $140.21! Nice sales day… 2 sales for sniper sites in Site#2’s niche = $19.66, $20.04, 2 sales in the main sniper niche = $26.65, $27.12, 2 sales for Site#1 = $20.36, $26.38
  • Adsense = $2.80
  • Hops = 431

    Hey Mike,

Great sales day you had. For your hubpages will you be doing backlinking or just let them rank naturally? How competitive will you go for the keywords? Also for the sniper sites if you see on page 1 sites like ehow, answerbag and amazon do you think you can outrank them with enough anchor text backlinks? It seems ehow is showing up for so many phrases I test. I guess certain authority sites like ehow and about.com can really dominate the engines.

I answered already in private but I’ll answer your question here too just incase anyone else wants to know..

I’m going to be interlinking my hubs in the following way:

    hub#2 links to hub#1,
    hub#3 links to hub#2 and hub#1
    hub#4 links to hub#3,Hub#2,Hub#1
etc.. all the way to hub#10(which will have 9 links to other hubs)

I will choose the hubs I want to have the most links to be at the top…This system will allow for 1 way links only, I am not creating a link wheel…the downside is that links are not evenly distributed though..

After doing this I will likely do more backlinking, just not sure from where yet.

It’s hard for me to say with certainty without seeing the whole scenario whether you can overtake the ehow or not..I do a lot of this by intuition. I would suggest doing this enough so that you can develop your own sense of intuition rather than relying on formulas which are not going to be as effective.

I’m glad you asked this. I have been encountering more and more of this as I have been conducting researches. One great KW I found had nothing but the first 3 positions dominated by ehow and an ezine article was in the #5 position. but I am afraid with so many eHow articles, it would be hard to snipe.
