Hey thanks Carrie...

As far as bookmarking is concerned, at the moment I'm only bookmarking my new Sniper Sites.

Every time I create a new site, I bookmark it with BMD immediately after. I give some variations of the title and description before submitting..I also make sure to pull a random bookmark from an RSS feed to make the bookmarking look more natural.

I don't concern myself with how fast I'm bookmarking, I just bookmark what needs to be bookmarked.

I don't have time for it anymore, but back when I was bookmarking my authority sites, I would bookmark 2-3 of those pages at a time, and a max of about 5-6 a day. I'd try not to overdo it each day so as not to get any of my bookmarking accounts deleted.

If you do happen to notice a negative shift in rankings, it's probably just what Angela has termed the Google Dance which is a natural process when you build up backlinks. your site may go down in rankings or disappear, but it returns..

Nice work, Mike. Your success is inspiring.

I did have a question about your bookmarking. How do you go about that - how many sites, how quickly, etc.? I have found lately that when I bookmark too much I actually lose rankings so now I am nervous to do much with new sites. I am curious what seems to work well for you.

Thanks Shelly :>

And np JB...when I do what I do, I don't even think twice about the money I spend on domains(like that time I bought 28 domains in 1 day)...I also realize that after I've done my keyword research, whether a site becomes successful or not should not be a worry, it doesn't even enter my head, the only thing I focus on is getting my quota of sites up for the day (which is now 2) and then assessing the results a while down the road...

Hey Pete...

To answer your question, I would go as low as 2.9k exact...however 5.4 or even 4.4k is more ideal...

Another factor to consider when you're looking at these figures is the competition for this niche. Often times when you build a site, you not only rank on page 1 for your target keyword, but for variations as well...if you pick a tough niche, it will be harder to pull in traffic from variations due to increased competition, and thus the 2.9k searches in one niche will vary from 2.9k in another.

I've had situations where I pick a keyword that has maybe 2.9k searches for say "acne herbal home remedies" and then I end up also ranking on page 1 for say "acne herbal remedies" which may be another 2.9k phrase...

You know I actually picked a 1.6k exact search phrase in the weightloss niche recently...what happened was it ended up ranking #4 on page 1, but its now only getting an average of 10 visits a day according to cpanel and only getting a hop a day...

I'm not wasting my time with keywords like that anymore...

Hi Mike,

What is the lowest you will go on exact searches per month for a sniper site? I have found an easy keyword phrase but it only get 1300/month exact searches. Phrase and Broad are 1300 and 1600 respectively.

Thanks,
Peter

Thanks for the advice, Mike! What you're saying is true. I guess I AM afraid to waste money or time but it's all necessary to find the goldmine!

Thanks Lisa, hah, I don't mind helping out for free if you have any questions here...

Hey Sara, well, I have distractions as well I don't always do it in one sitting, but I always make sure the job gets done by the end of the day!

Susan, thanks...ya with some niches it can be hard to find keywords to work with...The more experience you get with building sniper sites though, the more keywords will open up to you as you will gain the confidence to go after keywords which would seem a bit more difficult.

EX: Keywords with 50k competition in quotes vs 15k in quotes

Mike

Great work; I decided to go ahead and do my keyword research again and begin buying domains. While I have yet to find a goldmine like you; I did find some that had over 5,000 searches.

Although there were only 3 decent domains in that niche. I spend around 2 hours each day doing my KW research; but I want to avoid too much competition.

Good luck keep it up.

Sweet! Congratulations! I've been taking your approach and doing several sites in one niche. But I am not as productive as you :) I never seem to have 3 hours in one shot to work on it and that equals distractions! LOL
