Day 400 – Researched 25 Keywords

Didn’t get as much done today as it was a busy day for me…I did however manage to research good inner keywords for 5 of my sites(5 new posts each for a total of 25 new pages). My sole outsourcer(at this point) won’t be writing for me until Friday though .. I still have to make that posting for more ppl ..

- Adsense = $61.61 (adsense seems to hover around the $60’s now)

That is good you are adding more content-hopefully that will help a lot to bring back up your sites.
$60 a day would actually be awesome for me, but when you are used to a different pay grade so to speak that does suck, plus you have done a crap load more work than I have. It will pick back up again, maybe all of this extra work will bring you up to the $150 a day mark.

Don’t worry about it. It is because Google is not done updating yet, and if they don’t come back in Google there are 2 more search engines that are carving out a bigger piece of the pie every day. Google is going to fail caffeine is a joke and people are leaving it in droves. good luck
yea i’ve read the xfactor adsense book already. 3-4 keywords per main page eh.
Mike- How many keywords do you put per “site”. And how related are your keywords. I might have to start doing bigger mns (3-4kw) so i waste less money on domains. Seems hard to find a lot of related kw that fit all the criteria.

It all depends what you’re using for your KW research — but even using Goo’le’s external kw tool, you get a return of hundreds of related terms.
If you’ve read the XFactor book, then these questions are answered: 5 kw/site to begin with.
On your *inner pages* you don’t need to use the same criteria as your main domain – I think that’s where you’re getting stuck. You want an aggregate of about 5k-10k or so total searches per month, with 5k being the lower limit.
Technically, you could have 5 kw’s of 1k searches/month each (per XFactor, not per Mike). If you read earlier comments from Mike, he has gone as low as 500 monthly searches for an inner page kw.
Man this drop in income is very odd… I guess I’ll be happy that it doesn’t affect me, I’ve went from $1/day last month with my 4 websites to $4 a day so far since june 1. Yet a lot of people are complaining… I was assuming they were just freaking out (ppl in IM always like to say the world is falling ever since I started reading about it 3 months ago) but Mike has daily adsense reports and it’s been lower for a few days now! I guess time will tell if things pick back up for everyone else. I must be doing something different or maybe I just have too few websites and they happen to all be “approved” by the new google update.

@james i use market samurai. I guess it doesn’t matter how related the keywords are right? Like i could even do something like x knives, then inner keywords could be a different brand of knives? Or should i make the main domain something general like kitchenproductreviews.com then have anything kitchen related for inner pages? Just seeing how you guys set it up. It wouldn’t be good if i just threw random keywords that aren’t related on a page right? Like if i had x cosmetics for main page, then inner pages i’d have something like x toys?
Also. For the meta description what do you guys do? Should i leave it default or should i change it. Generally i take something from adwords to create my site description/title for instance, if it was drinking water I would prob have something like Great Deals and Sales Daily on Drinking Water. Get An Honest Opinion And Reviews on Drinking Water.
I wonder if that’s why most of my sites are disappearing what do you think? Should i just leave it default so it pulls excerpts from my articles or what do you guys do?
Sorry for so many posts but i also saw that you put BMD somewhere i saw it pop up once in a while on your posts mike. does that stand for book marketing demon, and how good is it for backlinks?

Before I’d do 5 kw/site, now of course I’m expanding..All the keywords I get are keywords you find in the related kw listing when you do a search in the Google KW tool…If I can’t find one there though, I may take a related kw and do a search on that to see if I can find some additional related kw’s that way.
Ya, at times you can’t find related keywords that you think you’ll be able to rank for.. If that’s the case, just pick whatever keyword you can and hope for at least long tail traffic from it.

Ya Alex, the reason you wouldn’t have noticed anything is probably because you have just the 4 sites..Unfortunately this is a reality.

But as I mentioned in the readme, I go as low as 2.4k exact for the main kw, other inner page kw’s I go as low as 300 exact.
About BMD, BMD = Bookmarking Demon..it’s not so much for links as it is to get your site indexed and started off well.

You should change your meta description to a unique excerpt imho, make sure to keep the kw’s in there as naturally as you can, and every page has its own meta description.
My adsense income took a big hit too. started to notice a difference the last week of May. I guess this will separate the men from the boys.
Something like this can take the wind out of you. But if you are in it to win it.

Keep building sites, bigger and stronger. find some niches you can stick with and keep building continuously and consistently and dont forget the backlinks.

My main page is acheving 300 per month and inner pages will be around 40 searches. I am writting down the keywords and going to bookmark them. Also, i am finding relative low competition searches. I am on 2nd pages for most of long tail keyowrds. 3 months. I think next 6 month i will be attracting 1k-5k easily.
@James. I’ve been making my meta descriptions by taking the adword ads on the right side and using those descriptions and adding my own keywords.
