Day 390 – Adsense Sniper #221

Put up my 221st adsense site today… It seems like this past month, my latest batch of sites (sites #174+) have improved a bit.Β  Last month they brought in around $387, this month they’ll probably bring in $100 more than that.

Sites #1-174 though, the ones that I’ve focused on a bit more by building up backlinks to the inner pages and such though is another story, they’re looking to bring in the same amount of money as last month, around 3k.

Totals for this month I’m guessing will be in and around 5- 5.5k for the month which isn’t an increase, but more maintaining which at the moment is fine with me.

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $31.85
  • Adsense = $106.10
  • Total = $137.95

Hi Mike, just wondered if you were thinking about building your sites out, or if you plan to stick with your current method? I believe at the moment your launching 5 page sites right? I just noticed John X factor is now stating that ALL of his site have 100+ pages each. Whats your take on this? I found his comments about building out his sites particularly interesting given all the talk about deindexing lately.

Ya, spoke about this one before…after I’m done putting up my last few sites I’ll be looking into either doing extra backlinking or adding more pages to my existing sites.

Not all my sites have 5 pages though…Probably 100 or so have 6 pages and a handful have more than that.

Hey Mike, I have a simple question. I currently have a $10 baby package hosting account on hostgator which means all my websites have the same IP address. You use reseller accounts… does that mean all your sites have different IP address’?

And also, how did you learn about the 75% rebates or whatever for the 1 year of hosting offer on black friday? Was it announced on the official hostgator website ? ( I definately want to take advantage of a similar offer in the future!)

There’s a post somewhere on here where I discussed all this..

With reseller you get I think around 3-4 diff IP’s…with yours, you probably get 1(guessing).

I don’t remember how I learned about the 75% off, I was just lucky to come across it…

Hey Mikeman i’ve got a quick question. As you do your niche research how do you handle that wide open keyword with the unavailable domain name for it?

You mean a keyword that looks like it’s good but there’s no domain available so you can’t get the exact match domain?

I skip it..there are plenty of other keywords to find. When you add words to the domain it will take longer to rank your domain for the same kw as if you had gotten the exact match. I don’t like making my life hard when it doesn’t have to be.

    Hi Mike,

Do you buy domain with “-” between niche keyword? For example, blue-widget.com (if bluewidget.com is not available anymore).

    Hey Mike,
You have an incredible amount of valuable information on this site. One question for you and I think I saw it answered elsewhere but I can find it now.

Do you ever put an actual product/manufacturer in the url? For example, would you set up a domain of applemacbookpro.com or harmony2100remote.com?

Also, I just found a keyword that looks good, but the .com and .net are taken leaving the .org. On page 1 of google there is the .net and it’s an xfactor site. Would you leave this alone (some unwritten code like you don’t mess with another man’s girl) or go for it?

    @Mike Roosa

Ya, answered both those questions before :>

I used to, but no longer go after brand name domains..don’t want to have to deal with the headache of C&D letters all the time which sometimes escalate to complaints under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy to ICANN.

If such a complaint is filed, you hear from your registrar, and have your whois privacy protection removed while they deliberate on whether to hand your domain over or not.

And regarding other XFactor type sites, I used to leave those kw’s alone, but the game has gotten cut throat with tons of ppl jumping into my own niches, so I figured screw it…if I see another XFactor site that means it’s easy to rank for and if there is an opening I’ll now take it.
