<a href="#comment-476" rel="nofollow">@elsieh</a>

Hey thanks Linda, that's no problem..I probably won't be making any WSO's anytime soon if at all though, I only put those links at the side up at the request of others, otherwise there would be no affiliate links on here at all...

The reason is I just feel more comfortable talking with everyone here without money entering into the equation.

I'd also rather not make money on the Internet by showing other people how to make money on the internet..

Once I'm making a full-time income, I might consider it, but ONLY if I felt like I could offer some sort of unique spin or something that hasn't been shown or said before and if I felt I could help people by doing so...

Just want to give a shout out to Mike for his excellent customer service. I bought a product from one of his links and wasn't sure about the right way to use it. Asked Mike a few questions about it and he replied straight away to each question and gave detailed explanations of how to use it to get the most benefit. Thanks Mike, you're customer service is exemplary and will stand you in good stead when you release your own products/WSO's one day.

<a href="#comment-472" rel="nofollow">@Debbie</a>

Hey Debbie, thanks for the link...

I'm putting 1 clickable link at the end of the first paragraph ya...all links are going straight to the sales page, not to any blog.

What I'm doing right now is using sites that have blogrolls where you can put in 10 links...then I also make a post with the blog provided and put an 11th link in for that 1 site. So in the end, I end up getting 11 backlinks per site I advertise on.

That's interesting that he switches to other Web 2.0 properties if he already sees a listing. There is also the possibility though of getting a supplemental listing under the already existing Ezine Article/GoArticle though..

As far as competition, I'm not writing articles from scratch, so I'm only finding the best articles I already have and working with those.

However, if I was to do this from scratch, I would just be using my intuition....when you do this enough, you don't go by any set formula, you sort of develop this feeling for if you will rank or not..

I'll be going by the same criteria I used to rank my sniper sites unless I learn to do things otherwise through experience.

So I'll be looking to see if there are web 2.0 properties on page 1, I'll check to see if there are around 2 PR2's or lower on the front page, I'll check the backlinks of all the competition, I'll check to see that the # of competing sites seems reasonable and this can fluctuate depending upon the previous data (I've wound up ranking on page 1 with up to 60k competing sites before)

Once you develop your own way of assessing competition, you don't bend to everyone else's individual suggestions on how to interpret competition..that will only confuse you.

You can take it into consideration, but the best thing to go on is your past exeperience...and if through your work your experience tells you otherwise, change your approach.

Hey Mike,

I am going to try to backlink to some goarticles so I am glad you are doing this. Are you putting in a clickable link within the first paragraph? Are they all going directly to the affiliate program or do you also go to a landing page or blog? I think you are putting 10 or 11 outgoing links from the blogrolls to goarticles. I haven't tried that. This guy said if he already sees a result or two on page 1 from goarticles he'll use ezinearticles or squidoo. He backlinks to his articles and usually Angela's links and blogs:

Are you using the competition that Angela suggests of under 500k without quotes? I love reading your blog and progress.
