Day 350 – 3 UAW’s Done, 12 Total

April 20th, 2010

Lol @ 1:11-1:39!

Not much to report today, just another day of UAW submissions…

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $0
  • XFactor Sale = $30.80 (tnx :>)
  • UAW sale/renewals = $28.14, $26.80 (tnx :>)
  • Adsense = $126.63 (BTW, I looked at the past few weeks to see why my income dipped down in adsense, and I found it to be the result of both dips in page impressions as well as dips in eCPM…mainly eCPM though..Hopefully backlinking will result in this being raised up though)
  • Total = $212.37

Hi Mike, I am following you in this blog and I would say that after that I am pretty much more motivated to continue creating sites to get money by advertising. I am from Brazil and most of my sites so far are written in Portuguese, I guess we do not have here so many competitors in this area as we have in English. 

I would like to ask you if you can suggest any book or e-book with good tips especially about how to find potential key words as a theme of the site.

What about the Google tool Adwords, can we trust on its data? What do you suggest as similar to Adwords?

Thanks a lot and congratulations for your blog.

    yo Mike man.
haha, you really put up a lot of values here.
way too much till i still can’t finish reading all of them (your posts)!

first off, wanna say i respect your working ethics.
mad respect for your hard work.
101 articles in one day shows that indeed.

so Mike, wanna ask u. how does wordpress help with the rankings?
as compared to just using static html (pure xfactor style) for adsense.
does wordpress help save you some backlinking work?

Hey Mike, I got UAW through your link today as a thanks for all the info. Hopefully it will get all my sites sitting on page two onto page one.

It’s here on the top right: hxxp://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=”Dickies+Bag” (replace xx with tt)

    Results 1 – 10 of about 17,300 for “Dickies Bag”. (0.22 seconds)

Yeah it’s 17.3K, either it’s changed recently or Mike just rounded up to 20K for the example. It’s not a hugely important metric regardless, “competition” (PR+backlinks) for the first 10 results on a similar search WITHOUT QUOTES is more what you should be looking at.

    Hope that helps.

@MikeMan – Wow a million thanks for this blog – it’s superb. Finally read all posts from the beginning, I think I gotta start taking action and get a mini adsense empire of my own under construction! Thankyou!

I told ya like a few weeks ago I was gonna sign up through your aff. links, but I do not see MNF-do they not have an affiliate program or is this the one where you had to pay monthly fees to them. Hopefully in a couple of weeks I will be able to get UAW-MNF-ClickBump. We will see though-you have at least one that I want 😉

    Tnx man,

your site should definitely be indexed in a week, if not, you’re doing something very wrong.

Check my read me to see the process I follow and do the same…you won’t have problems if you do.

    Hey Murilo,

If you’re looking for a good book, I’d check out XFactor’s Micro Niche Adsense Course, link in the sidebar..it’ll explain a lot of what I’m doing.

For finding good keywords, check my readme, I got a post on that.

As for the Google KW research tool, you gotta pick 1 tool and stick to it. No tool is going to give you 100% accurate info on the # of searches for keywords, so just pick one and become accustomed with it and the results you get from building sites off of their info. I’d use either the Google Keyword Tool or Micro Niche Finder..

Thanks Calfred, ya the posts have really accumulated :> After developing 100+ WordPress sites and 200+ HTML sites, I’ve found there to be no difference in how well each ranks, they both rank equally well…what matters though is finding an exact match domain for your target keyword.

Nice I’m guessing that was you, tnx :>

Hey thanks Ben :> If you’ve done your kw research right, use it on a bunch of your sites all at once to see some nice increases.

Thanks Dave, must have been a long read!

I never looked into that aff program before for some reason, but ya, I can put up a link on the side if you want :>

Hey Mike, I know you were using Backlink Solutions for link building a while back. Are you still using them? How much do you feel they have helped with your sites? Looks like it could be helpful in boosting inner pages as well, but wanted to get your thoughts…or anyone else who is a member there.

The competition for that keyword is way too stiff…it doesn’t matter what ranks in quotes, that doesn’t count for anything…with no quotes there is no sniper site on page 1 and for good reason..there’s a bunch of PR 4’s 3’s and 1 PR 5.

If you look in the past, you’ll see that when I did a run with Backlink Solutions, it boosted my income by around $20/day.

I’m going to be running it again when I get the time…and yes, it does work well on inner pages…one of my inner pages I tested BLS on wound up on page 1. I believe it is best used on sites that have a bit of age to them..I noticed the big changes happened to sites that were 2.5-3 months old.

Mike I Know you will be very interested in a thread made in the Xfactor Forum titled Alwiser Is Back esp. page 3 post#25.

    Care to Respond?

  16. April 21st, 2010 at 09:23 | #16

Yea-I am hoping in a couple of weeks for sure. You should have it up there since you are not doing an eBook or anything. This way you are earning something for giving out free information.

Honestly, I have learned more through blogs (like this) and forums than any course or ebook I have tried.

If you are going to buy the product-use Mike’s Affiliate links. 😉

Hi Mike, thanks for your replay! I read almost all the contents of your Read Me! Very useful and now I fell that I have a better picture about yhis business, I hope so. 😉

One more question, do you have any tips about how to improve the Adsense CTR? I mean what is better, block of links, graffics, both?

    Nice :>

I don’t bother with improving adsense CTR as it’s already quite high as it is with the black/green/yellow adsense theme.

Best thing is a large adsense block below the title and above the text, all text, no images.

CTR will also vary depending on the niche…I’ve seen some low CTR’s even with that good theme because the niche was not condusive to clicking.
