Day 346 – 30 Ezine Submissions + 1 New Domain

April 16th, 2010

Furious gets power leveled in real life … HAHA!

Today I found myself 1 new domain and I also got another 30 Ezine submissions done towards a bunch of my inner pages on my older sites…

Now that I’ve got those Ezine submissions out of the way, regardless of whether that helped much or not on these older sites which have already had Ezine backlinks in the past, I’m going to move onto doing some UAW submissions.

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $16.61
  • Adsense = $102.99
  • UAW renewal = $26.80 (tnx :>)
  • Total = $146.40

    Mike!

    I thought I already read it somewere, but couldn’t find it anymore. What do you do if you find a great keyword and there is already a microsite? What if it is ranked, and what if it isn’t?

    Thanks!

    @Tim

    In the past, I would skip the keyword so as not to compete with other people..

    however, I’ve had a change of heart..

    reason being is that things have gotten ridiculously competitive..ppl are jumping in on my kw’s all the time, so I just figured fuck it and started going after keywords regardless of whether there is someone else ranking there or not.

    If you find a good keyword and there is another micro niche site built for it but it is not ranking on page 1, that might be a red flag…it might not be as easy to rank for as you had thought..you’d have to analyze the site, see what kind of backlinks he has and try and figure out why he’s not on page 1 with his site…

    @Yiannis

    Ezine is fast, they accept articles in 1-2 days if you’re platinum, get to platinum.

    GoArticles don’t have the backlink power that Ezine Articles have..

    I have to second that – the change of heart deal. I find tons of sites on my kw’s now: and many others are coming up behind me on my present sites, empty WP blogs ranking high….

    Mike –

    I’ve been following your blog for a while, and want to say, in the words of Joey Lawrence, “Whoah!”

    Seriously great stuff here, you’re Killin’ it! One quesiton for ya:

    When do you determine when you’ll build up a successful site, and when to keep building more? Or: does that even matter so much?

    It seems like it doesn’t matter too much, but wondering how you make that decision. Thanks

    Hi Mike
    I understand that my image is too close to the adsense. I don;t understand why that is a problem. I’ll try to rearrange, but if I know why then I won’t make the same mistake all over again.

    Do you think the same success can be achieved with blogspot. I am using them. I dont have much of experience of maintaining tld and websites. and i dont have cc. can i use backlink software for blogspot.

    @All Is Well

    I tried creating snipers just using blogspot. It is a losing game period. You need an absolutely ridiculous amount of backlink work, relatively, to get them ranking. It also takes considerable time.

    If you still want to use the blogger platform your can aim a TLD at the blog which is pretty easy. This is what I am doing now, however it isn’t SEOd all that great-compared to wordpress, and you are really limited on theme.

    Well, another question, the last one I promise!

    Do you actually rank for your secondary keywords? I can get the main keyword ranked, but the secondary ones are a lot more difficult. If they would rank, the income would increase significantly..

    I was joking as well…

    Didn’t you see the 😉 ?

    LOL!!!

    But now that you have both, you may be able to sell them for a pretty penny…

    @Mansur William

    Hey thanks Will,

    What I’ve found is that it’s much easier to see boosts in income by just building a ton of new sites rather than focusing on building up just one…thus I’m mainly focused on pumping out more sites.

    If you put up about 50 sites, chances are you’ll find 3-5 that are earning a good chunk consistently though, those are some of the sites that you MAY want to try and build up further and see what happens.. I’m in the process of backlinking up a ton of my inner pages at the moment, so we’ll see what happens there…you won’t see much of an income change just by adding the extra pages, you need to backlink them as well.

    @All Is Well

    Hey, Josh answered your question well..I wouldn’t bother with Blogspot.

    @Tim

    Secondary/inner keywords don’t rank unless you do backlinking work on them…the reason the main domain ranks for it’s keyword easily is due to the domain being identical to the keyword.

    Sometimes you get inner pages ranking on page 1 with no direct backlinking to them, but this is rare and usually takes a long time as you have to wait for your main domain to gather backlinks and age.

    Best thing to do if you want inner pages to rank, backlink them up.

    @Josh
    Hi, josh
    I also think same. Blogspot needs lots of links and content. These days my faith on hubpages is increasing. Because of stable online earnings. Every hub of mine with little research gives atleast 10 visitor per day. As compared to the new blogspot which takes two three months to get regular visitors.
