Day 345 – KW Research + Registered 15 New Domains

April 15th, 2010

After seeing the success I’ve had with my last 30 domains that have not even really been backlinked, I decided to spend the day doing research..I was able to uncover 15 new domains.

Right now I really only have 1 content writer and 15 site’s for which content has been written for that I need to put up…I like having a stock of sites to put up as if you run into problems with ppl leaving or not finishing articles on time, you always have something to work on.

Aside from those 15, now with the newly registered domains + the domains I registered before but didn’t get content for yet, I’ve got another 26 sites to outsource writing for and then develop.  Once this is all done I’ll be at 247 adsense sites O_o.

All but 1 of my Ezines have been accepted again today, can’t say if these have helped much, but after submitting another batch of 30, I’ll be starting up with the UAW.

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $51.89 – 1 CB sniper sale + 1 authority site sale
  • Adsense = $121.26
  • Total = $173.15

    Nearly 250 snipers? Impressive work, and pleased that your $ is on the up from them. I am seeing some traffic and rankings for sites with zero backlink work; trying to build quality sites that will develop organic backlinks naturally – much easier than churning through UAW and article sites, but probably not as profitable in the long run.

    Are you outsourcing any social bookmarking, or are you just pinging sites?

    @Kenneth

    Ya, more like 200 now but it will be there..

    This site right here is an example of a site that has had 0 backlink work on my part yet has obtained backlinks..It right now has a PR of 1 and 186 backlinks, the backlinks to this site have been as high as 300-500 in the past..

    If you’re looking to develop an income online though, you need to actively backlink your sites. This is a business and it requires work. Most people are unwilling to put in sufficient amounts of work and thus see little or no results.

    I would suggest modeling people who are successful…

    Once you get your system down you can also look into outsourcing all the menial labor.

    I don’t outsource bookmarking, I use Bookmarking Demon which is an automated tool…Bookmarking/RSS feed submission and Digging all takes but 5 min of my time for each site.

    Hello,

    I am looking for a half decent adsense template for my sites. Right now I am using a basic one from Xsite pro. Does anyone know where I can download or buy a nice high CTR template?

    Did anyone see this..he sold his 50 .org adsense sites for 30k.

    http://flippa.com/auctions/90659/Adsense-Money-Making-Established-Portfolio-of-50-Content-Websites-Earn-2000Mo

    I like his template too.

  4. April 15th, 2010 at 12:28 | #4

    @matt mcsweeney
    i wouldn’t use his theme: it violates Goog’s ToS. Yeah, nevermind he sold the lot for a nice price. $30k ain’t bad…

    i’m using clickbump’s/xfactor’s templates. they’ve done amazing, but if you use the principles in the Master’s Adsense course (top right of this blog) then you can use any theme, just about…

    but just be careful about checking out someone’s theme and accepting it open-handed: building a blog network on sites that are in violation of G’s ToS is cruising for some de-indexing smack-downs…

    If you have XSite Pro, just use it to make one of your own, that’s what I did…it’s not that hard to make the basic green/black template on your own, you can even change the colors around if you want to.

  6. April 15th, 2010 at 13:46 | #6

    Mike –

    Just out of curiosity (I will buy XSite Pro2 this or next month – so long as I don’t have to replace another vehicle/computer/child…er…nevermind the child bit), did you have to validate the html code for your sites for indexing/etc?

    I know the G loves WP, but the code’s pre-validated, etc. Did you have to do any of that with the html sites on XSite?

    @JamestheJust on Elance

    Hey James, not sure what you mean by validate, you don’t have to do any fiddling with any HTML code. You just enter in the basic info, title, description, keywords.., change the header/footer(in a WYSIWYG interface), paste in the pages, enter in the FTP info and click publish.

    BTW, FYI regarding Google love, I’ve seen no difference between Google ranking my WP sites vs my HTML sites.

  8. April 15th, 2010 at 15:10 | #8

    Awesome!!! That’s good planning to keep working on other projects in case your article writers are behind.

    Do all you guys use Bookmarking Demon? Is it the bookmarking tool of choice? I’m looking to automate the process instead of submitting by hand to about 10 sites.

    @Mikeman

    I’ve been reading over your old pages.

    I feel a lot better about my progress now that I know your ‘day 1’ was actually day 129-which is quite a coincidence because that is the day I am on today on my blog(of course, its just an estimate).

    Anyways, how are your hubpages and infobarrels doing after aging a couple hundred days? I can’t find a mention of these again after day 108.

    Also, I’m willing to bet you intended to delete this page–mikeiser.com/test

    According to my SEO quake I think it is called-you have 760 back links!

    Mike, I read the first part of your updates in these two days (got to 65) but now before reading further I wanted to ask you some questions so that I could start taking action:

    1. What adsense template do you use? Xfactors? or maybe wordpress with something like this? http://besteuropeancruises.com/

    2. Do you go after products like Xfactor suggests or after certain niches like “weight loss” and “morgate”? The other way to ask this is do you have to do websites based on amazon products for them to be successful? (rank on page 1 without too much linkbuilding)

    3. Also, http://dickiesbag.org/ – on this one, is that what the adsense template should look like? or are there variations?

    Jorik.

  14. April 15th, 2010 at 21:09 | #14

    @Mikeman
    It’s a silly question, re: validating your html, but more info can be found on it here:

    http://www.thesitewizard.com/webdesign/htmlvalidation.shtml

    The WS3 Consortium – the white-wig-wearing sheriff’s of html regulations and errors – like 3rd-party validation of your html in order to make sure it complies with their standards.

    I just wasn’t sure if that was necessary, you’ve answered it nicely.

    I’m telling you, man, the XSite Pro2…makes me drool more than my wife’s rump roast.

    She makes a mean rump roast…

    @Josh

    Ya..my hubpages earn about $50-70/month, infobarrels don’t seem to be doing well at all, like $5/month.

    And ya, I knew that page existed :>

    @Kelly

    Ya, I guess I miscounted or something, I checked again with Yahoo backlinks and it’s at 813…

    @Mark

    thanks Mark, ya, you gotta do that as it’s hard to find ppl who submit on time, all the time.

    @Terry

    BMD gets the job done..there isn’t really another one out there that can compete with it at the moment.

  17. April 15th, 2010 at 21:39 | #17

    Mike, I think my comment got lost in your spam filters, can you check it? 🙂

    @Jorik

    Hey, ya, sorry about that, it usually gets stuck in pending if it’s your first time posting… I check that daily now.

    1. For the adsense template, I use the basic one talked about in the XFactor course..the black/green one.

    2. I go after product niches, not niches like mortage/weightloss.. it’s not easy to rank for such keywords, it is very easy however to rank for product keywords(if you do your research right of course)..

    3. Looks like someone took me up on my example keyword and is now ranking on page 1 :>

    That template is a variation.

  19. April 15th, 2010 at 22:44 | #19

    Thanks for your answers, it’s clear now what I should be doing.

    I’ll blast 20 adsense sites and report back after finishing Xfactor’s book.

    Hey Mike, Normally, how long take google to index your new site? My new site is over 3 days still not index. but i already build a ton of backlinks.
    Really good revenues !!!
    Keep working on. thanks share your works

  21. Mikeman
    April 16th, 2010 at 07:52 | #21

    @Yiannis

    It should happen within 5-6 days…don’t waste your time checking to see when it happens, just Bookmark it, RSS feed submit it, submit a link to Digg, then move onto the next site..If you do all that, it will wind up indexed, there will be no need to track when it happens, just start building more sites.

  22. April 16th, 2010 at 10:22 | #22

    Hi Mike

    Yeah, Jorik found my site for dickies bag which I took you up on. It ranks on pg 1, No 2 for a while now. I also have .org and it’s on pg 2. I have .net too, but have been a bit reluctant to upload it since I don’t want Dickies after me for hogging the 1st page. I don’t want to mess with success. I also haven’t promoted .org in an attempt to gain page 1 ‘cuz I don’t want to stir things up too much. Any thoughts?

    The format is not from a program. I have an old WYSIWYG program and from reading all the information and the adsense sniper book, I just made it up from html. Do you approve?

    I’m now starting to make a few bucks thanks to you and actually believe there is an income to be made online.

    I need some work on my keyword selection. I’m hoping it gets better after some more experience.

    Thanks, Mike

    Bill

    Hey Mike, what do you mean by “product niches”?

    Would an acne cream product consider a product niche?

    ex: Neutrogena Acne Cream

    @Mikeman
    i am working on others sites now. thanks for mention, is it ok to build too much links in one day. i mean i already build over 100 backlinks in 2 days.

  25. Mikeman
    April 16th, 2010 at 11:35 | #25

    @Bill

    Oh nice Bill..

    Well, when I got into trouble with a company, I wasn’t even ranking on page 1 for my keyword!

    Regarding your layout…I’d have the image/s at the top, followed by a title, followed by the adsense ad. I’d feel uneasy having an image that close to my adsense code.

    After building up about 30 different sites you’ll have a good grasp on kw research..don’t buy all the domains in a bunch though, buy a few at a time so you can learn and select better ones as you go along…

    @DC

    Hey DC, product niches = brown piano stool, wooden dresser, stainless steel coffee pot etc…

    Neutrogena Acne Cream is also one, however it is a brand name one…

  26. Mikeman
    April 16th, 2010 at 11:42 | #26

    @Yiannis

    Well, the problem with backlinking arises from building a bunch of links and suddenly those links stopping…Google sees this as suspicious.

    When I’ve done backlinks at 50/day with UAW for 30 days only to have it suddenly drop down to 0/day, my site disappeared…

    Sometimes they come back in 1 week to where they were, other times they don’t regain rankings.

    So if you’re going to build backlinks for a new site, I’d use a program that lets you get them at a fixed rate, like UAW and set it to something like 15/day.

  27. Yiannis
    April 16th, 2010 at 12:27 | #27

    Thanks,I gonna slow down, build another sites.15/day is easy to do for 10 sites. but you got over hundred sites, how to manage them? Excel ?

  28. Mikeman
    April 17th, 2010 at 11:20 | #28

    @Yiannis

    Depends on what you mean by manage..

    I am able to edit and look through all my sites within XSite Pro, that is what I used to build the sites and it is also a management program as well.

    As far as checking rankings, I would use Market Samurai, although I have fallen behind in inputting my sites into that for checking rankings.
