Day 334 – Outsourced 15 More UAW Articles

April 4th, 2010

The articles for the 30 UAW submissions are now being worked on by the writers at Human Re-Writer and as soon as I get a hold of them, I’ll start doing the UAW submissions…

I’m interested to see how these will affect my income as I will be building backlinks to many inner pages here rather than just the main domains..

In addition to this, I’m going to have to outsource UAW submissions for adsense snipers #174-199, 26 sites which will translate to another 13 submissions… Once this is all done, I may also look into doing another run of Backlink Solutions which has worked well for me in the past.

As I’ve mentioned before, I’m always looking for new ways of getting additional backlinks overtop of my UAW runs.. A friend of mine has been using Linkvana which is quite a popular choice, however quite pricey at I believe around $150/month.  It may be worth a try at some point though if I go all out with it for 1 month to judge it’s effectiveness…

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $98.29 – 5 CB Sniper sales
  • Adsense = $93.93 (Possibly lower due to holidays)
  • 1 UAW sale/renewal = $26.80 (tnx :>)
  • Total = $219.02

    Nice Mike. I’m in the process of getting my sites up and running very soon – appreciate all your info as always.

    Can I quickly clarify – when you look for 2400+ exact searches for your keywords, is that global or local?

    I almost made a massive error with keyword research because I was checking Google from my UK IP address here and when I tried with a USA IP there was TONS more competition meaning that I very nearly wasted a lot of money on domains that weren’t at all suitable.

    @Adam

    NP Adam…I go by exact global.

    Mikeman,
    the other day i mentioned if a keyword gets higher searches per month if it was harder to rank for. i know its an odd concern but legitimate. ive just confirmed that it doesnt matter. ive just ranked well for a keyword that gets 18k exact searches a month. ill know in a day or so if anything higher than that will affect rankings or not, ill also know if targeting brand names is harder to rank or not. *just updating* for those wondering the same thing.

    Mikeman,
    ive also been trying to get specifics on linkvana, weve been emailing back and forth and what they told me was, they only post to ONE blog at a time per post you submit. so instead of just making one post and submitting it to them and them posting it to several of their blogs they only post to one at a time, then you have to make another post for them to post to another single blog. they explained to me that this is what makes linkvana so powerful, but it seems like ALOT of work to submit lets say 30 different posts (or re-writes) to get 30 backlinks for example. this is coming directly from linkvana support, but if a friend of yours is experiencing something different, can you let us know?

    @Kasey Langton
    **curse removed…if I can get a free XSite Pro 2…**

    THis was supposed to be the month I got the XSite Pro2…instead I got a couple of Trojan viruses, need a new computer, and bought a new-to-me Ford Taurus for $2k, a 2002, and it runs like a champ…

    but in all honesty, my CTR has tanked since Friday. I think it’s going up come monday…

    I *so* look forward to “only” $95/a day. Lovely thought! Super excited to see how these inner page UAW runs work out, too – I did that for one of my sites because I have a major aff product I’m pushing, and it made no sense to put it on the main page. It’s driven that page up through the roof – it outranks my main page, and I’ve made almost $1k off that aff link this month.

    Would like to see how Linkvana works out – not sure my sites could make it, they have a “no vanilla html sites” policy, I thought – sort of sounds like my sites…anxious to hear the report.

    I guess some lessons you need to learn on your own from first hand experience.

    I guess i missed that or didnt understand it at the time. would be nice if they had a built in spinner OR had a 3 different article option like UAW.

    April 4th, 2010 at 17:48 | #10

    Mike,

    I know you submit at the rate of 15/day with UAW. Have you tried to increase this number? The recommended is 50/day (from uaw). You think that would be too much too fast?

  11. April 4th, 2010 at 17:53 | #11

    @Tony
    I won’t speak for Mike, but honestly I did that – the 50 a day – and got slapped off the index!

    April 4th, 2010 at 18:17 | #13

    @Tony

    Ya, I’ve experimented with that before, same thing that happened to James happened to me..

    Your site is building up 50 backlinks a day for 2 weeks, then all of a sudden, no backlinks…looks suspicious to Google..

    Literally the day after the run, my site plummeted, nowhere to be found…thankfully it came back up a week later, however not all sites recover, some of my other sites didn’t regain page 1 rankings, although they did climb back up to page 2/3.

    April 4th, 2010 at 18:31 | #14

    @Tony

    I agree with Mike. I only got UAW a week ago and using it set to 50 hasn’t helped any of my sites. The sites set to 20 are doing much better.

    Mikeman,
    how long does it usually take (on average) to run out of UAW backlinks being posted once an article is submitted.

  16. April 4th, 2010 at 19:56 | #16

    20 years. sometimes, you’ll see Haley’s Comet twice, and then have to do another run.

    got slapped from the index or SERPS? a SERP slap is recoverable but being de-indexed is pretty bad…

  20. April 4th, 2010 at 21:16 | #20

    @Kasey Langton
    darn Kasey. you would quiz me…let’s say I couldn’t find myself. I was on page 8 before the run, on G. On B and Y, pretty high, around page 1-2 on each…but after the run…? Nowhere. No SE had me that I knew about, although you could type my URL in and find me directly.

    So, def got slapped off the SERP’s. de-indexed…sorry, i thought that was the same thing.

    **Facepalm**

    @TJPann
    Mike mentions that in the “readme” but I personally use RSS Submit and SocialBot, in addition to other programs that do the same thing. Incansoft’s stuff work out well for me, definitely.

    April 4th, 2010 at 22:04 | #22

    Hey Mike and *Everyone*,
    My main problem right now is trying to decide on a stupid theme. I know that the XFactor people use butt ugly themes, so that when unique visits come they click away-right away-on an ad!

    Does everyone else use the BU theme? I set up my first sniper, but the only theme I used was the super adsense theme w/ my own header. I do not want to spend a lot until I make some! I guess I need to create my own BU theme!

    BTW-For those that have been thinking about trying SEnuke, they are doing a 7-day free trial.

  23. April 4th, 2010 at 23:48 | #23

    @Kelly
    BU theme. lol

    yep. it’s working.

    BUT I do want the XSite Pro2 for building other, less BU themes…have you seen the flexibility theme for WP? it’s free – and you can customize it somewhat. If you buy the flexsqueeze with it, you can get other banners/etc.

  24. April 4th, 2010 at 23:52 | #24

    @ MikeMan and anyone –

    I have a funny feeling this is from Scrapebox or something similar, I have an EMPTY blog that I’ve yet to build, I put it up about a month ago, and then it’s now on page 1, position 4 of the big G, which is hillarious because there’s other blogs with my exact kw with the .org/.com…with content…that just kills me.

    anyway, here’s the comments I received (two, just the same)

    “Generally I do not post on blogs, but I would like to say that this post really forced me to do so! really nice post.”

    I couldn’t figure it out…and then I remembered that there’s tools out there that actually let you comment on auto-pilot…it just struck me as funny.

    alright. getting back to work…

    I registered-Just waiting for the e-mail-thx for the tip. I figured I would try out like 10 different themes on 10 diff. sites until I found one that worked-that I can mess w/

  31. April 5th, 2010 at 12:13 | #31

    @Kelly
    YW

    I know of at least one person who’s making sales with that theme – and I want to use it especially for physical affiliate products. I’m the type of guy who wants a pre-made theme I can tweak…I hope it performs well for you. I’ll be joining you in that venture soon.

    I keep running across “Thematic” I think it’s called…but $167 and then you have to code the PHP/CSS I believe…not what I’m after.

    @Kasey Langton
    dude. did you just say, “excerpted”? impressive! 😛

    April 5th, 2010 at 13:18 | #32

    @JamestheJust on Elance
    ha, yeah i try sometimes, lol…oh and have you used flexsqueeze theme? still not sure if its different from flexibility theme, which is highly customizable. and empty blogs can pierce the SE’s rather nicely.

  33. April 5th, 2010 at 13:33 | #33

    @Kasey Langton
    No, I haven’t yet bought the flexsqueeze myself, but I was planning on either that or the XSite Pro2, and I’m leaning on the XSite Pro2 just for the sake of its features.

    Then again, I have a web designer friend who works for Bank of America, he does some of their web design, and he wants to trade web design for writing content and marketing his sites. I just don’t have time to add one more obligation, otherwise I’d do it…barter, man!

    He’s amazing with PERL script – the guy’s old school, and amazing. Once I quit the day job – which is not going to be simple, it’s a family business – I’m there in a JV with this guy.

    Otherwise, I agree – I have an empty blog that’s taken spot #4 in G, I totally forgot I bought the domain…

    Mikeman,
    how long does it usually take (on average) to run out of UAW backlinks being posted once an article is submitted.

    Well, I usually submit to 600-800 directories at 15/day, so 40-53 days..

    @TJPann

    Ya, I use RSS Bot…this is actually answered in the faq in the post where I describe in depth my process.

    @Kelly

    I just made the old green/black theme in XSite Pro and use that..there are those who are worried about having their site look the same as all the others and work to change it around a bit though..

    But ya, you need a theme that has unattractive colors so that the user’s attention is drawn to the ads…picking the right theme can make a HUGE difference in your income…I would choose a theme similar to the black/green one to start with so that you can get an idea of the kind of CTR that generates, then you can venture out into other themes..

    If you don’t do this, you’ll probably be getting something like a 7-20% CTR and think it’s good, but not realize how much better it could be.

    lmao…i would say BF = BlueFart methods, but geezus thats sounds even worse. shouldnt you be making another site? lol!

  42. April 6th, 2010 at 21:25 | #42

    @Kasey Langton
    a little “delete” here and there, and the blockquote html, and voila: you just swung a bat for another team. sorry, that was plain juvenile…(because i’m usually so mature)

    OK, here’s a question, what is “BlueFart”? I went to the WF the other day and someone else mentioned that…I picture Homer Simpson guzzling a Duff’s beer, or whatever he drinks, and letting his methane loose…

    somehow I suspect you mean another thing entirely. what’s BlueFart methodology?

  43. Kasey Langton
    April 6th, 2010 at 21:42 | #43

    @JamestheJust on Elance
    dash it with the editing, lol…BlueFart from what i know is basically grey hat? its not quite Bl*ckhat but some “white-hatters” may question the techniques involved. kinda like artificial backlinking i believe may be a good example. Im sure when Mikeman shows up he can explain it better.

  44. April 6th, 2010 at 21:45 | #44

    @Kasey Langton
    ah, i see.

    i just checked it on WF – some say the mod’s there change the term black h@t to bluefart automatically, no doubt so they don’t turn up in the SERP’s for bla#k h@t…

    Others seem to think it’s the questionable seo tactics, as you suggest.

    alright, apparently mike’s the only one working. i’m out. ciao!
