Day 332 – Adsense Sniper #199 + Domain Renewal

April 2nd, 2010

Put up another adsense sniper and also renewed 25 domains that were about to expire…cost me around $245 including the privacy protection for them all…

So far out of the domains expiring, I’ve renewed almost all of them, I’ve only let a handful expire…under 5.  As long as the site has made at least one sale for the year, I keep it…considering the lowest commission the site can get is $20, worst case scenario the site is making twice it’s yearly fee (most have made more than that).

I’m going to want to start some backlinking soon in the beginning of the month so that I can realize another boost in income by the end of this current month…

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $26.38
  • Adsense = $96.95 (A $90 day James O_O)
  • UAW sale/renewal = $26.80(tnx :>)
  • Total = $150.13

    i know…”awww,Mike *only* made $150…” when you’re operating at that level of success, you’re all good.

    I wish my minimum day was that high! Mike: to your success, man. tomorrow’s $150 from Adsense…

    10 to 1…

    I bet all my Peeps yellow chicks – the marshmallow, stale yellow little things that were manufactured originally as insulation for some secret Area 51 project, repackaged and sweetened, sold to fund who knows what…Obama’s pimped crib? not sure…

    Hi Mike I came across this great resource Mike. This lady has some great backlinking strategies. They aer not automated but its powerful. You can access her mindmap without even getting on the list. May have already heard of her from the wf.

    http://www.inlineseo.com/ I am planning to implement ALL of her strategies on the authority site I just started building and on some of the sniper sites I plan to build out. Anyone that is really serious about mastering SEO should at least watch her free videos even if you dont sign up for the course… actually her free material gives such a great overview of her strategies you can really implement from that if you are a self started (which I am… 🙂 )

    But I want to invest in her paid course as well.

    Cheers all, hope this helps someone

    Mikeman,
    I have a “watch movies” site that was getting 10k uniques a month, remember? then i got b$%#^% slapped outta me by the Big G because I added a CB product (i think it was linking to a bad neighborhood). so it went from bottom of page 1 all the way to page 5 and sat there and didnt move, even after taking off the CB and pinging the crap out of it…well its finally back on page 1 even stronger and getting about 800 uniques a day. The site alone made $15 in adsense yesterday. so if its stays where its at it will get aboue 24k uniques this month (projected)…Im wondering if i should try and sell this off next month when i can get a screenshot for this month or just keep it in inventory. with $10-20 a day in adsense and over 20k uniques a month, IM sure I can get a nice shiny penny for it. but then again my goal is a dollar a day per site and this site holds the weight of at least 10 sites.

    Thanks Dee for the info.

    Hi Kasey. I checked on your keyword ‘watch movies’ for the heck of it. Google says 11m US and 20m worldwide. Not easy to get on pg 1 or even close. What page are you on for that kind of traffic?

    I was thinking maybe I should try for higher traffic words and just try harder to get up the list?
    I’ve been going for the lower traffic count and less competitive words in order to get a good listing. Maybe this isn’t the greatest idea.
    You must have some opinion on this.

    Mike, what is your experience?

    Thanks you guys… It all helps when we can get some feedback on this stuff.

    Sorry, I read Kasey’s comment again and he says he’s on page one.
    I am thinking maybe the answer is… work on both

    Then when you get real winner that finally hits it big like Kasey’s, you enjoy the fruits of your labor.

    Comments?

    Thanks, Bill

    @Bill
    actually its watch movies with an added word that gets bucks loads of searches that im on page 1 for…but i usually go for keywords as long as I can get it in a .net or .org form than to be honest i really dont check the competition. as it will vary. ive gotten on page 1 for 12M+ competition with quotes and at times couldnt get past page 3 for something with only 30K comp in quotes. but after doing this for awhile i wouldnt go for anything less than 3k searches a month in exact match on go0gle kw tool. as you have a higher chance ending up with a dud.going for lower traffic count with less competition is what the sniper method is all about. i would stick with higher searched keywords though and also make sure the exact keyword as available as a domain without adding anything extra.

    How’s your adsense income been for today?
    Mine’s been really low, I wonder if it is because of the holidays?

  9. April 2nd, 2010 at 19:12 | #9

    @Kasey
    Thanks, Kasey.
    I guess you often never know what you get until you try it. I had one keyword I didn’t even promote and it came up #1. Then some I promoted ’til blue in the face and yet couldn’t even find them.

    BTW… don’t sell. Remember Warren Buffett’s old adage for his business: “Buy Low and Never Sell”

    Good Luck,
    Bill

    nice – never heard that quote, I like it! makes sense. I’ve been telling Langton to keep that sucker, too. I think he has a goldmine…

    @Dee

    Lisa Parmely! Yes, I have her on my “want to get her material asap” list, as I want to do both adsense and aff/authority sites, but can’t get off the Elance/adsense/full time job deal – glad to see someone else agrees, inlineseo isn’t a name that gets bandied about. I like her approach.

    If you go to developer-hut dot com, a lot of what they do is similar to what Lisa has: the satellite system, pinging your satellite of blogs and 2.0 properties….same with “the thirty day challenge” people, if you check them out they suggest many of the same idea.

    BUT I personally want to do the Adsense thing until Mike’s numbers are chump change to me. (no offense mike, you just gave me something to shoot for) Then I’ll dive in to the inlineseo stuff…

    @Heimir
    while my FTP client loads, I wanted to say that my CTR has tanked today – prob will be that way this weekend, it’s Easter holiday – lots of churchgoers for Good Friday, etc.

    @JamestheJust on Elance

    Yup, looks like it was back to normal the next day.. and I’m planning on sticking to adsense until I’m at 10-15k/month, that’s a lot of chump change :>

    @Dee

    Thanks for sharing Dee

    Ya damn…I personally wouldn’t ever sell a site like that…why get rid of a passive income stream for quick money? I’d just keep building more sites and building up my passive income.

    @Heimir

    I don’t think I’m seeing any adverse effects from the holidays thus far.. I wouldn’t be surprised if it did dip though because of it as it did before during Christmas/New Years.

    One word…OK, maybe two:

    1) Diversity
    2) Empire

    Your Empire of sites is so big, your keywords so diverse, that you don’t see the dip. My guess.

    AND YEP! Keep pushing it, Mike – $10-15k a month is a lot to beat. Even if I wind up only matching you…mwahahahahaaaaa! See me, in your rearview mirror, Mike? Ok…maybe you can’t yet, you’re so far ahead and around the next mile…but wait…
