Day 318 – 4 UAW Submissions + Messed Up Hop Reporting

March 19th, 2010

OK, I’m through with the 20 UAW submissions now…So now I either got to look into backlinking up some inner pages, or pop out another 13 sites so I can do another UAW run backlinking sites #174 – #203 (I’ve only got 190 up so far).

I’ve still got a good chunk of new sites already written up by my outsourcers that I have yet to put up..mainly because they were written by one of my outsourcers who I have to make corrections on every article for and with that being annoying/time consuming and all, I haven’t put those up.

She’s not working for me anymore and from here on out, I don’t plan on hiring people whose work will need re-writing if I can help it.

At the moment I have 1 writer who is writing off and on, another who is undergoing surgery but will be back, and a 3rd who said she was back, but has not been available the last few days..I don’t mind the situation though as I have articles in reserve and I’m more focused on backlinking right now.

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $94.81 – 2 CB sniper sales + 1 sale for authority site #1
  • Hops = 77 (BTW, I have realized hops are totally retarded…when I record the # of hops for the day, and check on it the following day, I’ve noticed that the # of hops GOES UP from what I recorded… here’s what I’m talking about:

14th recorded hops = 141 …today it’s showing up as 222
15th recorded hops = 151 … today it’s showing up as 229
16th recorded hops =128 …today it’s showing up as 238
17th recorded hops = 128 … today it’s showing up as 226

Makes me wonder if there’s any point to me posting the hops for the end of day if Clickbank is just going to increase them the following day to some other number.Β  I really don’t know what that is all about…but anyway, to find out what my hops are really like lately, have a look at this graph:

I took this early on the 19th, hence the 0 hops there…but look at the 18th, that is sitting at 77..I can guarantee you that tomorrow that will be a different value, something higher…

  • Adsense = $125.87
  • Total = $220.68 (another day over $200)

    CB doesnt report in real time, they are a few hours behind, somtimes more. so if your reporting hops exactly at closing time for the day then they wont report for a few hours later. for example, im in central time so the day ends for me at 2am but i know i wont get updated numbers from CB until around 4 or 5am. but then again they could be screwy for some reason

    and yeah, good move on firing that writer…whats the point of outsourcing if you have to spend your time re-writing. makes no sense

    @Kasey Langton

    Ya…I always report after 3 AM EST which is when it resets as Clickbank and Adsense are on PST(3 hours behind).

    It is delayed a lot more than a few hours though..

    I just tested it today…it took about 9 hours… it was stuck at 77 at 3am EST, 9 hours later it is now at 146 :/

    Thanks Kay.

    BTW, Does everyone still want me reporting on hops despite this?

    eh, no sense in reporting if its not going to be accurate right away, its just extra work for you to go back and report the real # of hops later on, i think more ppl here are interested in what adsense does versus CB as thats what your continuing your business platform on.

    Yeah, apparently Clickbank’s analytics have been off since the 11th. It’s really annoying me too (and I only run like 30 hops to various sites, lol)

    I agree with Kasey. Most of us are interested in what you are doing with Adsense and its pointless to post hops if they aren’t accurate or cause you unnecessary work.

    What do you think you’d do with your CB sites? Sell ’em off?

  9. March 19th, 2010 at 23:09 | #9

    I agree. I don’t even have an interest in clickbank products. I more interested in adsense and physical products

    im starting to see this as being the way to go. although CB does have great conversion on software type products and “lookup” products but as far as $27 ebooks seems like those days are going away and people are either clicking on ads on physical product type sites or buying physical products online…

    Alright thanks guys, I guess I’ll cut that out..

    Making sales via CB is still as viable as it ever was, just that due to the popularity of CPA and even Adsense (who would have known), people are gravitating more towards those revenue streams these days.

    you do pretty decent with CB though so i gotta hand it to you for that. i finally finished converting my cb snipers to adsense. i had to stop converting as i was focusing on getting the amzon started. so well see how this conversion goes. if it doesnt do well then ill just list my sites on flippa and get rid of them as someone else can do better monetizing im sure because about 50% of them are on page 1 and they get a nice flow of traffic…

    wondering where J the J is…aka “baby making machine” im certain he would have had something witty posted by now…lol

    ok im baffled how a 200% CTR for adsense is even possible…even if someone clicks on an Ad and hits the back button and clicks on another Ad…by hitting the back button wouldnt that cause another impression? or is that not the case?

    Kasey –

    I believe you answered your own question. By the way, it’s interesting how the “not productive” clickbank sites still net you…what…$1500? something like that? a month.

    I wish I was that “unproductive.” πŸ™‚

    @Kasey Langton

    I suppose it doesn’t and it’s the result of someone clicking on each ad. It happens …

    @Jim on Some Freelance Site

    Why would I sell my CB sites? They generate 1-1.5k/month passively…
