Day 315 – 4 More UAW Submissions + New High
March 16th, 2010
I didn’t get around to doing as many UAW submissions as I wanted today as it seems my credit card has been compromised…
Actually, someone logged into my iTunes account with my e-mail/pass and charged some music to my account/credit card. Something tells me that this is all related..to this website.
So I had to spend a whole chunk of time searching for spyware/virii removal programs again, make sure I totally get rid of whatever may be on my computer…Also have to look into getting a new credit card.
On a positive note, today was the highest money making day thus far!
Earnings For Today:
- CB = $115.95 – 2 CB sniper sales + BMD sale (thanks :>)
- Hops = 151
- UAW Sale = $26.80 (thanks :>)
- Adsense = $144.62
- Total = $287.37

Mikeman,
Whoa, most def makes up for the few lower average days you had, very nice!
BMD is AWESOME! =]
@DC
Yes – just make sure you verify all the accounts as you create them in the social bookmarking sites…I have this neighbor – whew! Long story…
@ MikeMan:
Nice! And sorry to hear about the CC – that’s happened a couple of times to us, some nefarious doppleganger charging $500 at a video game store. Bank caught it.
James, DC or Mike- How is BMD different than Social Bot? Social Bot has like 1200 sites that you can submit your bookmark. I already have SB so was curious as to why BMD may or may not be a better choice.
thank you
Wow!!
Congrats on the new HIGH
That must feel good…
Why do you think the cc issue is related to this site? My card got compromised last year as well… Not only did I gamble online, I traveled to Romania as well
Evita
Fantastic Mike!
You will soon hit $300/day on average. That should make you relax a bit.
Good Work.
All hackers should be lined up and shot.
I had my identity stolen before and it isn’t pretty. The only way you can be sure to get the viruses off your computer is to do a total reformat and reload of the operating system.
What they probably have is what is called a key logger software that records all your keystrokes and sends the info to them. Using one of those programs they get all your passwords, credit card info, basically everything you type in.
The best way to stop them is use the built in on screen keyboard that comes with windows and never type anything passwords or personal info in with your keyboard.
You can find the on screen keyboard at
start->all programs->accessories->accessibility->on-screen keyboard
Hope this helps some.
My CC was compromised a few months ago and a friend of mine just had more than one card hacked. Scary!
Hope you get it all fixed soon. That is such a pain.
Mike,
First of all congratulations on your new high. It’s a shame you’ve been suffering from these attacks lately but I think you might be making things worse. Don’t download any virii removal tools just get a good reputable anti virus (or a couple) and stick with them.
If I were you I would also spend a couple of hours backing up your work and doing a full hard drive format. And start fresh. change ALL passwords you use. Make all passwords unique (I know it’s a hassle to manage them but I use an application on my iphone that stores all my passwords encrypted for me). Make sure your passwords are hard do guess (As in they don’t make any sense “even to you”), and you’d be fine.
@Me
that’s what charge backs are for
Hehe oh well
I also have used SocialBot and it was a pain to setup account on all the SB sites…SocialBot is only semi-automated. BMD pretty well automated with SB account creation, I just played around with it the other day with my first AS and the submission rate was at least 75%, which is pretty good but I was manually entering the captcha. I just registered with decaptcha.com so I don’t have to manually enter captcha anymore, I’ll see if the success rate of submission drops or not.
There’s a lot of very excellent features in BMD, it has a built in pinger to ping your SB profile page and/or your own site, BMD allows you to create multiple accounts on different SB (all automated even confirms the registering emails), it also has a RSS camouflage system which submits misc feed (ex:yahoo buzz RSS feed or any other feed you wish) to mix up your submission so your SB profile account won’t just have submission from only your sites.
It’s great trust me…well worth the money!
@Kasey Langton
Tnx Kasey..UAW articles will go live starting today, will be interesting to see how that plays out..
@DC
:>
@JamestheJust on Elance
hmm, damn.
@gary
Gary, looks like DC gave you a nice response..I have both Social Bot and BMD and I agree with what DC said.
@Me
Damn, that must not have been a good day.
I say it’s related to this site because it’s not my CC that was uncovered per say, but rather my iTunes account. Someone knew my e-mail and uncovered my iTunes password. With that, they were able to automatically bill downloads to the attached credit card.
This is all coinciding with my websites getting hacked which means the same joker is probably responsible.
@Bill
Ya, 100k+/year would definitely clinch it!
@Terry
Hmm, ya..I’ve heard of that keyboard…what a pain in the ass. Thanks for the info.
@Carrie
It was a HUGE pain in the ass. I talked to iTunes support who eventually told me they can’t do anything unless they hear from my banking institution..so I called TD Visa, who did a 3 way with me and them…
They were telling me there is no way to link it to fraudulent activity or some shit, which made me go off on the guy…he wasn’t even in the fraud department…anyway, it’s been escalated to that and they’re going to look into it the next 2-3 weeks and verify that it was fraud.
Then after that, I had to go and tell my gym, insurance company, phone/Internet/TV company/Hostgator/Paypal that my credit card has changed…
After I did that with Paypal, a bunch of my subscriptions were auto cancelled, including UAW, so I had to send an e-mail to get that back up.
Ya, pretty big mess.
@Danny
I got some program called Trojan Hunter 5.0 and ESET NOD 32….I also ran Spybot Search and Destroy, TrendMicro’s Housecall and Adaware..
Backing everything up would take days..not hours..I have 3 harddrives, 97.6gb, 298gb, 368gb…I also have several hundred passwords, it would knock me out of commission for quite a while…oh well, I’ll play it by ear.
@
That settles that. You DON’T know how to do things 1/2 @$$…
@JamestheJust on Elance
haha! I guess not..
@JamestheJust on Elance
Hey James, what do you mean by verify? Like actually going to each SB site and see if an account was made?
Don’t the auto-email confirmation in BMD do that for you?
*I’m still a newb with BMD
Be sure to run MalwareBytes too to remove any trace elements left by the infection.
@Mikeman
Mike then I guess You need to get to it, if you don’t have your stuff backed up you’re bound to head into trouble sooner or later.
STOP WORKING FOR A WEEK IF YOU HAVE TO BUT BACK UP YOUR STUFF AS IT WILL COST YOU WAY MORE THAN THAT!!! TRUST ME!!!
Hit me up with an email and I’ll send over some tips/tricks on how to setup your environment so you don’t have to backup anything ever again.
@DC
I’m running v.5.2 or something – the latest download is 5.4 so maybe it’s different, but “my neighbor” – who happens to occupy my very same body, miraculously, maybe an alternate personality? – was using BMD and didn’t veryify the emails thru the “download email” function on the BMD “desktop” or whatever you call it, after the first go-round.
Didn’t realize it until later, but that’s why you set up your gmail accounts with “allow POP3″ servers for ALL mail (per the video)…so that BMD can help you make the accounts and then you need to verify about half of them via email.
It’s “semi-automatic,” like my shotgun here, so your accounts will be made to the social bookmarking sites and *then* you can bookmark. Otherwise you get a run of “error – account not verified at (social bm site) – you must verify your account” messages.
Again, I’d have to download the latest 5.4 version, but in the earlier versions, you had to verify a lot of the accounts once they were made. It’s a way the social bookmarking sites can fight against bots and software like BMD, but not all sites have it.
@JamestheJust on Elance
…wishes he really had a semi-automatic shotgun, but software first, shotgun second, oldest daughter’s only 15 still, have some time to buy a tom-tom gun or something appropriate…hint, hint, boys…
@ MikeMan –
Do you think your EZA submissions really kicked it up a notch? Also – about how long after you run BMD do you typically see any registered backlinks?
I’m asking only because I’m wondering if I’m missing a step…er, my neighbor, I mean – just ran a new site thru it, with a couple of 2.0 satellites for camouflage – and had 187 successfully registered posts, with about 90 failed (I was using about 3 “usernames” at once). Just curious if you knew about how long it normally took?
And do you have any Ritalin, I can’t seem to stop checking my ranking–? Tell me to stop, please?
@Tim
Just ran it…
@Danny
I have my adsense sites backed up automatically through XSite Pro 2.. I know about getting backups auto-emailed to you also. Thanks man.
I think I’m good for now…gotta focus on making money now, I’m frustrated with being at $100/day in adsense and don’t want to spend any more time doing other stuff.
@JamestheJust on Elance
I think the Ezine Articles can give boosts, but they can also give temporary spikes..I believe that what I saw was a temporary spike, I guess we’ll see…the UAW submissions usually bring things up to stay though.
And I’ll tell you that I don’t bother checking to see how many backlinks I get from BMD runs..BMD helps with indexing and in the end gets you maybe up to 5 registered backlinks, enough to get your site started along with Digg/RSS.
I told you before not to bother with checking rankings…You gotta focus on building sites…Build a batch of 10 or so sites, see where they’re ranking, learn…build another 10 or so sites based on refined criteria from your new found kw selection knowledge….
Repeat that process until you have like 30 odd sites then do a UAW run on the lot and repeat this whole process over again!
You’re not following a plan…
When you don’t have a plan, you stop to smell the roses so to speak(check the rankings).
So commit to a plan and stick to it. Spend more time doing work(backlinking/building sites) than activities that don’t put money in your pocket.
Thank you, sensei. Daniel-San shall paint-a-the-fence…
