Day 310 – 19 Ezine Submissions

March 11th, 2010

Going to keep this update short as I have to get up a bit early tomorrow…having some people come in to check that the water metering in my unit is fuctioning as it should or something.Β  Living in a condo unit, you get a notice that they’re going to be coming in between 9-5pm and that it is mandatory..kinda messed up because they just knock and if they get no answer, security just opens the door for them and they come in to do what they have to do..

Being that I don’t do that damn 9-5 anymore (thank God), I often sleep past 9… but I don’t want people walking in on me while I’m asleep.. I complained about that, but regardless, I want to be up a bit early just in case they decide to piss me off.

So today I got 19 Ezine submissions done..I took some of the UAW submissions I had outsourced for 20 of my sites (I believe Adsense Sniper #135-155 or so) via Human Rewriter and submitted those as backlinks to Ezine again before I do a UAW run with them.. I couldn’t submit 1 of them as it was too similar to an existing article in Ezine apparently..Anyway, no big deal.

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $16.61
  • Hops = 184
  • Adsense = $104.23
  • Total = $120.84

Do you notice EZA to be helping at all? I find submitting to EZA to be a waste of time.. what do you think?

  2. March 11th, 2010 at 08:58 | #2

Al – can’t speak for MikeMan, but I have followed the XFactor suggestion and ranked very well, generating a good income considering, simply by posting to EZA and once it’s published, cutting and pasting to ArticlesBase and GoArticles.

65-80- backlinks this way for me on all my sites – that was before I found Mike/UAW etc.

…it really depends on the effectiveness of your linkbait articles, too – I’ve had one article pulling 1k views a month. Proper SEO, low-competition keywords, ranking in the SE’s and getting pingbacks and bactracks from old artiles I’ve written.

@James the Just on Elance link-bait is really hard and when you do there’s no way it’ll be related to the links so most webmasters just get rid of the links? This is my experience and also, i think UAW takes care of this pretty well now, EZA is probably only good for keeping your articles at one place?

and whatever I post here is meant for the community. so yeah, feel free to answer, anybody!

Submitting to Ezines is definitely not a waste of time..however it is time consuming which is why I’ve skipped over it in the past.

I’m just experimenting now putting it back into the process.

Yo Mike, Don’t UAW submits to Ezine too? I figured they do since they submit to article directories & blogs.

BTW what Bookmarking software do you recommend on picking up? I’m stuck between BMD, BookmarkWiz & SEnuke(pricey)?

@Mikeman yeah PR6 backlinks for free sounds pretty good. Just don’t do what xfactor does and submit 100 articles to EZA hoping to go up in ranking. :p

oh and yeah I know you stopped doing this a while back.

    HI Mike
Great Condo. Congratulations, you earned it!

Someone asked about getting on mobile units. Should we be exploring that? Or do we have enough to do right here?

Question regarding using UAW. When it asks for the categories, do you go through the catlist.txt file and choose all that are appropriate. I am not quite sure how to best utilize this.
    thank you.

  11. March 11th, 2010 at 19:18 | #11

Yeah, that was me – I just posted the question because I just saw that on G’s Adsens pg, wondering if that could be used to boost income as the iPhone etc. are all the rage. What do you think, Mikeman?

And Bill – not sure if you were encrypting your answer in a question. I think it’s a potential way to maximize your income.

Say you have 100+ sites, then you did the backlinking thing and just wanted to boost your income…or maybe going forward did that…then how much of a boost in income would that be? Particularly as the format continues to grow – get in now, then the mobile platform explodes, ca-ching.

What do you guys think? Anyone doing this? Mikeman?

Mike I see you have 64 domains, most are niche sites with about 5 pages. Your keywords are the domains. What are you going to do when google finally figures out and discounts domain names and you have no real links coming to these pages.

I am doing some niche sites myself but I dont rely on the fully.

Making your domains private is worthless it does not cover your tracks.

Hi Mike and anyone else that get low on keywords from time to time. post a message on your facebook wall or just send email to your list telling your friends that you are doing some marketing research. ask them if they tend to purchase on line and if they do what items do they normally purchased…. I just got a list that will keep me busy for awhile… things i have not though of before….. Welll… no.. you can’t see my list… get your own…. LOL hope this helps….. cheers.

    @ The Finder

I really doubt google is ever going to discount domain names. If anything they are probably going to begin to gain even more weight as getting keyword TLD domains gets harder and harder.

My understanding is that they added a lot of weight to exact keyword domains because smaller websites were outranking the companies people were trying to find. For example if you type in “nike” you probably are trying to find nike.com.

You can never predict anything google does though. I think in the near future we are going to have to worry about how google ramping up personalised searches is going to effect ranking.

    @The Finder

Geez, you decided to sift through 2k sites on my server to find all that eh? fucking hell, what you expect me to say to that shit? It’s because of BS like this and whoever is fucking around shoving virii in my WordPress sites that I’m going to be shutting this site down and shift servers.

lmao…of course, he mentions all this on his blog, actually has alot more than 64 domains, and says he has 5 pages per site and buys the domain as his keyword and ALSO mentions he uses private registration.

wtf…was the point in all that anyway? lol

Everyone, please hold off on further commenting..the site is going to go down and will be transferred to a new server due to people snooping around trying to uncover my niches, I’ve had to go waste $150 on a new hosting plan so I’m on a different server…this is so people can’t sift through the 2k sites on my server and search for ones that might belong to me.

Any comments made after this will not transfer over…the site will go down soon … once the nameserver change takes place… I’ll let you know when it is back up.

UAW doesn’t submit to Ezines.. For just bookmarking, I wouldn’t get SENuke…I haven’t tried Bookmark Wiz(although James has mentioned here it wasn’t that great), but I can say that BMD works well for me and is what I use.

Actually I’ve seen myself go up in ranking from submitting over 100 Ezine articles, it’s a lot of work though…check out my past history..

Hey thanks Bill…nah, no need to think about that..just keep researching kw’s, pumping out sites and backlinking.

Ya, sift through the Catlist.txt file and find any relevant categories..also look through Ezine Article’s categories and see if you can find additional ones there.

Keep refreshing to see if the # of directories it submits to goes up after each one you add.

    Thanks for sharing Dee
