Day 296 – Adsense Sniper #179 + Double Indexing

February 25th, 2010

Even though I’ve been very busy with buying stuff and moving into my new condo (and will be for the next little while), I still made sure I did some work today and got up an additional adsense sniper..Even on the days where I’m really busy I always make sure I get something notable done each day for my business.

On another note, one thing I just noticed today was that a site that usually earns me a decent amount of money, was the TOP earner for the day today…I went to find out why that was, and I found out that not only was I ranking #2 for the kw term, but I had an indented ranking at #3 as well.  The indented ranking was backlinked via Backlink Solutions and had 11 registered backlinks,which was apparently enough to get that indented ranking.  This makes me think that various other inner pages could probably get boosted up to page 1 with a mere 10-15(quality) backlinks…

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $78.04 – 2 CB sniper sales + 1 sale for authority site #1
  • Hops = 138
  • Adsense = $110.47
  • Total = $188.51

    Thanks Again for responding to questions.

    Hey, nice going with the double index 🙂

    One of my competitors have a triple index… and I can’t figure out why.
    The page titles don’t have the keywords in them… Anyone know the secret to this?

    Actually, this blog has double index with some frequency. When at work and needing to stay under the radar, I need to search for mikeiser.com on Google versus just typing in the URL, and with some frequency it is double indexed.

    Hi there Mike,

    Thanks for such a fantastic day-by-day breakdown of the work that you’re up to – it’s clear that you’re incredibly committed.

    I am about to embark on my own journey into Adsense snipers and had a quick question for you.

    I have found some good main keywords of 3000+ exact searches, less than 10k competition, good CPC and doable competition on the first page, however I am struggling to find keywords for the inner pages for some reason.

    Do you sometimes sacrifice the inner page keywords or do they still 100% match the criteria that you set out in your guide? Like what if you can only find 1-2 good inner keywords for your main one? Or is it really just a case of digging better to find them?

    Thanks,

    Adam

    Hi Mike,

    Been following since the beginning! Quick question….are all of your sites on the same IP address? I know you have a HG reseller hosting, but, doesn’t that still mean they are on the same IP? If so, doesn’t this cause problems with SEO?

    Thanks!!

    Jason

    Hi Mike,

    Congrats on the double indexing I love whne that happens! Quick Question do you have any recommendations for a Backlink Solution supplement site? BLS closed it’s doors and I’m not sure what I should use for backlinks? Should I just hold on til they open again or do you think there’s a service that’s comparable that won’t break my wallet in the process? Any advise would be cool! Thanks

    @ Adam

    I usually just try and add a word or 2 onto the main keyword for every article.

    Keyword: how does it work?
    Keyword Reviews
    Keyword Safety
    Brandname Keyword

    etc…

    If these appear on the keyword tool then great, otherwise don’t worry about it. You can also check them on google, I don’t think they have ever had more competition in google than my main keyword.

    You can also try to think like someone who just entered the main site. What kind of articles would you expect to see? If nothing else this helps it look even less like a MFA site.

    hi Mike,

    I went through your “Read me first -“. I noticed that some whre you mentioned that you pick brand name kw. Do you get any issues with trademark violation or copyrights with those kw. How do you deal with it? Or you go for lesser known brand names?

    I recently found a good brand name kw with great search volume and negligible competition but afraid to register it.

    I would appreciate your feedback.

    thanks

    Sid

    Mikeman,
    I know you briefly went over this, but i have a few domains that have the word free or discount in them for example something like ‘free reverse phone directory’ or ‘cruise discounts’ is it ok to chalk these sites full of adsense? or does it look too suspicious for someone to click on the ads?

  10. February 25th, 2010 at 21:35 | #10

    @ Mikeman/all –

    Yikes. Got BANNED from Digg. Hello! That sucks. Any tips on how you Digg so that doesn’t happen? I’ve lost all my Diggs, on all sites.

    Will have to find a way around that, like opening up other email accounts.

    But, when you get a moment – do you have any tips for lame-oh’s like myself so that doesn’t happen? I got the nasty gram from Digg that I won’t be re-instated “due to the severity of the abuse.

    @ James the Just
    I change my IP address after the launch of each site just because when im promoting it gets pretty heavy. and also i have 9 different usernames for over 80 top social networking, media and bookmarking sites that I use according to the niche im in at the moment. so lets say im promoting a health product then i use ‘rita berkshire’ for that site because she promotes health and fitness products and i can auto fill my entries with roboform and all identities get loaded into it so it makes it easy when im promoting. and i can just choose which identity to use when promoting a site.

  12. February 25th, 2010 at 22:44 | #12

    Kasey –

    So, you change your IP with a proxy server? Sorry for the lame questions, still very green.

    Have you used OnlyWire? Keep hearing about it. I think I’ll have to give it a shot – I’m using BMD runs, Social Bot, RSS Bot, RSS Feed Submit and Ezine/UAW runs. Getting more and more automated at this point with the article writing, though my linkbait articles on Ezine and UAW do very well, so it’s hard to let that go too much with the success I’ve seen.

    One thing that’s cool – having a 15 y/o daughter that’s now my personal Human Rewriter, while I wait my articles from THE Human Rewriter (top right link to this blog), and as I wait for all that, I’m writing Ezine Arts cross-publishing to GoArt’s and ArticlesBase – and getting double ranking on first page of G with my articles that way, across all 3 “main” article directories.

    Crud. Sounds like a lot of work – but not if you love writing and can do it quickly, off the top of your head, with high-ranking SEO keywords.

    I dunno – does that sound like WAY too much work? I hate to give it up: it’s got me on the 1-2 page of G, and a few #1 spots in Y! and Bing. Scared to drop the wee bit of linkbaiting I’m doing…AND I want the FREE MUG FROM EZINE!!

    Mwahahahahaa!

  13. February 25th, 2010 at 22:48 | #13

    Oh, another note – I’m trying to get my daughter to work from HOME, so I’m trying to get her trained on article writing: 1) to save me from having to buy her a car – she’ll need to earn it, 2) to save me from having to write all my own UAW runs, 3) since I’m training her to write, this is a shoe-in. Will see how it goes. My wife doesn’t wanna play…ah, well!

    This is turning out into a full-fledged family business, hopefully it works out. Then will be training my kids to build their own AdSense sites – they’re all juiced as I show them MikeMan’s #s.

    Gonna have to call him “Uncle MikeMan.” What do you think, MikeMan? Uncle MikeMan or Uncle Iser? Uncle AdSense?…

    February 25th, 2010 at 23:19 | #14

    lmaooo@James the Just,
    man that was funny with the Uncle Mikeman part, lol. Literally “laughed out loud” thats a good one. Mikeman just became a long distance virtual uncle. how bout Uncle Mikesense.

    In any case, I dont use proxies..I change the IP from my ISP. I have a wireless router connected to my cable modem. So what I do is log in to my router from my air card and change one digit in the MAC address and when the router is re-booted is FORCES an IP change from your internet service provider. So i can destroy an IP and do LOADS of promoting and just change it afterwards. simple. dont even know if this is necessary but i got into the habit of doing it when I used to do profile packet backlinking and the sites would log my IP but i still do it anyways to wash out any existing presence on the sites Im promoting on.

    as far as too much work? not sure about that. if its working for you then great. keep doing it. we all have our different strategies. for example, i dont use UAW or ezinearts or even half the stuff Mikeman uses but I can still end up on page1 for almost half my sites and the other half is on page 2 and there are some that get sandboxed but will eventually take ranking.

    but finding something that works for you is the hardest part and this is where most affiliates will fail because they cant find anything that works, but once you find it then all you have to do is scale it from there. so i would say the “knowing how to make money online” is conquered now just scale it up.

    …and go get those 10 Sites up! lol

  15. February 26th, 2010 at 00:15 | #15

    Kasey Langton :
    how bout Uncle Mikesense.

    Uncle Freaking MikeSense!

    Got the content to about 5 sites, 6 more cooking. I started Feb with THREE sites, made a killing with those three in Jan with AdSense (considering) and aff commissions, then I found Uncle Freaking MikeSense. After asking MikeMan a few questions and doing what he said, I’ve tripled the 3 with 11 sites’ worth of content and then some…

    Total of 9, will be 20 soon as I can quit checking back here for Mike’s 2 cents (or anyone’s, really)…

    Crumbs. G2G – Elance client to see to. Quick money calling!

    anyone that is interested in seeing ‘logic’ disproven go to go0gle and type in the word…something…just goes to show how important it is to get a domain with your exact keyword and also backlinks.

    @Nick

    Hey Nick, I use Google Analytics over a few accounts and now I’m starting to use Statcounter for my newer sites…

    @Me

    Triple index? damn, wtf, never heard of that..Ya, my site tends to rank well for a lot of terms, probably due to the fact that it’s 2.5 years old and has another 2.5 year old domain pointing to it(michaeliser.com)

    @Adam

    Hey, np man, thanks.. I just answered your question the other day: http://mikeiser.com/day-295-adsense-sniper-178#comment-4708 (vince’s reply)

    @Jason

    Hey whatsup Jason? I believe all these people having issues with IP’s don’t have reseller accounts but rather regular accounts. When you have just a regular account, new domains become “add on domains” and I believe this is where the problems stem from because I’ve never had any issues with my reseller accounts.

    @John Davis

    Well, to get into BLS, you need to sign up for their mailing list and they will mail you when it re-opens..

    But I’ve found the best value to be with UAW…they dont’ have limits on the # of backlinks you can generate and it is a staple in my backlinking process which has lead to many boosts in my income.

    @Sid

    Hey Sid, not sure where you read that as I don’t go after brand name kw’s…I used to at one point, but since getting a cease and decsist, not anymore..I wouldn’t recommend going after brand name kw’s, spend a full day doing kw research…you may uncover keywords at a rate of 1 every hour for a while, but eventually you’ll stumble upon a niche that yields you 5, 10, or 15 keywords (all non-brand name)…

    You’ve just got to be a bit more patient.

    @Kasey Langton

    Ya, keywords with “discount”, “cheap” or “for sale” are great..they get GREAT click through rates and usually get you a lot of money.

    The only thing is, you’re going to have to put a small line inbetween your adsense title and the adsense block in light grey text so that it isn’t misconstrued.

    @James the Just on Elance

    You’re not alone, it happened to me to, the ban…you can’t go bookmarking too many sites in 1 day…the most I do in 1 day is 2…Just be more conservative with Digg..Digg is NOT a site you want to abuse.

    You can also try setting up other accounts, although if they find suspicious activity on one, they can still ban them all as they can find out they’re connected to the same IP.

    And you can change your IP with a program like Hide My IP..although that has a yearly fee of $30 or so..Although I don’t bother doing that with Digg, I’m just more conservative with them.

    And regarding Onlywire, if you have BMD, you don’t need to use that. Onlywire is not automated, if you’ve got BMD, you shouldn’t be worrying about other bookmarking programs. Check that off your list and start looking to other promotional methods.

    James the Just on Elance :

    Oh, another note – I’m trying to get my daughter to work from HOME, so I’m trying to get her trained on article writing: 1) to save me from having to buy her a car – she’ll need to earn it, 2) to save me from having to write all my own UAW runs, 3) since I’m training her to write, this is a shoe-in. Lol! And nice job with the site building man, keep the momentum going…

    @Kasey Langton

    Thought I would mention that UAW is not just for boosting your page to #1 for your main kw, but building up backlinks and authority of your site so it ranks for more longtail variations…if you do your kw research right you tend to get page 1 rankings with 0 backlinks. UAW also helps you to climb the page 1 rankings…as do Ezines, especially when in combination.

    @ Mikeman
    can you clarify the light grey line? do you mean this literally? and if so about how long does it need to be?

    and ya, i agree with you on uaw and ezine, i just dont use them even though ive been thinkin about it lately to compliment my other promotion methods i use.

    on another note. i doubled my adsense income each day as im converting my CB snipers to adsense and my ctr fluctuates between 3-5% pretty cool to see something consistent vs the ridiculous ups and downs with CB

    February 26th, 2010 at 01:06 | #19

    @Kasey Langton

    I can’t go into specifics as it will be a marker that people can use against me to find my sites.

    Just come up with your own way to separate the title from the ad.. But when I say light grey line, I mean a line of text, not an actual line.

    And congrats on the income increase!

    You can also use Sticky Password instead of Roboform.
