Day 295 – Adsense Sniper #178

February 24th, 2010

Today I found an additional keyword to build a domain on and also found 4 inner keywords for that as well as for 4 other sites…this was all I needed to do to give one of my outsourcers 35 articles to work on for the week…I now have 3 outsourcers working on new site content…

I’ve found that my income has shot up as I build and backlink more sites, but I have not noticed any increases from building up additional pages for existing websites…hence the reason for focusing on pumping out more sites at the moment.

I’m going to be pretty busy over the next few days as I’m moving into my new apartment(I just got the keys today :>), but I’ll try and get to the comments later..

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $63.70 – 2 CB Sniper sales
  • Hops = 180
  • Adsense = $106.43
  • Total = $170.13

Awesome results so far. Just a quick question if you don’t mind. Do you build out all your new sites with at least 5 pages of content? Do you ever build one page websites? Btw, just purchased Human Rewriter through your link a few days ago and the backlog time is ridiculous. I have to wait 6-9 days just for rewrites!!

Hann, while human rewriters is good you can always order the rewrites along with the original article for even a better deal. πŸ™‚

Just need to find the right writer.

Quick Q, Can I use the same ad unit block of code for multiple posts on the same site or do they all need to be different block codes? thx

    Congrats on the keys!!

Must be a nice feeling πŸ™‚

I too think that it is harder to rank for internal pages. My MO for those is to go for the REALLY low hanging fruit, or to just make more pages on a very tight topic to strengthen the index page and helping the site rank better.

Then again I have a couple of sites where an internal page outranks (as far as visitors) the home page… It’s all a big mystery…lol…

Looking forward to future updates about SB. My jury is still out, guess because I don’t understand it enough.

    Hello Mike,
Do you have a specific criteria when selecting inner keywords for your sites or is it the same when selecting for main keywords? I have a .info test site that is ranked #160+ for the main keyword but the inner pages are on the second page and has been consistent on getting clicks averaging 20-50 cents a day…I don’t really checked my inner keywords just get the ones with low SOC at that time.

I have been following your journey for a while and I really admire your consistent job. I have started to build micro niche websites by using SENuke and I was able to be on the first page for my main keywords within a couple of days.

I had a quick question. What’s your criteria for choosing a niche/main keyword in aspect of the following measure:

    1. Google results for phrase match
    2. Google Result for allintitle
    3. Top 10 websites appearing in the SERP

I am doing my research by Market Samurai but it becomes slow/unstable when you are opening multiple tabs. I have also heared good comments about MNF. Which one are you using for your niche research/keyword selection?

I have tons & tons of questions and I would be grateful if you could answer.

Thanks Hann, all my sites are built with 5 pages of content, ya..Feels better knowing I don’t have any holes in my empire, that all sites have a solid 5 pages.

1 page websites is just begging for retribution from either Google de-indexing you or Adsense coming after you for being a MFA site.

thanks man, ya, Human Rewriter at times has long waiting times..but they are very good at meeting the deadlines set, even if it is 6-9 days.

It’s rare that it takes that long, usually I get my stuff back in 2-4 days.

    @Kasey Langton

Ya for sure..you can use the same block of code for multiple pages on the same site. That’s what I do, 1 block of code for the whole site.

Thanks Evita :> Ya, I’m going to stick to pumping out sites for now due to that..unless I’m in a situation where I need to keep my outsourcers busy and I’ve run out of new kw’s.

    Hey Vince…

Well, when selecting inner keywords, I at first use the same criteria as selecting my main page keyword which is outlined in my readme..however..if in my search for inner page keywords I find there aren’t enough keywords that meet that criteria, which happens about 50% of the time, I then “lower my standards” so to speak. I start adding keywords that have maybe only 1 PR N/A or PR 0 on page 1, or even keywords I know I won’t rank on page 1 for, but add them with the intention of ranking for at least long term variations of the keyword.

Also, I don’t even bother with SOC. After following that and testing it substantially over many websites, I’ve found it’s a useless metric. I frequently rank for keywords with extremely high/red SOC.

    @Reza Farshbaf

    Hey Reza,

I don’t look at google results for phrase match when doing kw research..I only look at exact and I look for 2.4k+..preferably 2.9k+

I also don’t bother with allintitle..

As for the top 10, I have outlined how I analyze them in several posts which can be found in the ‘read me’. If there are 2-3 PR 0/NA’s that’s usually a good sign. A good chunk of it is about analyzing page rank and # of backlinks.

A good part of it is also intuition in combination with that though, as you build more sites you get a 6th sense for what a keyword you can rank for will be like.

Right now I use MNF..it makes the process of finding niche markets a lot simpler, however like I said above, I no longer go by the SOC metric they have. You could also just use the Google Keyword research tool..you would just have to manually go and check if domains are available on another website…MNF does this in the program though which saves some time.

    Hey Mike,

    Really appreciate this blog!

Do you prefer Adsense Snipers over ClickBank Snipers?

If you had to choose just one, from now on, which would
    you go with?

I’m also doing micro niche sites similar to yours. Thing is I’m on a tight buget. Would you rather recommend pumping out lots of sites and do little backlinking (article marketing & profile backlinks) or less sites and decent backlinking (UAW, Profile backlinks, BLS, blog commenting, article marketing)?

    @ James the Just
after adding adsense and seeing my rankings boost all across my sites it seems that the translation method for content will be fine. I know Mikeman only uses unique content and does fine but the translation method will still chrun out your content to being 20-40% unique which i heard as long as its more than 20% unique then it passes the dupe content filters. You can read about it here.

    Hello Mike,

Your website is a great source of information and inspiration!
I just want to ask a few questions.

    * Would it be best to use the 100% unique content from Human re-writer on your websites, and then use spun content on your article/blog submissions?? I have ( the best article spinner) and its pretty good.

    * I just started using thelinkjuicer.com Have you ever used it? Its free for the first month. So I will see how it goes and choose between either uniquearticle wizard or T.L.J.

** Do you ever use .info domains?

    thanks alot

Hey thanks Renata :> Well..seeing as how I’m spending my time building my adsense income rather than CB income, it’s safe to say I prefer adsense revenue…

The reason being is that it is a lot easier to find viable keywords, they are all over the place…and all you have to do is just get clicks, you don’t have to worry about selling anything..

Also, the money from my product adsense snipers is MUCH more stable.

    Hey Mark,

OK, in your situation this is what I’d do:

Focus all your attention on getting out as many sites as possible. The more sites you have the better…Make sure you put them up slowly though..don’t buy all the domains at once, buy them in batches of 5-10. That way you can build them and see what works and refine your process if you find things aren’t working out the way you’d like

Backlink up all your websites with Ezine Articles, then other properties Web 2.0 properties and article directories.. submit RSS feeds for them via RSS Bot(cheap) run BMD on them(only if you already have it) and Digg them..

Keep this up until your sites are as a whole generating at least $67/month(shouldn’t take long).. once that’s done, you now have enough for a UAW membership.

Now that you have UAW, go back and run it on all the sites and submit it at 15/day…

After time, do another UAW submission on your top sites.

    @Matt McSweeney

Thanks man…I don’t use content from Human Rewriter for my websites, only for UAW submissions..

I would hire writers via ODesk or GAF for my site content or write it myself..

If you use TBAS you’re only going to get about 20-25% uniqueness by spinning, so you’re going to have to go back and up the uniqueness if you want to use that content for something like UAW submissions..

If you don’t up the uniqueness enough, you will get substantially fewer backlinks..If I were doing that, I’d probably want to get it to at least 40%+ unique(with Human Rewriter it ends up at 60% or so).

    I’ve never used TLJ…

and I only use top level domains (.com/org/net)..

Wasn’t clear if you had intended to go back to(also)doing CB Snipers.
…agree with preference for Adsense…Cheers to your ongoing success!

Dude – Just finally bit the bullet and did my first 3 submissions for Human Rewriter. Cleared my cookie jar and gave you the siggity sale.

Also hired my 4th freelancer – this one’s in “la raza” – a Filipina. Still trying to nail down the team – the other two were great, but this one’s much cheaper, and hungry. If she lives anywhere near where my mom used to live, I can see why.

Anyhow, MikeMan, I have the content for about 5 sites with 3 more cookin. I am officially behind in my Elance workload, but addicted to this thing called progress.

Thanks for hookin’ me. Cheers, and for the record – I THOUGHT HOCKEY WAS CANADA’S SPORT?!

    USA!!!!!! USA!!!!!!

    Thanks Mike.

My current plan is 4 sites a month (not a lot but this is more of a part time job for my ’cause I do have a decent full time job which pays all the bills), each site gets 5 articles to each of the top 5-6 article directories, 30 profile backlinks, BMD runs, RSS Bot, Directory Bot, 5-15 TLJ links a day.

My total income for January was €9, I’m up to €18 already for February πŸ™‚

My sites are ranking really well in my opinion, 4 are on page 1 and 5 on page 2. I’m just not getting a lot of traffic.

    @James the Just on Elance

Nice James, now that sounds like progress :>

I haven’t had any time to watch Olympics, no idea whats going on!

Hey Mark..I’m going to level with you.

If you do this at the rate of 4 sites a month, the only thing that’s going to happen is you’re going to frustrate yourself to death and wind up quitting due to seeing no results…either that, or you’ll decide to step things up BIG time.

4 sites a month needs to be upped to something more along the lines of 4 sites a week if you want to see some money from this. Until you get to that level, this will be a hobby that never seems to pay off.

If your sites are ranking well, but you don’t feel like you’re getting enough traffic, make sure you’re going after keywords that are over 2.4k searches a month(exact)…preferably 2.9k+.

But ya, just letting you know what’s in store ahead for you and what you can start doing now to avoid it.

Well Mike, the thing is I’m working a full time job (50 hours a week) and I have a newborn baby so there is not that much free time I have available ;).

That’s why I’m building just 4 sites a month but spending some time and money on promotion so they will rank better.

And my sites are all 2.9k (exact)

  18. Mark
    February 26th, 2010 at 07:40 | #18

I could however do clickbump’s method of building 1 page sites. That way I could pump out 4-5 a week.

    February 26th, 2010 at 07:49 | #19

    @ Mark
outsource the content if need be, but Mikeman is right, its best to get a flood of sites out as quickly as possible so you can see the potential income earnings and not get frustrated. The very first site I ever built I made 200 bucks off of it and I thought I failed because I wasnt driving a ferrari or living in a big house from IM. But the fact is …is that 200 bucks in a month for a site is actually pretty decent. So building lots of sites is key to being successful in IM unless you hit big like mysparce, whateverlife or plenty0ffish. But even they had to work hard until their site became viral. and if you need just one page sites with a few posts for now thats usually the best way if your using the sniper method and actually recommended

  20. Mark
    February 26th, 2010 at 08:34 | #20

I already outsource all the content creation, I just don’t have the time nor patience to write myself.

So yea, I might just go with single post/article sites to begin with, then expand the winners and promote even further.

    @ Mark
I would suggest using wordpress or xsitepro as they both do extremely well in the SERPS and if your KW research is done correctly then you should be hitting first pages pretty quickly.

    February 26th, 2010 at 09:25 | #22

I’m using WP and so far my sites have done okay in the SERPs.
Like Mike and Kasey pointed out I just need to pump out more sites.
