February 13th, 2010

Going to keep this one short as I didn’t get much time today to work…just put up 1 more sniper site.ย  I got most of my major furniture purchases out of the way for my new condo (TV / Sofa / Bed / Dining Table) so hoping to get a bit more done tomorrow..

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $36.64 – 2 CB Sniper sales
  • Hops = 147
  • Adsense = $113.26
  • Total = $149.90

    Mike

    Hey I have a couple of questions; I just posted a job on Odesk and am going to begin the process of outsourcing. I am hoping to get at least one decent writer. I have a couple of questions if you do not mind.

    When people begin responding to my job posting you mentioned that you have them do some sample articles for you. How do you have them do that? Do you pay them to get those sample articles done for you?

    Other than that I think I got the rest of it covered; I am a little nervous on hiring someone; but I feel like it is time to bite the bullet so I can grow my income.

    Thanks for taking your time to answer this and for all you have done and continue to do.

    Susan –

    (just had to interject) I freelance on Elance, the way it usually seems to work is that there will simply be, as part of the job description, a very detailed sentence that says, “please include a sample article on [topic], 400 words.”

    If worse comes to worse, you wind up with 3-5 or more sample articles on the keyword of your choice…I hope that didn’t come off as pedantic, I just see this question from the other side of things. People ask for samples all the time.

    I always refer them to a website of mine and my EzineArt’s provider page, personally.

    @Susan

    Hey thanks Susan, I state in the job description that the project will be for 5 trial articles to start and that if a good job is done, continuing work will be available.

    These articles I have them write end up being additional pages to my existing sniper sites.

    After the completion of those articles, all future projects are handled outside of the outsourcing site, through Paypal…

    Outsourcing is a huge step, but it is soooo critical…if you’re in this for the long haul, you need to bite the bullet. Work gets done faster and easier..

    Mikeman,
    I now have 50 re-indexed CB snipers total. I got a record high of 83 hops yesterday and made 3 sales for a total of $79. The day started off slow at around 12 hops for most of the day and when evening came they just spiked up all of a sudden. I still have 44 domains with blank wordpress blogs (that target CB) that just got indexed. So Ill start working on those and it will take me about a week and half to finish those up then Ill start working on amzon snipers. Im waiting on a $1500 check to come in within the next couple of days which I will make a car payment then the rest will go towards buying 120 domains that will target amzon. Take me about 3-4 weeks to get all those launched.

    Mike

    Hey why do you handle your payments through paypal as opposed to using Odesk?

  6. February 13th, 2010 at 15:55 | #6

    Way to go, Kasey! BTW, I LOVE the $2.00 clicks I get once in a blue moon. Not sure why the next clicks were all less than a buck, but happy with the high click amount.

    @Kasey Langton

    Nice man :>

    @Susan

    I don’t want to deal with ODesk everytime I want to give out a new assignment..I’ll have to create a new private listing every time which is annoying, plus they take out a share from what you pay your outsourcers (although even Paypal does that)…

    It’s just a lot more convenient going through Paypal.

  8. February 13th, 2010 at 19:20 | #8

    @ Mikeman:

    I agree – PayPal over Elance, the problem with my client list is that they require the 1099 tax form info, otherwise I’d go PayPal for sure, their cut is ridiculous!

    Just not sure how to make that jump, you know? From a writer’s perspective, I mean. But good on ya, man, that’s def the way to go.

    FYI… Don’t but domains while drinking. I misspelled “toilet” and spent $18 bucks on “toliet” sites. Actually, toliet the French spelling! Oh wait… toilet is already french! BAH! Maybe I should have just went with crapper. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Hi Mike,

    Glade to hear your success. Question about human rewriter, is it cheaper to use them or UAW’s in house rewriting service?

    I can’t really figure that out since human rewriter is credit based.. ๐Ÿ™

    Appreciate the help!

    James the Just :

    crap. keanuโ€™s immortal?

    lol, ya..

    @slash30

    hah, damn..ya I’ve done stuff like that, except it involved me buying the .net and .org of the same keyword inadvertently..

    @bonny&clyde

    Hey thanks..ya, UAW’s service is more expensive…Human Rewriter you get 3 350-400 word articles for about $9-10…at UAW’s MAX service I believe its $15.

    Hey Mike,

    When doing your sniper research do include local count + global count when determining if a keyword is at your minimum of 2900 searches? The reason I ask is I’ve seen some pretty easy to rank keywords with like 1000 local but 18000 global searches. Or some that are even all global search volume but above 2900.

    I see, I’ve been looking at UAW and reviews all over the web and the verdict is most of the links don’t count because they lack inbound links.

    I’m going with 3waylinks since it’s much more easier to setup and for the very fact that I’ve had success with 1waylinks which Jon said to be less powerful than 3waylinks..

    Have you ever had any good results with either of these programs?

    I’m at $100+/day from adsense with just SEnuke in the past but I’m looking for that holy grail BL system that would work equally as good, with less work.

    Thanks

    @slash30

    I generally go for a minimum of 2,400 these days…you have to be careful though of keywords where the global is say 9,000 but the local is 240 or something ridiculously low…that has happened to me a few times, those sites turned out to be duds that got no traffic.

    If the CPC is high enough, I have been experimenting with keywords that are even lower than 2,400…but if you want to play it safe, the general rule of anything over 2,400 or better yet 2,900 is a good one and got me to where I am today.

    Mike I am looking at UAW and thinking of signing up for it but I do have a question and maybe you know the answer. Do they allow links to foreign sites? Like my article will be in english as will be my biobox but the keyword and link will be to for instance a dutch site. Will they allow that?

    February 14th, 2010 at 07:15 | #17

    @Edwin

    I know you can’t submit articles in another language, but as for the resource box keyword, I don’t know as I’ve never been in that situation…

    I’d send them a msg…

  18. February 14th, 2010 at 14:55 | #18

    Thanks Mike i will. I made up my mind and either way I will signup as I also have about 150 english sites in need of promotion. Starting tomorrow my focus wll be on promotion of those sites and I will modify my plugin a bit to make adsense sites but I will also add 4-5 pages original and unique content. I am going to set a goal of 2 sites a day.

    Maybe something you can use…I used godaddy a long time for my domains but I found this place last year and am very happy with it http://internetbs.net/
    .com = $6.95
    .net = $5.99
    .org = $7.75
    .co.uk = $4.95
    and free private whois registration.

    @Edwin

    Hmm, do you happen to know how much they charge for renewing whois protection or the cost of renewing those top level domains?

    February 14th, 2010 at 21:49 | #20

    Hey Mike,

    The renewal is the same.

  21. February 14th, 2010 at 22:14 | #21

    Thanks for the heads-up on the registrar, Edwin.

  22. February 15th, 2010 at 01:57 | #22

    Yeah the renewal is the same. No tricks like Godaddy and the like where if you snooze have a $11 bill for a .com and $5 on top of it for private whois

  23. February 15th, 2010 at 14:28 | #23

    Signed up on UAW. Don’t have an answer yet but like i said i wanted to do this anyway. Made sure to clear my cookies and used your link so it should show up on your affiliate sales.
