Day 283 – Adsense Sniper #163

February 12th, 2010

Today I spent a lot of time reviewing one of my new writers work…I must have reviewed about 15 of their articles…this is a writer whom I have to reword a lot of text for and going through that many re-writes can be quite draining and take up quite a bit of time.

At first I didn’t mind it, but as time goes on, it kinda gets to you…

Aside from that, I put up another adsense sniper.Β  I now have 3 of my writers working on content for new sites and am going to have to do more keyword research if I am to continue to have keywords for new sites available for them to work on.

When it comes to increasing your income further, nothing beats a solid backlinking run…putting up sites is all well and good, but if you want to see those spikes in income, if you want to see those sites take off, you really got to focus on backlinking in a big way…

I believe the next surge in income will come about when I decide to do either a bunch of Scrapebox runs/UAW runs, Ezine runs or some other method of backlinking..

Earnings For Today:

  • CB -= $0
  • Hops = 141
  • Adsense = $105.65

    Mike

    Hey I have to agree with you about backlinking; it is something that I try to focus on a monthly basis. I usually get around 10-14 sites up every month and my main focus is to begin a backlinking campaign for them every month.

    Hi
    I recently got a site to jump to #1 on google page one. I’m panicked! What do I do now? I don’t want to screw things up. Just want the status quo.
    I was thinking of getting the same keyword with a dot net with a goal of getting two listings on page one. OR should I continue to do backlinks… Will that be overkill, or should I just leave it alone until things change?
    Thanks… you are the reason for the NO 1 listing BTW.

    Hey Mike,

    Just a few technical questions about reseller hosting…

    1.) Have you ever noticed any slowdown by having so many (150+ sites) on reseller hosting with Hostgator (the Aluminum plan).

    2.) Have you ever used too much CPU with reseller hosting? How about bandwidth?

    3.) Are all of your sites on the same IP address?

    4.) Do most of your sites reach the first page of Google with your current backlinking technqiues? Do they tend to stay there? Do you inner pages also reach the first page…or just your main/index page?

    @TJ I do get the idea that reseller hosting is slower then normal hostgator hosting. I have 4 normal accounts at HG and 1 reseller and to me sites at the reseller account load slower by default. I have to say i can’t back it up with actual testdata but it’s till now my feeling and i had a customer who I build a site for complain about slow loading times.
    To me if you build sites just for yourself i would rather go for the Baby plan. It feels faster and has more room and datatraffic and it’s cheaper and I am dutch so that is a big selling point for me.

    @ bill – awesome!! freaking cool

  7. February 12th, 2010 at 20:48 | #7

    @ MikeMan –

    Curious about your BMD submission process – do you afterward bother to go into the email accts you created and then activate those accounts, or just let those be?

    well sh*t,
    the site that i added adsense on and got slappt is back, it didnt de-indexed or disappeared it just got pushed back a few pages, after i took adsense off and jazzed it back up for CB it is now on page 1 number 6…wtf? I dont know what to do now.

    Is it because it initially slappt me then gained rankings?? or because I took the adsense off and re-monetized?? i dont know. need to know how it boosted up like that and also why it got slappt

    I might add adsense to another site…wait for it to get slappt then take off adsense and see what happens

  10. February 12th, 2010 at 23:26 | #10

    That’s funny, Kasey – maybe you should take off G analytics, but keep the AdSense? Listen carefully, that may come off muffled, I’m talking out of my @$$. Just a thought.

    You may have unlocked a secret way to kick butt in the rankings on CB snipers! Weird. Now write the eBook and sell it on CB, dangit.

    @ All:

    ===> WARNING !! <====

    Since reading Mike’s blog:

    1) I have doubled my AdSense sites (easy to do when you start with THREE) – all in a matter of a few days…just got my third. If I have time will do a 4th by Monday, but have Elance clients to kick-@$$ for, that’s what I do!

    2) I have a new addiction. I want to know what Mike’s doing, and what you all think. I now officially check this blog as much as I check my own AdSense acct, if not more. I don’t have the RSS feed to my AdSense, but I do this blog…

    3) I have purchased 2 items from Mike’s aff links above. I MAY even consider buying a condo next to him, leaving the wife and 7 kids behind. It’s getting bad. I have the shakes sometimes.

    4) You will waste time here, improving your swing, and become obsessed. Your social life will become second fiddle to success and CTR.

    Consider yourself warned. Don’t say I didn’t tell you so. And by all means, do NOT subscribe to the feed! It is LACED with something addictive.

    (shuffles back to phone, to call his AA sponsor: the 12-step program for AdSense Anonymous…)

    lmaooo@James the Just
    that was hilarious, i needed that, thx. no but seriously, you can crank this into high gear. I have upped my daily routine, hell Im making my 6th CB sniper for today as we speak! Loox like i might even hit another record high of hops today. So, point being now Im going to try and hang onto these CB sites as long as I can before deciding to sell them off. I wanna see what they do in the next month or so.

    And yeah I may have found a “ranking loophole”! It’s great to find things by chance or by accident or by whatevers, kinda like how Mikeman discovered scrapebox. even though we are all in anticipation waiting to see if he gets boosts in the SERPS!

    The moment he says “my scrapebox runs boosted my sites ranking” then Im going to purchase it! ha. But anyways, start a goal for yourself. Let’s say 1 adsense site every other day, then every day, then 2 a day, 3 a day, 4 a day…well you get the point.

    The more you do it the faster you get. What helped me is writing my process on a notepad, then I just follow those steps and do it on each site. Right now im averaging a CB site from start to finish every 2 hours. That is content, monetized and promoted. Push the envelope and see what you can accomplish. It gets motivating when you start seeing $ come in.

  12. February 12th, 2010 at 23:58 | #12

    @Kasey Langton
    Thanks, Jag man! I appreciate that – definitely the “have a goal” system is pushing, and reading what you and MikeMan are accomplishing here – my wife thinks I’m freaking nuts-o, the first $158 check from G along with the $400-ish CJ check wasn’t enough for her to get the pic, so I come here for the push.

    I agree, “It get motivating when you start seeing $ come in.” Even if it’s MikeMan’s $ I’m watching – that’s motivating enough for now!

    Thanks, Kasey.

    Mike,

    Quick question on BMD. I bought BMW back during christmas when it was discounted but now it doesn’t seem to get updated much and digg and other popular sites aren’t working now.

    Is BMD keeping up on the weeding out the non-working sites? BMW is great if it wasn’t for the lack of updates. But, I feel like I’m missing out without digg and other big sites.

  14. February 13th, 2010 at 02:45 | #14

    i’ve noticed mike Diggs separately…

    @Susan

    Ya…it’s about time for my next 30 site batch UAW run..

    @Bill

    Nice Bill!…what you need to do is not worry about any 1 site and continue to pump out new sites.

    You need to be at a point where you’re too busy building new sites to even THINK about the site you built 1, 2 or 3 days ago..once you get to that point, you’re on the right track. Of course in the process of getting to that level, you’ll need to stop and assess if what you’re doing is working at various points though until you figure out the whole kw research part of this game.

    Do not bother getting the .net..you don’t even know how well this kw will perform so don’t waste your time…You only do that for domains which have proven to be profitable for you down the road (ie: sites that have made $30 for the month or more)..

    @TJPann

    1. Regarding slowdown, I notice slowdown when I am adding new websites under WHM…the more websites you have in a reseller account, the slower it is when you are adding a new website to the WHM. That is the only slowdown that I notice, the sites don’t load slower or anything.

    2. I’ve gotten close to the bandwidth/disk usage limits with almost 300 sites, but recently they doubled them so no problems anymore.

    3. nope

    4. This is a qn I answered before, about 50% of my sites wind up page 1, probably more now since last I checked. I also don’t bother checking rankings often..but most of my sites do stay put.

    I have a few inner pages that do rank on page 1 too, ya..

    @James the Just

    ya, you for sure need to activate your accounts after BMD creates them or you won’t be able to post to them!

    @Kasey Langton

    I say who cares, just pump out sites & backlinks :>

    @James the Just

    Hahah! Congrats on doubling your adsense sites and congrats on considering moving into a condo :>

    @Kasey Langton

    When I get the time I’m going to have to really give Scrapebox a good run (also before my proxies expire)..

    @slash30

    Don’t bother yourself with the # of sites BMD submits to..don’t micro analyze at that level..Don’t expect one program to do it all either.. I do my Digg seperately as James mentioned.

    I mainly see BMD as a way to help get yourself indexed and maybe a handful of backlinks (under 5)

    HI there )

    I still find Onlywire as the fastest way to bookmark for free. This small button in my Firefox panel solves the SB in 3 minutes, including finaliztion of bookmarks on Digg, Mixx and Connotea.

    I’m owning BMW (also bought it during the Christmas good mood of BMW developer Nossie) but it fails 50% of submissions all the time…

  20. February 14th, 2010 at 12:08 | #20

    @Anton
    I had a bad experience from BMW too, went with BMD instead (much faster, more features).

    I’ve installed onlywire on my sites as a plugin, haven’t yet set up the accounts. Thanks, Anton.
