Day 280 – Adsense Sniper #160

February 9th, 2010

Spent much of the day shopping for furniture for my condo…I was out from 8-11:30 in 1 shop alone past the 9pm closing time negotiating the price of a TV :/.  I ended up getting a 54″ plasma TV w/ stand, an HD TV box, and 5.1 sound system  .. I’m still wondering though if I should pay 1k extra and get a 55″ LED monitor, apparently LED monitors are top of the line right now in terms of picture quality.

Anyways, I was still able to do a bit of work, got another adsense sniper up…I also spent time reviewing about 23 articles from one of my writers.  I was also reviewing the articles of a different writer and noticed that there was quite a bit of copied sentences when analyzing their work through copyscape…of course they had no idea that there was anything wrong with cutting and pasting phrases here and there…bottom line is they were trying to cut corners and now I’ve got a bunch of articles with stuff copied word for word.  It’s not too bad though as the copied text is a relatively small portion of the articles, but it’s still annoying.

I asked for the articles to be re-written, I got them back but not enough of it was fixed…so I just figured forget it, but now I’m going to have to monitor this person’s articles a lot more from now on…

Also, right now I really only have 3 writers as one of my writers who said they were going on vacation for 2 weeks has not been in contact with me.. They agreed to do a reduced workload throughout the 2 weeks, but haven’t fully delivered(all part of the outsourcing game..gotta get used to it).

I’m now having my remaining 3 writers work on writing for new websites, no more writing for existing websites…so hopefully if they continue to pump out articles I’ll be able to throw up sites a bit faster soon…

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $79.62 – 3 CB Sniper sales…it seems like the product thats been giving me trouble has come back..I got 1 sale for it yesterday and 2 for it today.  Hopefully it continues as if not I’ll have to switch it out for another product…there’s no excuse for my sales being this low considering my # of hops for the month are around the same ballpark.
  • Hops = 124
  • Adsense = $111.91
  • Total = $191.53

BTW, it seems like my average income from Feb 1st to Feb 8th is $110.19…$110.. So my average is up from $100/day a little over 2 weeks ago.  I’m used to seeing my income go up $20 every 2 weeks, but due to me having condo stuff to take care of, it seems like it’s only gone up $10/day in the same time frame.

    I would definitely recommend an LED TV. I bought a Samsung LED for our kitchen recently. Wall mounted 32″ and the picture quality is incredible.

    Hey Mike,

    You use HG reseller hosting right? What level package do you have? Does it allow you to buy new IP addresses along the way?

    I’m thinking about upgrading to a VPS or reseller. Any advice?

    You know in Gsniper where George talks about he sometimes just uses the default WP theme? Well I initially decided to have the default WP them on all my CB snipers. But in the last 2 days ive been changing ALL those 44 I have to custom themes kinda like the one you have here and a few other different themes. My order form impression count has tripled! I think this may work out after all. Just needed to jazz things up a bit. Ill keep you posted on it.

    @Kasey Langton
    Thanks for the tip, Kasey! Good to know. Really – if you had an aff link, I’d buy a house right now. That sort of info is priceless.

    @ MikeMan:

    Fired my first writer – shot my deadline. Too bad he was a friend of mine…hm.

    Hired my second – lives in London. Thanks for the ideas, will see how many I can crank out (while I spend my time freelancing for others still!).

    No prob…ya know, Mikeman has a wealth of information on here that has really helped myself and others in their IM journey. Real people doing real testing making real money. He should charge a membership just to read the comments alone…lol

    Another question Mike,

    Have you taken any of your money and made any risks with it, such as PPC, PPV, media buying, etc? Your income seems fairly steady ($100-$150 mark), so it seems like you could fry some bigger fish, or are you waiting til you hit the $300-$400 and then diversifying?

    @Mark S

    Ya, wish I had a bit more time to work on my business these days :/

    @Nick

    Ya Nick, I think I’m going to go back and get a 55″ LED ..I just saw it side by side next to a plasma, night and day! The LED is so much brighter, the whites are whiter..

    @Lee

    I just have a $25 reseller package at Hostgator, no idea about buying new IP addresses…VPS is expensive and requires maintenance, it depends on what you need it for..

    If you’re looking to build an empire of blogs, 100, 200+, I’d go for the reseller.

    @Kasey Langton

    Nice :> ya, I never used the basic WP theme..interesting to see those results.

    lol at your 2nd comment

    @James the Just

    Ya, hiring friends can get sticky for that reason… but if works not getting done, you have to do what you have to do..

    @TJPann

    That wouldn’t be a good idea..

    Once you find something that works, that is worth it’s weight in gold!

    I’ve found a system that works and is scalable..to be at the point where you have that under your belt is HUGE…

    I have the understanding and confidence with this system I’ve created that I can continue to pump out sites and raise my income by just continuing to do what I already know works. Before I started looking around for condos/furniture(saps up a lot of time), my income was growing $20/day every 2 weeks..if it’s not broke, no need to fix it.

    I’ll probably get up to 300-400 sites before I decide to do something else..

    @ Mikeman,

    your adsense earnings per site has raised above the initial .67 cents per site per day that was calculated not too long ago. If you can get it to a dollar a day per site, thats gold for passive income!

    @Kasey Langton

    :> What I do is think in terms of executing my plan for each site and everything else takes care of itself..

    IE: build site, promote via BMD/Digg/RSS, run UAW on all sites once 30 odd sites have been built, rinse and repeat..

    Some additions to the plan are additional UAW runs on top performers and running other backlinking programs such as BLS(and soon I may test scrapebox)

    @ Mikeman
    It becomes a sense of serenity when IM becomes predictable and stays consistent. At that point its all about scalability. So Im looking over my numbers from yesterday and I have several different niche markets im in. I have one in romantic dinners, couples questions and another on commitment. I mention these cuz they skyrocketed in numbers literally overnight. Im thinking because V-Day is approaching.

    @Kasey Langton

    ya, right now it’s just a matter of me putting in the time and effort to get more sites up and backlink them, as when I do that, it’s pretty much a guarantee I’ll make more money at this point. And ya, nice, that niche for sure will see more action around this time..
