@ Edwin
I think you're right about that. There are some "big dogs" that keep an eye out. For example: Amazon, Sony, Apple, ebay, FICO <--yeah didnt know this was trademarked either but appearantly it is, and other companies that have a big internet presence seem to be the ones that keep an eye out. They actually have assigned people just to look out for this, its ludacris. But for other brands like coleman, anne klein, baby phat. These are more retail related and don't have a big online presence. Most don't even have a website for crying out loud. But anyways, more likely will slide under the radar.

I have several sites that include a brandname and the only time i ran into trouble was when i had a domainname with the word Amazon in it. I heard that Sony seems to be always on the lookout for domain names with their name but for the rest i just register the domain and I do not worry that much. But my primairy niche research is not brand related.

Altho I am the creator of an Amazon wordpress plugin I also focus on Adsense as I do find it nice to have an second source but i also find that looking at the stats I earn more with adsense per click then with Amazon.

You seem to be lucky with that, sandboxing seems to be pretty popular nowadays. Maybe its the keywords im targeting? Not really sure but it happens enough to where i needed to start finding ways around it. Most of the time it only lasts for 3 weeks. But I have a few that have not appeared yet and its been over a month. In any case, I can pretty much get around it now.

As far as product names, I know your probably right about running into problems at some point, but it may be some here some there. Ill be launching soooo many that I dont think it will make a huge impact when I lose one here and there. But again, Ill just have to test it and see how it goes.

But my theory on it is...when people go shopping and find a pair of "name brand" jeans (just for example) in a retail shop and say whoa! those are way too expensive but i REALLY want them. Then they are going to come home and look them up online and type in that "brand name" to get a better deal. And thats where ill be at...waiting to capture that crowd and send them off to amzon where most likely it will be a lot cheaper than in retail.

Hey Kasey...if you make sites on product names you will eventually run into problems, it's inevitable :/ I ran into trouble and since decided not to bother with those anymore since I'm at a point in my kw research where I can find other profitable non-brand name kw's easy enough.

BTW, when I put up my CB snipers, I also put up my content/aff links immediately and encountered no sandboxing..my sites were indexed within a week and many ranked first/second page off the bat..had great success with it.

@ James the Just
When I start with amzon, which will be in a few weeks. Ill be targeting product names as the domain name. I know this is all kinds of infringment possiblities but I launched a few of these in the past and never had a problem, so far and they have done well, thats why I have decided to go with amzon snipers. If amzon fails then I will hail to the almighty adsense.

No recommendation on software, I build everything by hand using wordpress. Then promote my sites via RSS feeds and pingfm thats about it. I use RSSbot for RSS feeds, but I dont really do anything else. By optimizing my sites on the way I launch them it pretty much will get me to page 1 or top of page 2 right away when I add the content after indexing.

If you follow Mikeman on what hes done with adsense im sure it will work with amzon but no one has done this yet (as far as we know), so its to be determined.

@ Mikeman
I think the big G is biased because of adsense. I have tried to do research on this and find out and although there are no solid answers. Many DO believe that if you have adsense on your site than you may rank higher and get more traffic.

Again, im not sure but ive heard other people say this is a common occurance. For example, I saw a video from Joel Comm where he talks about when he was testing the Yahoo network and took off adsense from one of his sites, his traffic plummeted by half. Then he took yahoo off and added back adsense and his traffic started going back up.

@ James the Just

I wait because you can pass the sandbox filters much easier that way and also rank higher right away. In case you don't know what sandboxing is...sometimes go0gle will NOT let a site rank well right away because they "sandbox" the site and you have to wait between 3 weeks to 6 months for them to trust you enough to let your site out and rank for keywords on your site. Although they will not admit to this, they also will not deny it. But after launching many sites and testing. I know it exists.

So if you launch a wordpress blog with no content. There is nothing to sandbox. Just add it after you have been indexed and it does much better in the beginning. Just my opinion, and it's only my opinion because of my personal testing and experiences. Others may have different results.

<a href="#comment-4278" rel="nofollow">@ThomasT</a>

Hey Thomas, last time I checked I hadn't seen any new searches leading to the new pages...but I'm sure in time and with more backlinks it will help..

And if anyone gets through to those pages, it's going to be through either the inner page keyword ranking for the keyword its targeting, or for it ranking for long tail variations.

<a href="#comment-4280" rel="nofollow">@Kasey Langton</a>

Ya.. I've personally found after making 150 sites that the sandbox talk and holding off on adding adsense is a bunch of nonsense. I have always put up my adsense code as soon as the site goes up...some of my sites get indexed next day, others within 3 days, others 5-7 days at the latest...but no sandboxing occurs.
