Day 27 – Site Building + End Of Month Totals!

OK, I just spent a whole lot of time today doing keyword research and I’ve now got myself about 22 keywords that I can turn into sniper sites…I’m all set to go with site creation now for the next 10-12 days.

I think I know which product I’m going to start promoting, now all I need to do is find myself a picture for my new persona and get to writing.

One other thing I did today was I decided to do some directory submissions for Site#1, I ended up using this service from the guy who made Article Post Robot: http://www.articleaware.com/linksubmission/

That’s going to be submitted to 400+ directories, will be interesting to see what comes of it…

Aside from that, it’s the end of the month and time to count up the profit for the month.  I’m going to put it here alongside what I’ve earned in the previous months so you can better see how things are progressing:

February

Net sales = $258.59 CB Sales + $66.58 Adsense = $325.17

March

Approx: 1,383 hops

29 sales/3 refunds

$530.73 CB Sales + $91.71 Adsense = $622.44 (+$297.27 over previous month)

16 sales for Site #1
4 sales for Site #2
9 sales for Site #3 (3 refunds for Site #3)

April

1,912 hops

40 sales/7 refunds

$672.19 net CB Sales ($813.81 gross) + $123.00 Adsense = $795.19 (+$172.75 over previous month)

19 sales for Site #1
7 sales for Site #2
7 sales for site #3
1 sale for site #5
5 sales for sniper sites = $100.20

May

Approx: 6,321 hops

45 sales/1 refund

($1,074.42 without refunds) $1,051.58 CB Sales + $15.00 Market Health + $89.22(Adsense) = $1158.80 (+$360.61 over previous month)

23 sales for Site #1 = $543.83
1 sale for Site #2 = $20.04
3 sales for Site #3 = $49.78 – $22.84 refund = $26.94
1 sale for Site #7 = $15.00
17 sales from various sniper sites = $417.48

I’m hoping that the next sniper sites I make have much better conversion rates so I can see an even bigger jump in income for next month :>

Earnings For Today:

  • $46.41 (1 sale for Site#1 = $26.38 and 1 sale for 1 sniper site = $20.03) BTW, this is a sale in a niche where I have only 3 sniper sites, all of which I created around the middle of this month.  The site that got this sale has a conversion ratio of 110:1.  Some days its ranked #1 on Google for it’s keyword and when it is, it brings in 10-14 hops.
  • Adsense = $4.60
  • Hops = 366
  • Total Earnings For May = $1158.80

Just a note on directory submissions, and I have nothing concrete but maybe other people have input…I bought a directory submission package off DP a few months back for a throw away domain I have loaded with PLR and UAW articles. I noticed recently that it went from a PR 1 to a PR 0. Also, a new gmail account was set up for the submissions and when I tried to log in weeks later the account had been shut down, not sure why.

I also saw a comment on WF recently saying that directory submission links were problematic, wish I could remember where. Anyway, just wanted to throw that out there to see what other people’s experiences were.

Ya Carrie, I actually remember hearing something like that..that directory submissions are not going to be as effective anymore due to changes in Google algorithms..

Oh well, I guess I’ll see what happens.

Thanks Shelly and Jen, not sure how much I’ll wind up working on my business this month as I might end up getting a job, but we’ll see..

BigMike has directory software – cheap, will be fast and easy for you to run stuff through….

A while back, I used to run my stuff through a service — but never saw a huge gain from it – but while Google may not love it, MSN or Yahoo might…so can’t hurt

Actually, it wasn’t that directory submissions were worthless but that they could be harmful. Don’t know if it is true or not, but after reading that one thread and then see a drop in PR on one of my sites I became a little concerned.

    All speculation though.

Here was one comment on WF from Angela Edwards but I know I saw another one: see #2 red text

Okay, my comments disappeared, maybe b/c I tried to post a link?

    Hi mike..
I have a question, you write “I think I know which product I’m going to start promoting, now all I need to do is find myself a picture for my new persona and get to writing.”

Do you use the same persona and image for all your blogs in the same niche?

Hope you’ve got the time to answer 🙂
BTW. made my first sale yesterday.. read on my blog if you like 😀

Deb, I’m just going to see what comes of it and if it helps I’ll try it again on a few other sites.. I don’t mind spending the money, it almost feels like free money to spend as it’s all from my IM profits.

    Thanks Lisa..

Carrie, not sure why it disappeared..I got the idea to try the directory submission from a recent WSO by XC Tang and his take on the Conduit Method..

Hey Hjalte, congrats on the first sale :> As far as the picture/persona I use, I get a new one for every ‘niche’ I go into.

Haha awesome post and stats. I like how you showed for 5 months. I did $380 july 09 and $927 august 09. Shooting for $1500-2k September 09.

I’ll probably be working on these CB sniper sites soon too. I’m doing tv shows right now.
