Day 266 – UAW

January 26th, 2010

Don’t have too much to report today I’m afraid, been too busy figuring out where to live the next 4-5 years of my life :p

I got my last 2 UAW runs done though so now everything is queued up for Adsense snipers #100-134 or so.Β  I also hired another person for 5 trial articles, so we’ll see how this resource goes..

As far as my other resources that are MIA, the one who is going away for 2 weeks has agreed to do 15 articles a week in the meantime, so I will still be getting some work from her.Β  Still haven’t heard from the one with the blackouts/Internet connectivity issues, but I have heard back from the resource who missed Friday’s work(just checked now and it looks like he just sent 3 articles my way)

As for my 4th resource, I should be getting those articles a little later..

I decided to drop that more expensive condo as I’ve now found another condo which is cheaper and just as impressive, it looks like it’s more of a hotel inside! Well, going to be seeing a few more places tomorrow, I’m trying to see as many as I can within the week that I have left before the contract is finalized, hopefully my outsourcers can help me out during this time so I can get a bit more work done.

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $11.04
  • Hops = 173
  • Adsense = $91.06 – A lot of my UAW articles went live today and it was a record high day for me in terms of Adsense impressions
  • Total = $102.10

    Hey Mike… I’ve been reading your blog for awhile just never posted a comment. I really find your whole process interesting to read. πŸ™‚

    I was wondering if you outsource your website creation or do you do all the installs and uploading of your content (ie setting up the website itself) yourself?

    If you do it yourself, how long does it take you roughly per adsense site from start to finish – from install, uploading of your content, pinging, UAW, etc.

    Also on average how long would you say it takes one of your new sites to get indexed by google? Not necessarily ranked but just indexed.

    Thanks so much for your insights and for sharing your process!

    Hi Mikeman –

    Can you please tell me if UAW requires you to have resource box links that are relevant to the article?

    I’ve started using thebestspinner.com (very nifty rewriting tool, much better than MAR in my opinion) and my UAW submissions are so quick now. I just paste the same output from thebestspinner.com into the 3 UAW article boxes, along with my huge resource box file, and I’m done…

    However, I’ve never tried submitting an article that isn’t related to my resource box links, and would like to know in your experience if they get approved.

    Thanks,
    Darren.

    Darren, I’m not Mike, but I asked him the same question a couple of weeks ago. What he says he does is make the first link in the resource box relevant to the article, and the second link can be from anything else. I’ve been doing it that way and it works great. That way I can use each article for 2 sites, and then create enough resource boxes to cover every page of both sites.

    Incidentally, thanks for the tip about Best Spinner. I just got it after watching the video. I always though Magic Article Rewriter was the best spinner, but this one is even faster and easier to use. I don’t see, though, how you could use it for UAW, though, since you have to basically submit 3 articles.

    @JR

    Hey JR, thanks man, glad you like it..

    I upload the websites myself. I use XSite Pro which contains the layouts of all my sites on my hard drive, within the program. It only takes me about 35 minutes now to create and promote each website, as long as I have the writing outsourced that is…so I don’t mind spending a little over an hour a day to get 2 websites out.

    Finding pictures for the site CAN make it 40 minutes though…the process is basically:

    -Find pictures & resize them = 5-8 min(sometimes I re-use images for diff sites in the same niche)
    -copy and paste all the text into the different pages, enter in a title/description, copy and paste adsense code in, set a channel for the adsense code..
    -edit the privacy policy / contact us
    -add an RSS Feed
    -edit the title and header
    -add analytics code
    -publish site
    -digg/submit rss feed/use bookmarking demon/ping

    so about 35-40 min.

    And about indexing..I used to look to see if my sites get indexed, but with my promotion process, they get indexed most of the time within a week..I’m so confident in my process that I no longer check if sites are indexed as it’s a waste of time!

    If you’re promoting your site properly, they WILL get indexed, no need to count the days, just get on with building more sites.

    @Darren

    I’m curious as to why this program is free…I guess they’re looking to build up a huge user database of synonyms.

    Ya, both this and Magic Article Writer are good…You see with Magic Article Rewriter, you can create a database of your own personal spun variations.. If you go through the effort of doing that, you also get 2 spins. You click one button and you spin your article with your database, then you click another button and you spin your article with MAR’s database..I’m able to get 30-40% after doing that with both databases combined, of course I need to go back in and clean it up though.

    But I may give this a shot to see how it compares..

    And ya, thanks Linda :>, Linda answered your question .. If your article is on blenders, just put in something to the effect of “In addition to [juice blenders], Bob has also written on [vacuum cleaner tubes], be sure to check those out.”

    @Linda

    Linda, here is how I create a UAW submission in under 5-10 minutes:

    1. Pick an article to rewrite.

    2. Paste the article into Best Spinner (including title), and hit “Replace Everyone’s Favorites”.

    3. Proof-read the article and make any changes required.

    4. Open UAW and select the One-Step Wizard

    5. Copy and paste the SAME Best Spinner article (including title and spin-syntax) into the fields called Version 1, Version 2, and Version 3

    6. Then hit the GENERATE button just to make sure the title and paragraphs are split correctly.

    7. Return to the UAW submission window and complete all other fields (author, categories, resource box).

    8. Submit

    I’m not too worried about uniqueness %, so this works well for me. The process will take longer if you wish to do full sentence re-writes in Best Spinner.

    The great thing about this process though, is that you can spin the article once, and UAW will accept this as your 3 versions.

    A HUGE time saver! Hope it helps.

    @Darren

    Hey Darren, thanks for sharing.

    It’s been my experience that if you don’t make each variation unique enough, you don’t get as many registered backlinks out of each UAW run…It seems doing this will give you only around 25% uniqueness rather than 30%+…how many backlinks per run do you get out of this method? (for comparison purposes, my articles are usually around 60% unique and I get 25-30 backlinks on avg).

    @Mikeman

    To be honest, I don’t really know how many backlinks I’m getting per article. My resource boxes are large, and contain links to numerous pages on 3 or 4 sites in the same niche. I also use a number of other backlinking methods, so figuring out the UAW links on specific pages is a bit of a mission.

    But you make an interesting point, and you’re probably right that I won’t get as many backlinks.

    I’ll do a test, and create a resource box that only links to one page that has zero backlinks currently. It may take a while, but I’ll report back my results.

    @Darren

    Sounds like a plan..I haven’t tested this out with UAW specifically but I have seen this happen with SENuke..the more unique the content, the better the chances the search engines will count that as a registered backlink..the question is where is the cut off point where you stop seeing a good return on # of backlinks, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35% unique etc..

    Hey thanks Mike for answering my questions. Do you go back and track your article submissions at some point to know if they are getting registered as backlinks or not? How long does it typically take for your articles to get noticed as backlinks? I guess what I’m getting at is when on average does a new site “click” for you? 2,3 – 4 weeks from start? When do you typically start seeing some revenue from a new site that google likes? I realize not all your sites end up making it (80/20 rule) but of the 20% that hit when do you typically start to see results of your efforts? I apologize if this has been asked and answered before.
