Day 242 – Adsense Sniper #112

January 2nd, 2010

Got kinda pissed off today…I was trying to add another adsense channel when I realized I hit the 200 channel limit.  I thought that I could just start using URL channels after that but the limit INCLUDES URL channels.

Now I do have a few channels I can delete, but this is within a months time going to become a REAL barrier!  Not seeing stats for sites is UNACCEPTABLE!  It annoys me because I know that Google has upgraded some people to 500 channels but that they are no longer doing it.  Basically if you need more than 200 you’re now screwed.

I tried checking the adsense forum, no help there, they basically say it can’t be done…I also tried seeing if there was a way to contact Adsense, I got caught in an endless loop!  I go to “then “, then click “continue” and wind up at some screen which says “Questions about channels? Find instant answers below.” then lists of generic answers…There is another “contact us” at the bottom of this page but that leads right back to the start.

Even if I could get in touch with them they’re not accepting requests apparently, so the only thing I can think of is I need to get a new account, can anyone else think of another idea to deal with this issue?

Anyways, in addition to that, I did queue up 6 more posts in Backlink Solutions, which means 20 backlinks each for 18 more of my adsense snipers over the next 20 days.  Just another 2-3 submissions until I reach the 1000 backlink/month limit there.

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $0
  • Hops = 126
  • Adsense = $48.47

Hey Mike, I can’t verify if this is true or not, but according to this article, google bumps up your limit from 200 to 500 when you reach the limit. http://www.amitbhawani.com/blog/google-adsense-channels/

Ya, this was back when they were doing the beta testing for this, February of last year…there are some people who after that mention that they have used up their 200 but still hadn’t gotten the upgrade, me being one of them now :/

I believe they were only doing that for a short period of time as I’ve been near the edge of the limit for some time (I came close to the limit a week ago and deleted some channels).

You can use Google Analytics to track your Adsense clicks or you can purchase a third party script such as the one at: http://www.sitesupertracker.com

Hey thanks Sylvia, Google Analytics wouldn’t work as for that you need to open up a URL channel and unfortunately that is a part of the 200 limit. This other program though is better as it will tell me if a site is getting clicks, which is better than nothing, although I won’t know how much they’re earning.

I’m starting to think if there’s no way to get Google to up my channels to 500 that I got to make new accounts every 200 websites..

Mike you can also use statcounter – it’s free and can give you info on if your sites are getting visits and where those clicks are coming from. I use it for all of my niche sites.

I use piwik. It’s open source but very slick and they keep updating the features. It won’t track your ad clicks or money of course, but they are going after Big G’s analytics. It works with both WP or Xsite and it’s real easy to install and setup sites.

Hi Mike. Are you still using UAW on a frequent basis? How effective has it been thus far for you in terms of backlinking and improving your SERPs?

Yep, gonna have to make another account. Maybe your dad or your mom or brother or someone who will never use Adsense in their life…good luck bro.

Hey Mike and Slash, thanks for the suggestions if I use up all my channels and don’t have another account by then I guess I’ll have to start using one of those, or stop site building for a bit.

Ya Henrock, UAW is a staple of my plan, I run it on every site I create…it is VERY effective for me. Right after doing a mass run on my sites, I always see some sites that weren’t earning before suddenly start popping up as having earned something in my adsense daily summary page…Also, each run I do of that generates 25-30 Yahoo backlinks. And ya, it definately helps with increasing ranking in the search engines.

Ya man…I’m going to have to look into getting this done in the next 30 days or so.

Mike one other way to get another account – if you establish an LLC or corporation (not sure what the Canadian equivalent is) you can apply for an account as a business entity.

Ya, I made my first account that way. Because I’m a contract Quality Assurance Analyst, I had to have a corporation setup, so I just used that same corporation for my IM business…I still have my personal name to use though, although I wouldn’t be able to shelter income earned in that way from taxes.
