<a href="#comment-3304" rel="nofollow">@Heimir</a>

I see, np...

<a href="#comment-3306" rel="nofollow">@Kevin</a>

Ya, you do get hundreds, but Yahoo backlinks will only show you a fraction of the true number of backlinks that you have...so despite the article going off to 700-1000 sites, only about 25-30 register in Yahoo backlinks.

As far as submitting articles with backlinks that have sites unrelated to the article...I always make sure at least 1 of the backlinks is related to the article and i have no problems..

<a href="#comment-3310" rel="nofollow">@Lisa</a>

Nice Lisa, that is a huge step!

@Kevin, I just had a problem submitting articles where the resource boxes didn't match the article. They told me they had to relate.

Also, I have two writers writing content now. I knew before that I needed to outsource and I have in the past but now it's like the light bulb went off for me. This is something I'm going to really focus on this next year. If you want to build a business that allows you TIME and MONEY then I only see outsourcing as a must have! This is exciting.

Mike when you say every run of UAW gives you 25-30 backlinks. Is it because you are doing the articles somewhat niche specific?

I thought that you would get hundreds of backlinks especially using more general categories. Is UAW giving problems for articles that are not related to the sites that you are backlinking?

Thanks Mike, I'm working on a similar plan as you. I just need a tool or software to help out with backlinks, 'cause we both know that it takes a lot of time to manually submit them all.

Ya Mikael, I'm sure the excuses are total BS...all part of the game I guess..

I've at least got 1 person working for me that's delivering good work on time and consistently though if I find I have to I'll search for more people in the same way in which I found this girl...

@Stacey, that has happened to me as well. I will normally avoid brand names and trademarks in my domains for that very reason. However when monetizing with Adsense you will find that mentioning trademarks and brand names will cause this kind of reaction. It is the name of the game and once you have tried it a couple of times you won't be as "scared". Work with them like Mike suggest and often nothing will come from it. Worst case is that you will have to delete the post(s) (unless of cause it is the entire domain that is the problem).

@Mike, you will most likely find that the people you hire come up with excuses like:

- They were in the hospital
- Someone they know was in the hospital
- They pet had an accident
- There was a family tragedy

or some similar stories.

At first I believed them but know I fire them instantly unless they have been working for me for some time. When running a serious business you can't spend time on dealing with people that lie to you (and YES they are lying in 99% of the case).

<a href="#comment-3296" rel="nofollow">@Heimir</a>

Hey, ya, UAW definitely helps...every run gives me 25-30 backlinks and I have seen my site move up in rankings although usually it's just for the singular and plural of the main keyword rather than going up in ranking for any of the inner pages.

<a href="#comment-3297" rel="nofollow">@Stacey</a>

Stacey, ya that sucks, I know the feeling... You know, I've had the same experience. I alluded to the fact that I did earlier on my blog.

I got the same spiel, minus the oath thing and faxing part.. They also asked me to respond within 5 days..What I did was I sent a response saying I was willing to cooperate with them and transfer it over to them upon providing me with the appropriate information to do so...I didn't get an answer to that e-mail.

About 2 or 3 more days went by and having not heard back from them, I just decided to point the name servers away so that the site wouldn't load... I haven't heard from them since.

<a href="#comment-3299" rel="nofollow">@Steve</a>

Hey thanks Steve, hopefully it happens soon or I will have to go back to working this part time!

Stacey, google ANTI-CYBERSQUATTING CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT - You may find out that you haven't broken any laws & this company is just trying to bully you, especially since you haven't tried to sell the domains for a "ransom" to them, nor profited in dollars or traffic. Good luck!

Mike: Just found your site recently & went through every post - very impressive. Your work ethic is incredible & surely will enable you to meet your goals. Thank you for sharing all the great tips plus your trials & tribulations to all your readers.

Hey Mike, I thought I would share an experience that may be of interest to you and your readers. I've been using brand names here and there for my xfactor sites, and to date it hasn't been a problem. This morning though, I had a nasty surprise in my email box. An email communication had been forwarded to me (because of the private registration), and a threatening legal document was attached. Basically, the law firm wants: (1) me to sign a document to admit what I did and that I am willing to work with them (2) me to fax AND certify mail the document to them (3) me to NOT cancel the registration until such a time as when they're ready for me to transfer it to them, (4) to respond in five regular days (not business days), and this is my favorite (5) to "certify under oath to MotherF***** Corporation when all business materials, signage... blah blah... have been destroyed... blah blah"

Certify under oath to a corporation? And exactly how am I supposed to do that? Whip out a bible, place my right hand on it, keep a straight face and recite some BS oath of allegiance?

Also, they state in the letter that I cannot just cancel the registration to satisfy them. So basically, what they're saying is because I registered a variation of their client company name, I now am obligated to do all the aforementioned steps above.

The irony is that although I registered the dot net and dot org names that pissed them off, I considered them not viable a long time ago. They never received any content, and were never live at any point in time.

I think we should just be able to "surrender" the domain name and that's that. No signing guilt documents, no holding the registration for them, no faxing and certified mail obligation and definitely no oath of allegiance.

If any of your readers are in the law business, maybe they can chime in because I really want to know what I am obligated to do under the law. Certainly I did not cause them any harm as no content ever went live. I would like to just cancel the registration (not sure how to do that), and be done with it. I don't think the big boys have any right to obligate me to do anything other than surrender what is (arguably) theirs: the domain name. Since I found it in the public pool, I should be able to just cancel it and return it there. I think that's good enough.

Any thoughts, anyone?
