Day 194 – AS#66 + The Secret To High Earning Adsense Sites

November 15th, 2009

Hhaha! This girls good.

I’ve figured out the secret to attaining those sniper adsense sites that seem to defy all the rest by earning $15, $20 or even more in 1 day..

Normally I’ve been going after keywords that in Spyfu have a minimum of around $0.45-0.50 or in the Google Keyword Research Tool show up with a CPC of $1.50-$3.00…Somewhat recently though I decided to go after a niche that is a little more competitive..

This is a niche where almost all the keywords have a CPC of $4-10 and almost all the keywords in Micro Niche Finder show up with a red SOC.. You know, one of those big adsense niches that is saturated like Credit Cards, Insurance, Home Security etc…

Well, this specific keyword I went after had a yellow SOC that was around 130, CPC of $3.75, Spyfu of $0.90 – $4.30….(normally in Spyfu, I see values more like $0.50 – $2.50 or $2).

Well, low and behold I ended up ranking for this on the front page, #8…

When I checked my total adsense income in the morning around 10-11am, it was around $6…but I checked it not even 1 hour later and BOOM, it was $24 all of a sudden, and that site that I mentioned earlier was the culprit!

Now it may not be as easy to find good keywords with a CPC of $3.75+ or a Spyfu of $1-$4 or more, but if you luck up on some of these keywords and start ranking well for them, your income can take off in the same way as it did here with me.

Now, chances are that site is not always going to perform like that, but the more of these high CPC type sites you have out there, the greater the chance that you’ll see this on a regular basis.Β  I’m now changing my niche selection criteria for my next few sites to look for higher CPC keywords to see if I can duplicate this again…I went ahead and did some research and found a few more sites I can make into adsense snipers.Β  The only caveat with these is that the competition for these keywords is a bit higher and odds of ranking lower (ie: there are fewer openings on page 1, maybe only 2 PR 0’s to overtake amongst a sea of PR 3’s for example).

In addition to all that, while I wait for my purchased domains to come in, I spent some time playing around with WP Mage’s Keyword Mage tool to gather up seed words to turn into posts…trying to familiarize myself with the process.

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $67.57 – 3 CB sniper sales
  • Hops = 151(new) / 291(old analytics)
  • Adsense = $47.68

So you have a keyword focused domain, write about 5 posts per site, send Ezines to each post and homepage (I believe you wrote 5 Ezines a piece?), used SENuke for linkwheeling with Web 2.0 and used UAW submissions to link to each post (don’t remember the amount of submission.

Am I missing something here? LOL I know you use MNF to find your micro niches, so I may need to look into that software. I currently use Market Samurai and its good for tons of keyword suggestions, but sometimes it doesnt help me enough to get those smaller niches.

Ya Dave…I’ve run SENuke(w/ linkwheeling) some 25 odd times(15 Web 2.0 sites each run) to the inner pages of over 7 domains then done 10 UAW submissions which went out to 20 inner pages of 10 different sites(dripped at a rate of 40 submissions a day)…this was done to compare and contrast the results from both.

In addition to that though, I’ve done 10 UAW submissions building backlinks to 20 of my adsense sniper MAIN domains(dripped at a rate of 7 submissions a day).. Most, but not all of the sites that have had an SENuke or inner page UAW run have had the main domain backlinked by UAW as well.

Eventually I’m going to run UAW on the base domain of all of my sites at least once and depending upon the results I see from UAW on the inner pages, I will figure out if that’s the way I’m going to rank my inner pages or if I’ll use some other method.

Ya I’ve been using MNF as was suggested by XFactor in his adsense book, it’s been working well for me.

I think you have come up with some good insights Mikeman and it falls it line with what I always follow – ‘that you should zig when everybody else is zagging’.

While everybody goes for the low SOC keywords…the real money is in the big niches with lots of high paying advertisers. There is lots of low hanging fruit in those niches, where the SOC may indeed be yellow or red. (My secret theory is that Micro Niche Finder was created by an adsense super-affiliate who wanted to divert newbies away from the best keywords by creating the concept of SOC, and the traffic light color system…LOL)

In light of this zigging while everybody else is zagging, have you ever tried pumping backlinks to your inner pages only (none to the homepage) using only your inner page main keywords as anchor text (ie. with no variations)? πŸ™‚

haha, well the thing about going after these keywords is I’m not as certain as I would be otherwise regarding how the sites will rank due to the increased competition…might need to spend more time backlinking them..

I’ve never tired building backlinks only to the inner pages…but when I build backlinks to my inner pages my sites at the very least have RSS feeds/bookmarking and a Digg done on them. After that, the lowest amount of promotion I’ve had on my homepage before doing UAW on the inner pages is 3 ezines.

And about the variations, I always add a bit of variation, you don’t want all the backlinks with the same anchor text..

Thus far though I’ve been kinda disappointed with the UAW run on my inner pages…almost all of them are done and I’m not seeing anything from it.

Pay attention to content not to keywords. Even with not so high CPC you can make a lot with some decent traffic.

I think its all a question of traffic, CTR and CPC. And as you say, the new keywords you are targeting are high traffic and high CPC. Even with lower CTR, they will earn you much more than low traffic keywords, that also have a lower CPC.

Looking forward to hear more about the mage program. I was considering buying it when I saw George’s mail, but didnt for a few reasons. Too pricey as I’m on a budget right now, and its quite a risk if you dont have time to go 100% in, like spending time on buying the right domains and doing the right research.

    @Christian Jessen

Thing is, even traffic isn’t as important as you think, you don’t need many clicks to have your income explode upwards out of nowhere if you pick a good enough CPC kw, it just happened again to me today(although I can’t disclose the # of clicks, it is low)..

I can give you my impressions of the Mage program at this point, but for a real in-depth review, that will only come in a month or two when I start earning with it..by then it’s likely to have already launched and closed down.

I can tell you right now that after reading all the material and videos and reading the forum front to back, I am pretty excited about this method and see it as a sure way for me to add to my bottom line a lot faster than I have with other methods(due to it being BH or GH if you will…I’ve already bought up 19 preowned domains @ $13 each just waiting for them to be released to me so I can start building…

But ya, if you’re on a budget, going for something like this can be costly, you’ll need $$ for the product and for all the domains later.
