Day 193 – Adsense Sniper #65 + LONG Post

November 14th, 2009

It seems like I need to rework my schedule…I was planning on getting 2 sites done today but only got around to getting 1 done.  Reason being that around 2am that the “Domain Mage” $5 expired domain listings refreshed and I had to quickly buy up some good looking domains before everyone else did…

Man, those things go so fast it’s ridiculous, twice I was trying to buy a domain and it failed because someone else bought it before I could!

It seems like with the listing they have there I can only get around to registering 3 domains per day….but I stumbled onto something which can change all that, a site I knew about before but just now rediscovered, “Freshdrop.net”.

Using that free tool I can search through many thousands of domains, many of which are $5..this basically ups the # of domains I can develop each day significantly!  Noone else on the forum there is talking about this site for some reason, they all mention paid domain tools instead, I guess they’re trying to just get commissions or something as there are aff links stuck in there…I hate that crap.

So…I still got to wait ’till the 18th for my first site to come under my control before I can start creating sites and get the hang of this thing…something tells me that if I went all out with this, I might end up making too much money in a short period of time…and as crazy as that sounds, that could get me some negative attention from EPN.

There are a few people on the WordPress Mage forum that have made quite a bit of money with this already…one guy was making $60/day off of I believe 40-50 sites or so, and another girl was making 2k/month.

By one person’s account(the guy who made $60/day, you see a trickling of income around week 3, then some nice income by week 5 and by week 9 it’s solid.

Right now my main focus is Adsense, however at some point I may shift a bit more over to this…

As far as Adsense is concerned..I’ve noticed that in 3 of the last 4 days, I’ve made over $40…Today I made $43.19, yesterday $45.26, day before that $29.19, before that, $48.16.  I looked at all the high earning sites for that day and noticed that they were all now sitting at either position #1 or #2…apparently this increase in income is due to more sites being #1..

The other funny thing about it is that 2 of the sites only had 3 Ezine Articles as backlinks, yet they still managed to hit #1.  I’m realizing that for some of these keywords, time is mostly playing a role in the keywords crawling up the 1st page.  I still do think that I can boost some of my sites up further though if I start doing some backlinking to them, either through UAW or Ezines..

Now as far as the inner pages of my adsense sites ranking due to those UAW runs…I’m not seeing it happen.  A bunch of the UAW runs are ending around the 15th-17th of this month(I ran it on 20 inner pages), but nothing is ranking on page 1 at this time…I have seen some improvement on some pages ..for instance,  rather than sites ranking #50-80 or so, I now have some pages ranking #20-30, but still, that’s not page 1 rankings…frustrating…I know if those started ranking the money would really start pouring in.

Oh ya, today I also got shared hosting at another hosting provider for setting up my WordPress Mage sites..I ended up paying around $107 for 3 years.  It’s funny, after doing this, I had a mental shift in my mind.  Before I was not thinking about the potential of having over say 300 websites..I didn’t even realize I had this block in my head, but now I’m realizing it was because having too many sites on 1 hosting account left me a bit uneasy.

However, having 300 on one account, and 100 on another that only costs $107 for 3 years…I can easily see myself moving up to 1,000+ sites at some point in the future if I just continue at this pace!  It’s a crazy mental shift and it took setting up hosting at 2 different places to reach it, but I think it is one of those critical mind shifts that you need to make in this game.

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $25.04
  • Hops = 140(new) / 294(old analytics) – I have a suspicion that the lower hops and CB sales lately are due to increased competition for my sites..I did a quick search and noticed new sniper sites, but I don’t have the time to go there and work on that, got to keep focusing on adsense/WP Mage.
  • Adsense = $43.19

BTW I thought I’d just include this here, it’s a screenshot I had pasted together of my income over the last 2 months to today, might give you some perspective rather than just seeing them individually day by day(Photobucket seems to have lowered the quality on it because it was too big, but the numers I’m talking about down there are 66 & 30..I believe I did another 20 after all that, but don’t remember when):

    It’s great to see your progress over the last two months, you’re right it does put it in perspective. I can’t even imagine having as many sites as you’re imagining – but I am so sure you’re going to be meeting your goals sometime soon 😉

    Thats some great and growing numbers Mike – looks good.

    In fact I just ran the numbers on your last ten days and it averages $37.46 per day. …or $1123 per month from just Adsense….thats $13,475 per year if it holds and even more if it grows.

    always meant to ask you, have you noticed any difference in your site rankings if they are a .COM vs .NET or .ORG or .INFO? …just curious.

    @Bruce

    Oh I’m looking to get those numbers up lot more than that, need to get them up to $100/day or so, so that plus my CB will yield me 4-4.5k/month.

    About .infos, those don’t rank well at all out the gate, but the .com/net/org all rank about the same when you’re picking them out to match your target keyword exactly…As long as you’re doing that they are all on equal ground I’ve found.

    Those are good numbers. Adsense is not a big revenue stream for me. I do much better with commission sales. Keep up the good work.

    @Ralph

    Hey, thanks Ralph, it can be if you work at it long and hard enough.

    Hey Mike,

    It seems you got your big jump when you submitted 66 ezines and then so on. If it had such a huge impact as it seems, why don’t you do big batch submissions like that anymore?

    It seems like im stuck at the 3 to 5 dollar level everyday and I’m thinking of doing a huge ezine batch submission like you did.

    Thanks
    Chris

    @Chris

    Hey Chris..

    Ya, at times it seems to have helped, other times you can’t really say if it has or not..

    right now I’m moving more towards automating my business, as such, I’d rather do UAW submissions and outsource backlinking instead.
