Day 181 – Adsense Sniper #46-48

November 2nd, 2009

Got another 3 adsense snipers done today, man, is it draining…

Getting 2 done a day is fine, but 3 a day really drains you.  At least with the way I’m doing them.  With my adsense snipers I spend quite a bit more time writing up my content to ensure that it is quality, and because I have to research on niches I don’t know too much about and also write reviews on products I’ve never heard of, that all takes time.  It probably takes me 1 1/2 or at times 2 hours to research and write the content for a site and another hour to put it up.

And because I don’t work straight and take breaks, the whole thing can take 11-12 hours for 3 sites.

Well I’m still going to keep at it, I’m confident as long as I can find some good niche keywords to attack that I’ll see a nice increase in my income when I hit 100-130 of these sites.  I’m already seeing some income from some of the newer sites, although the sites aren’t ranking, I think the traffic is coming from either my RSS feeds ranking or my Diggs..

BTW, when I developed the other top level domain for a high earning site that dropped off the map, it got indexed but didn’t end up ranking at all..which is strange.  When I developed the first site it ranked #2 the first day..

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $41.53 – 2 sniper sales
  • Hops = 236(new) / 408(old analytics)
  • Adsense = $30.24

    hi mike, can i ask why you’re concentrating on the adsense snipers atm? i was doing some calcs and even with terrible conversion rates i would have thought the CB snipers would bring in more per month? You’ve obviously got lots of both so i was wondering if the adsense ones are going to pay off more in the long-term?

    Hey Mike, I feel you man, take a break and don’t burn out! By the way, how long does it take you to see ezine article link juice? It’s been about 2 weeks on my sites, and I haven’t noticed a difference in the serps.

    @adam

    This reminds me of my competitive gaming days. There were a group of people playing the real time strategy game “Starcraft” who would talk about what would happen in various match ups but did not develop enough gaming experience to see how things actually were. They were said to be engaging in “Theorycraft”. Don’t do this.

    In IM, it’s the same, the only way to know how it is is to test it out for yourself. The fact is in my experience, adsense snipers are turning out to be 2-3x as profitable as CB snipers.

    Yes, it is claimed you can earn $200-300 a site with GS, however it’s been my experience with over 100 CB snipers that that is FAR from the norm. You’ll have a bunch of sites that earn nothing, then sites that earn 1 sale every other month, then sites that earn 1 sale every month, then a chunk that earn 2-3 sales a month..Rarely you’ll get sites that do exceptional and have 3+/month.

    That’s the reality of the system that not many people realize, but would if they went out and built 100 sites of their own.

    I also find it easier to find product keywords for adsense snipers over keywords for CB snipers..

    I may return in the future to CB snipers though to further diversify.

    @Ron

    Haha, I wish I could take a break, I haven’t taken a break for almost 1 year now, been working daily ever since a bit before Christmas of last year. I can’t though, not until I hit 4k/month..

    About Ezines, there was one time I did a huge chunk of ezine submissions and I saw my income spike to $40 for the day soon after…and thereafter my income remained at $20+/day opposed to $5-8/day…

    However that hasn’t happened since.

    I don’t bother waiting to see if the link juice takes effect, you’ll be waiting forever…backlinks take time to start working, I just saw a webinar with the creator of SENuke where he said you should be waiting up to 2 months to see the results from your SENuke runs for instance…

    So don’t wait around…just focus on keeping on putting in the work, keep on following your backlinking plan…

    In my case, I got tired of waiting for results and just decided to switch over to full on site production, which yields the fastest results…I’ll go back to it hard later once I’ve reached a full time income…but if you’re getting impatient, you might want to consider doing the same.

    Hey Mike,

    The only problem with Adsense snipers is that you are running the risk of account ban with Google. Now, it has happened with people who never did anything wrong but if some nerd was to click on one of your websites like crazy, you will see your adsense earnings disappear.

    What do you think about that?

    Thanks,
    ms

    @Mark

    Yup, don’t think much of it. Eventually I’ll install an “adsense click protector” to prevent people from clickbombing(there are several programs out there for this)…other than that, you just follow the rules best you can and don’t worry about what’s not in your control.

    You can lose your job tomorrow too, there are risks in pretty much anything, just don’t put all your eggs in 1 basket, or if you do, be comfortable with it.
