Day 180 – October Totals + Adsense Sniper #44&45

November 1st, 2009

Today I got another 2 adsense snipers done and I also did a bit of keyword research.  I found a slew of keywords I might be able to take which are all product name keywords again, hate that this is all that I’m finding…

A lot of the ones I’ve been finding lately I’ve had to dip into the red zone, ie: keywords that have a red SOC in Micro Niche Finder but low enough 1st page competition that I think I can rank for.  I’ll try a few of these and see what happens.

The other problem with this is all these keywords are for the same brand name company..ex: black and decker sander, black and decker drill, black and decker band saw etc…

You might be able to get away with 1 or 2 of those, but if you put up 8 sites on 1 company name, well, it’s probably pushing your luck.

So anyways, from now on the plan is to put up 2-3 adsense snipers each and every day.  If I put up a minimum of 2 a day, in the next month that is 60 new sites which will give me 105 adsense snipers…another month and that would be 165.  Now that’s all hypothetical, I’m probably going to stop and do some backlinking in there and who knows, if the UAW submissions start working out in a big way, I may switch gears in that direction.

BTW, those 10 UAW submissions I made for the inner pages of my sites, they’ve all gone live at 40/day, will be interesting to see what develops and if adsense income increases (today I made $17.41 so no change yet), btw on the topic of totals for the day, today I didn’t make any CB sales, however check out my monthly totals for October:

Ebay = $29.87 ($1.99 last month)
Adsense = $751.44 ($240.68 last month) + $510.76 increase
CB = $1,575.73 GROSS
CB = $1,534.01 NET ($1308.07 last month)
CB = 6,257hops(new analytics) / ~12,900 hops old analytics ( 8,300 hops last month – new analytics)
CB = 69 sales, 67 net sales, 2 refunds($41.72) (65 sales, 6 refunds $137.53 last month)

Grand Total For October = $2315.32 US / $2,494.53 CAN (I’m from Toronto, so its more money for me 🙂 )

This is an increase of $762.58 over last month…Here  is how things have been progressing over the last few months:

Jan = $301.14
Feb = $325.17
Mar = $622.44
April = $795.19
May =
June = $1,874.12
July =
Aug = $1,683.66
Sept = $1,552.74
Oct = $2,315.32

Need to increase that another $1,685 in the next 2 months…hopefully going crazy with site building is what will do it.

    Good job Mike. You should reach your goal
    by the end of the year. That will be from
    $300/mo to $4,000/mo in one year. Very

    Hey Mike – you say that you live in Toronto: how good can you live there with ~3000$ per month? Just a curiosity 🙂

    Hey Mike,

    How many websites do you have total now?

  4. November 1st, 2009 at 11:03 | #4

    Awesome! Do you have any adsense sites that do better than the others or is it spread out among them?

    @Peter (pacecom)

    Hey, thanks Pete :>

    Toronto is an expensive place to live in and you wouldn’t be able to live all that well with 3k/month. My profession pays significantly more than that and I’ve been able to accumulate a large amount of money in my bank account as a buffer though.

    Hey Todd, check this: http://mikeiser.com/day-177-6-uaw-submissions-inner-page-is-ranked/comment-page-1#comment-2367

    Sara, it’s pretty much the 80/20 rule, I’m making 80% of my income out of 20% of my sites. Not sure of the exact ratio though, but its something like that. I have a handful of consistently high earners, and I have about 2-3 other high earners that have dropped out of the ranking.

    I then have a ton of middle ground sites that earn a few bucks a day, sometimes they earn, other days they don’t…Then there are the stragglers.

    Good going there Mikeman 🙂

    I have some brand name sites as well. My thinking is as long as there is not some general ban from Google about using brand names in the URL, I feel that as long as we are not competing with the company itself, it should be OK.

    If the Black and Decker company in your example, is selling the product from their own site, they probably do not want to pay for clicks when their potential customer ends up on YOUR site, but if their products are sold through affiliates or retailers, then you are indeed helping the company by setting up sites with their name.

    Just in MY thinking anyway…

    Also, not intending to look like the official site is also probably helpful…

    Hey thanks Evita..Well, although using a company’s trademark to profit from is an issue, you can only hope that that’s how they would think and that they have better things to do than go after sites that are making $2-5/day.

    Hi Mike,

    I have been following your blog regularly. It is good and inspiring to see someone put in effort and share it publicly. Sharing failure requires courage and u seem to have tonnes of that.
    I have a question though. I have read on a forum a guy is making 200 $ a day with adsense using john’s course and that guy is using info domains. Also, what is your expense on hosting and domain name registration.

    Hey, thanks hun.. About the hosting, I use Namecheap and spend about $8.81 a domain name…I like to think of it as $10/domain in my head though, it’s a lot easier. There are places for cheaper domains but I’m comfortable with these guys, they have great live support and I use their search to look for/register domain names in 1 go, which is convenient.

    BTW, I’d be interested in seeing this story and I’m sure others would too, where is it?

    Be careful of using product names in your domain. There is a guy on John’s forum who received a C&D email from Black and Decker a few days ago.

    Yea, this is precisely why I am not willing to bother with product names. I may end up earning less money than those guys but I would rather play it safe then to have to pay later! 🙂

    Damn, thanks for that Kev…it’s funny how I mentioned B&D off the top of my head and here they are with the cease and desist for this guys site.

    well, this may slow down my site creation a bit, I’m going to have to spend some time looking for keywords that aren’t product names because right now that’s all I have..I really don’t want to get off schedule though, I may press my luck..

    Mike, I hope putting any adsense on sites that you are promoting clickbank and other products. In fact, building a site around adsense really isn’t worth it. Remember that George said he only has 48 sites which bring him $16,000 per month and 80% of that is clickbank. You are aiming for 160+ sites and you are only at around $3,000 per month. $700 of that is from adsense. This tells me that you are losing a LOT of traffic to adsense, which is why I never use adsense.

    Adsense is a thing of the past. With PPC, you can make $1,000 per day with a little bit of training. With Google Sniper (no adsense), you can easily make $500-$1000 per day with around 50 sites.

    I suggest you stop wasting your time with adsense and start focusing on the most important part of traffic brokering: converting traffic into sales. Don’t let your traffic leave. It’s costing you a ton of money.

    Wow I can’t type. I meant to say “I hope you’re NOT putting any adsense on sites that you are promoting clickbank and other affiliate/CPA offers.

    Jeff, read up on XFactor’s course on the WF to find out what it is I’m doing with adsense.

    And regarding GS profitability, see this:

    Care to share how you are making your money? Seem you have more experience in this and could help us out?

    How much are you making per site? How many sites do you have? How are you monetizing them?

    It would be helpful to know HOW instead of just being told what is wrong, know what I mean?
