Day 176 – Did 4 UAW Submissions

October 28th, 2009

Interesting technology that reads peoples minds.. a bit from 60 minutes.

Didn’t quite get as much work as I had liked to done today, I’ll have to do the other 6 UAW submissions I had planned tomorrow…

Pretty much all of my UAW articles are now done over at Human Rewriter, they were backlogged 11-14 days.. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how best to do these UAW submissions.  Jeff, if you’re reading this, I took a lot of what you had said into account seeing as how what you’re doing has yielded good results for you…so this is what I came up with:

I created 256 resource boxes with 4 variations on the backlink text…with the way UAW works, I ended up getting my main keyword in there 56% of the time.  I also submitted these at a rate of 40/day as you had mentioned.  1 of the links in the article is going to 1 inner page of the site and the other link is going to another inner page on the same site.  So basically, I will be getting 80 links to these sites each day.

Now, not all of these submissions are going out to the same # of directories at this rate..  Some of them will go through around 400, while others 600-700.  This leaves me with the backlinking ranging from 11-17 days.

Although I have the articles to build backlinks to all 4 inner pages of 10 of my sites, I’m only going to be making 1 UAW submission per site at first, otherwise instead of me getting 80 links/day per site, I’d be getting 160…

Anyways, hope this thing works out.

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $50.40
  • Hops = 148(new) / 443(old)
  • Adsense = $33.74

    Mike, definitely reading this. Glad to see you’re giving it a shot and interested to see if it works out well for you too.

    One thing that I noticed is that the number of directories yours are going out to seems a little low. Generally, mine will range anywhere from at least 850, all the way up to 1,600 or more sometimes. I think you’ll see a pop for some of these keywords either way, but I usually get 3-5 week’s worth of backlinks at the 40/day, giving me a little more longevity at that pace.

    Since you’re writing about general niches, I have to figure you could probably reach more categories if you listed them. Are you just trying to keep it really narrow and defined? If not, I bet you could get away with listing more keywords/categories to up the submission quantities.

    Either way, I’m sure you’ll notice a pop with respect to some of the keywords.

    I’ve been trying out a new strategy for my last few sites. Submitting two UAW articles for each site (each one links to two inner pages), and then just five eza submissions, all just linking to my main domain, at a rate of one per day after the site’s launch. I’d be pretty psyched if it worked out, as it cuts down on the amount of work per site that I was doing before this by about 40%. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

    @Jeff

    Jeff, thanks for the input man.

    Before UAW started becoming more stringent, they used to automatically send your article out to many more directories, 800+ automatically usually.. Since they started getting more concerned about quality though, they seem to have taken that capability away and the only way to inflate it is by sticking in all those category keywords yourself…

    I never used to bother with that since the button to calculate the # of directories being submitted to always took so long to update, and sometimes it didn’t update at all, but now it seems like they fixed it.

    I just went back in and added more keywords and the 4 submissions are now going to 648,872,850 & 1423 directories..nice

    To get 1k, 1.2k+ though you have to submit your article to 2 large categories, which at some times for your article can be a stretch. Article directories can decide no longer to publish your articles if you abuse this which is why I didn’t do it for all my submissions.

    I haven’t been writing about general niches here as these were outsourced, I got on topic articles for them to re-write. Now that they’re being more stringent, it would be best not to take chances.

    BTW, how are your submissions going? 2 UAW submissions to 1 new site at 40/day seems risky, I’d be interested to know how that turns out…

    Nice that you got the directories up. I know they’ll never go to all of them, but we probably don’t want that many backlinks anyway because it could raise a flag.

    I’ve found that one submission will normally get me about 25 “registered” backlinks per page when all is said and done – which is exactly why I don’t think there’s anything wrong with going at 40 per day. It really just amounts to 1-2 backlinks a day. As to whether that’s enough to permanently rank for something is another question and the answer is probably no.

    But…all of my highest traffic sites are sites where I did UAW submissions for the site’s pages, and they were all generally done at a rate of 30-50 per day.

    One thing that it looks like both of us have learned is that ezinearticles submissions for our inner pages don’t seem to do much at all, so I think the downside is limited.

    So I don’t know how long each inner page will stay ranking like this for and if it’ll rise or fall, but what I do know is that every single inner page that I have ranking on the first page of results are for is a page that I did a UAW submission for.

    I’m taking a 1-2 week break from Adsense. I found a Clickbank product that’s converting really well for one site, so I’m gonna spend the next two weeks building a bunch of sites in that niche, at which point I’ll go back to the Adsense sites after that since I’m happy with my progress.

    Hopefully the UAW submissions will get some new sites ranking and bring my earnings up while that happens.

    I think my last comment went to your spam folder for some reason.

    @Jeff

    Ya it did go to spam, not sure why..

    I’ve found the same, that 1 submission usually gets around 25-30 backlinks, although that’s of course not your real total number of backlinks, which is going to be much more.

    As far as permanently ranking something…you can never count on something permanently ranking, although you can be sure that your site’s rankings have stabilized. There are certain things that can overthrow that stability though like new competition or building additional backlinks.

    But really, I think that whatever pages you got ranking on page 1, you’re not going to have to worry about, because if the competition is really low, which it probably is, they should remain there.

    I haven’t touched my CB snipers after doing 1 UAW run on a good chunk of them and they’re all still ranking on page 1 no problem…
