Day 167 – Adsense Sniper #35 & 36

October 19th, 2009

500 impressions, in 2 minutes..

Today I got 2 more adsense snipers written up and uploaded…I have 10 more sites to create now based on the 10 domains left over from what I registered yesterday…that will take me up to 46 Adsense snipers total…

That should be done next Saturday or Sunday if I keep putting 2 a day up, at which point it will be the 24th-25th…I want to get some work put in with SENuke before the month is up though and get my money’s worth, so I’ll probably spend the last week there doing SENuke runs and Ezine submissions as well.

Hopefully the UAW articles do the trick in getting the inner pages ranked…I’ll be comparing the results I get out of that vs. running SENuke, see which one works out better…

Oh…I wanted to mention something…as I was going through all the domains I had previously written down as possible targets, I noticed that 2 of them had already been taken when I decided to come around to registering them…I checked both of them and they were both XFactor sites ..Β  Whats more…one of the guys is ranking in the middle of page 1 for a keyword that is probably netting him $2-3/day right now :/

People are moving on this thing like crazy…if you see a good domain, snatch it up before someone else does.

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $117.41 – 3 sniper sales + 1 sale for Site #1 and Site #3(my authority sites)Β  I used to see days $100 or over around 3x every 15 days, now this is the first I’ve seen in 15 days.Β  I might take a day out to switch out my now poorly performing product for another one sometime soon..
  • Hops = 183(new) / 369(old analytics)
  • Adsense = $23.36 (earnings were probably down today and yesterday because it’s the weekend)

    Hey Mike,

That’s funny that you mention that about the domain thing, I actually had that happen to me. It was one I had written down as a “possible”, and since I’m trying to pump out sits right now, I’m revisiting my list. Same exact thing, it’s already taken, and the person has the beginnings of an xfactor site up.

I really, REALLY wish that John didn’t open his ebook up to affiliate sales. That just means more people pushing it out there for more people to see, and more people that will jump on it. I wish it was just left as the WF post and sold to people just from there. That would have been enough. πŸ™ It’s funny, but I wonder how this is going to affect how much John himself makes. I know that he had to make a good amount of money from selling the ebook.. but was it really worth all of the attention and competition he’s getting himself now? I figure he probably made about 3 months worth of adsense earnings from the sale of his book and forum.. was that worth it in the end? Meh.. doesn’t matter I guess. Just wish less people knew about it and there was less competition.

Also, I’d just like to throw a thanks out to Sara from NoteWorthyTips – that’s how I found your site.

I’m interested to see your comparison of UAW and SEnuke. That sucks that UAW was rejecting articles because the sites being linked to in the author’s resource box didn’t match the article. I was considering it, but if they’re going to do that, I’ll just stick to SEnuke and link to whatever I want to. πŸ™‚

How many pages do you make for each site Mike? 5? (main page plus 4 more)..? That’s what I’ve got for my first site, and what I was planning on writing for the rest. I figure If I have any sites that are standing out from the crowd I can go and write more for them if need be. Not sure on that though.. if it’s doing well, why mess with it? haha

Alright, coffee then back to work for me πŸ™‚

Totally can relate to your missing out on those two domains. Had that happen to me on one domain back in September. I found a good one late at night, then decided I would register the name the following morning. I wake up to find out that someone had registered it while I slept. I’m new to the whole thing and I was feeling so down about getting the domain pulled from right under my nose that my friend tried to cheer me up by saying that he would senuke the other guy out of existence before he even gets indexed. Naturally I told him to leave it alone. No bad deed goes unpunished and I don’t want any negative karma hanging around.

Today I found a rather low search volume keyword (way under 3000), but the cpc was very attractive, at over $5. So I figured what the heck. MNF showed green and the kicker was that the dot com TLD was available. I almost fainted. That just doesn’t happen anymore. Needless to say, I registered that puppy immediately.

I wish I could push out 2 per day as you’ve been doing. Right now, the best I could do is about one per day if I really go all out.

Well, the thing is even though this system is out there and being implemented by so many people, there still really are so many keywords out there to take, I’ve found several niches which seem untouched by any person looking to build a sniper site… you’re just going to have to do a lot more research to find the obscure yet profitable niches.

Also, if you can get your inner pages ranking for the terms under 1k/month searches, there are tons of keywords to be had.

UAW is still an extremely powerful tool, especially since it automates the backlink building once you make a submission, you can drip out the articles over time..

As for how many pages I make, each site has 5 pages…I immediately post up 3 and ping them, then I release the 4th page the following day, and the 5th the day after that. I’m not looking to write any more until I can come up with an effective system to get the inner pages ranking fast.

Ya that really sucks…you’ve got to accept it as part of the game and compensate by doing a massive amount of keyword research…if you do that, you’ll find a ton more keywords to more than make up for it.

Just so you know, the only time I went after anything under 3k searches, it was 1.6k and the CPC was $17…that is now a solid earner for me, but I would never go for something 1.6k/month with a CPC a little over $5…there are much better keywords out there to use as your main site, best to just do more keyword research until you find them…don’t hesitate to spend even a whole day on research if you have to, it’s the most important part and the one which most people don’t spend enough time on…Look for obscure niches..

And doing 1 a day is great…once you get good at this, researching and writing will take you between 1 1/2 – 2 hours(longer depending on the complexity of the niche) and posting the site up/submitting bookmarks/rss/diggs etc.. 1 hour.

    Lol, thanks Sara

Mike, definitely spend the time on UAW. It’s tedious and really annoying, but I’m in the middle of going through all 25+ of my sites and doing a UAW submission for every inner page. Why? Because it’s been a month since I’ve started putting these sites up and my rank tracker in MS shows that every single inner page of mine that has a top 10 ranking is one that I did a UAW submission for – without exception.

I can’t say that every page I’ve done for UAW is ranking top 10, but hopefully that’ll change over time. What I do know is that it definitely works for the inner pages. I go at a faster pace with submissions than you do, because I’ve found that when I do 20/day and less, it simply doesn’t give my pages a boost. I’d recommend at least 40. I’ll generally do 35 to 50, depending on how many directories it’ll submit to.

My goal is to get it so that I have backlinks being picked up pretty steadily for at least 30 days. I think the slowing link velocity after that MIGHT weaken the strength of these links, but I have one site (my oldest one) where it doesn’t seem to be an issue since these terms aren’t really too competitive to begin with.

Spin your titles, use different author names, and mix up your anchor text with different variations for your links (but keeping ~50% of them targeted to your intended anchor text) and I think you’ll begin to see some results on your inner pages within a week.

This is all a work in progress of course and I’m bound to learn more, but I see that using UAW like this can definitely get these pages ranking for now at least.

I’m spending the next 2-3 days doing a targeted 57 UAW submissions and I’m dreading the rewrites and submissions – but I know it’ll boost my site’s earnings nicely.

Did you register your domains to goddady? They maybe tasting your domains. Great work btw and keep going!

Jeff, thanks man for sharing your stats there..I’ll be keeping it in mind when I do my submissions. I’ve just found out that some of my earners are doing the Google dance and that’s why I’ve seen a drop in earnings for adsense..no worries, it will bounce back.

But ya, having all 4 of the inner pages going at 40/day would be excessive, but I’ll play around and see what happens once I get my outsourced articles back.

2-3 days for 57 UAW submissions is crazy man! (or did you mean weeks?)

Hey Roro, I registered with Namecheap, but I’m not sure what you mean…

Nah, I did mean 2-3 days, haha. It’s really too boring…but I figure doing this will bring a lot more of the pages I’ve built to page 1, which would give a much bigger boost to my earnings than building a few extra sites from now through Wednesday will. I might go crazy with all these rewrites…they really suck. I’ll be happy when I see all these new pages ranking though.

I know that 40/day sounds like a lot, but UAW actually recommends 50. I’ve found that the 10/day simply doesn’t give me enough momentum (at least not during the first 30+ days) to make any kind of a jump in rankings for my inner pages. So even if it does work, it takes me longer for it to get there.

What I’m thinking is that UAW can only take something so far, but it’ll get it onto the big stage. As long as I’m on page 1, I’m further along than I am with the EZA strategy, whether they drop from there or not. If they’re not ranking where I want them to be once my submissions are done, I’m thinking that some EZA submissions for those pages a month from now could seal the deal.

BUT…the first niche Adsense site I ever built with a UAW strategy was in August. I only did a few EZAs, and the rest was via two UAW submissions at 50/day. Haven’t touched it since. I’ve been steady at #1 for that term now for the last 3 weeks.

I’m thinking about the idea of just using EZA for my main domain and just using UAW for the inner pages – that’d be the best of both worlds if it worked and it’d save me quite a few articles.

Damn Jeff, that’s a lot of work for 2-3 days, nice man! I’d be interested in hearing how it turns out…

I’m thinking of cutting my site creation short right now as this is my 3rd adsense day where I’m only around $20/day and it’s getting on my nerves, so I may be giving it a go myself a little earlier than expected.

I think your idea to do EZA’s only for the main page is a good one…If I were in your shoes, I’d write up 12 ezines which should take about an hour, point 12 to the main domain and 3 to each inner page, then after that go off on the UAW.

Anyways, looks like you’re onto something.

@My goal: will earn Infiniti in 98 days!

Hey, sorry about that, looks like either your domain name or email address is triggering the spam filter..

To answer your previous question, go to Adsense Settings – competitive ad filter, then enter in the domains of the display url or destination url you don’t want showing up in your adsense ads anymore..

As far as making a profitable adsense campaign though, it really is about targetting the right keywords. You need to get pages centered around high CPC keywords and get them ranking on page 1 of Google.

I think RoRo means that some sites (like GoDaddy) are thought to snatch up good domains if you have been using their site to research domains. They can sell them for a higher price later. I’ve never heard that about Namecheap, which I use too.
