Day 166 – Research + Bunch Of New Visitors

October 18th, 2009

Didn’t get a whole lot done today I’m afraid, did a little bit of research, registered 11 domains for the next batch of snipers I’m going to be creating and just wrote up 2 articles out of the 5 for 1 site.

It seems like I’ve been getting a lot of traffic the last few days from the Warrior Forum from people searching for Google Sniper stuff and also through some post on getting 700 articles done in 7 days…people were checking out that day where I did 101 articles..

As I’ve said before, I’ve always wanted to just keep this a small community, Other than posting a link on my sig in TNB, I’ve done no advertising for my site whatsoever but word just keeps getting out.

I find it interesting how some people can take a positive accomplishment and make something negative out of it, check this out for instance:

hxxp://wpnichemarketing.com/blog/101-articles-in-one-day (replace x’s with t’s)

I found her linking to me in my backlinks…

She mentioned something about the possibility of my screenshots being fake(LOL?) although she didn’t believe them to be and then finishes by saying she feels sorry for me. Another person who didn’t do their research.

First of all, what is so unbelievable about completing 101 articles in 1 day??  I didn’t even set out to do that that day, it wasn’t planned and I wasn’t working on writing every waking hour, I did nothing for a couple hours since I woke up, then decided to get to writing at 4pm….then after a while I decided to hit the gym, watch some 24, and finally get back to it.  When you’re writing on a topic you know a lot about and you allow yourself to get into the zone and you follow all of the other tips I laid out, writing 101 articles in a day is NOT THAT HARD.

I also saw it as a game….it was FUN for me.  “Lets see how many articles I can pump out in the next couple of hours….can I hit 100? Hmm, wasn’t planning on it, lets see..”  This fact alone was also a major reason for why I was able to do this.

There is also some talk in that WF thread about those 100 articles I wrote and their connection to my earnings over here:

hxxp://www.warriorforum.com/main-internet-marketing-discussion-forum/134265-article-marketing-challenge-jump-board-newbies-3.html  (replace x’s with t’s)

Writing those 100 articles wasn’t this grueling/miserable task that some people seem to want to make it out to be…at least it wasn’t like that at all for me.

Now one common thread amongst everyone that found a way to put a negative spin on this was that they didn’t have any clue as to why I was writing these articles.  These are off topic articles NOT written for traffic generation purposes, they are written as per the BACKLINKING plan found in XFactor’s Adsense book, the guy who went from $100-$300 in 6 months with the system.

So far the Ezines helped me go from $5-8 to $30/day in less than a month, I’m happy with that…

One other thing I noticed is the psychology behind all this…I write 101 articles in a day, I even told people how I did it, yet some people react out of the base emotions of envy/jealousy, with an ego based mentality, and feel the need to attack it in order to feel better about themselves.  This whole fuss certainly wouldn’t be happening over 20 articles…some people are so stuck in a negative mentality and don’t even know it, and if you hang around them or let them hang around you, they’ll gladly spread that energy around…which is why I preferred to keep the site community relatively small.

Anyways, hopefully this is the end of this and tomorrow will be more productive.

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $25.22
  • Hops = 217(new) / 406(old)
  • Adsense = $23.19

-Mike

Therein lies the issue …. Post like yours expose there own shortcomings and rather than use it as something positive to help challenge to strengthen their own work ethic they’d rather projected their negativity on to you…
Getting you off focus by debating and having to validate your business model to them.

And of course your are much bigger tham that and will never buy into it

Since its Sunday just a shor bible lesson to illustrate my point

Nehemiah experienced something similiar. He was rebuilding the wall that had been torn down …. He had two enemies that were mocking him. Telling him it will come down in a day… They want him to come down from the wall and meet with them. He refused to come down and talk to them he got the wall finished and nothing they did or said detered Nehemiah from reaching his goal. The short version 🙂

Just so you know Mike, that post on WPNicheMarketing.com is by a woman named Rebecca and she makes ~500/day. Just sayin’.

I know you feel like people are attacking you Mike, but they’re not. Sometimes you need to take a step back and control your own ego and take some advice. I’m still learning every day of my life. I’m not trying to talk shit here.

Let’s use a real-world scenario that I’m sure happens all of the time. Pretend I’m a bodybuilder (I’m not BTW) and I’ve been going to this gym for years. I’ve been using my own routine (as well as following others) and my arms are now 18 inches big, my legs are huge, and I’m ripped.

Now, I see another guy there that has been working out there for quite some time now – he’s putting in tons of work (even more than me sometimes), he’s using expensive supplements, he’s doing all the things that he believes is right…but he’s not going anywhere. He hasn’t really gained any (or hardly any) muscle, but he continues to work out very hard, even though his progress is slow (or non-existent).

As a bodybuilder myself, I might approach this guy and give him some tips as to things he can do to start seeing some gains, even if he doesn’t necessarily want to become a ripped bodybuilder like me, I can still help point him in the right direction. But instead, he takes offense, and his little gym buddies all jump in and say their peace.

This scenario sort of relates to what’s going on here. I read the article by Rebecca and she’s definitely not bashing you or attacking you in any way, and that WarriorForum post is utterly ridiculous.

Do I doubt that you wrote 101 articles in one day? Absolutely not.

I think it’s great that you and Rebecca make an enormous amount of money… However, it is not a liscense to come in some else’s house (Mike’s blog) and be just down right rude. the best thing would have been to send him a private email.

People dont care how much you know as much as they know how much you care …

The “guru” mindset is arrogant and pretentious. Mike may not make as much as you or Rebecca…. YET but that does not mean he knows any less, it only means you have been at it longer than him… that’s all.

THE BIG DIFFERENCE is you approached the guy in the gym ONE ON ONE, or did you shout it to everyone INSIDE… HEY DUDE YOUR GETTING NO WHERE!!! Thats the BIG DIFFERENCE..

Have a little class. your approach was showing how much you know in the process of making Mike and anyone associated feel like dumb rocks.
Your money is not an indicating of success from my point of view because you still hav a lot to learn about people which in the end is most important (the quality of your relationships and how you affect other people …) and as Mike indicated earlier… enough of accomodating the negative energy but keep moving in a positive direction

Talk about a bunch of misinformation!!

The article on the woman’s blog lacks one thing: KNOWLEDGE of what Mike’s plan is and how he follows his strategy. She does seem to be critical of Mike’s ACTIONS, but since she knows nothing else about his strategy it’s just not relevant criticism.

    @Bruce
I could not read without subscribing. not sure if it was just my browser. but I did read it. and from the looks of it she only read the post and did not read the strategy as you stated… there is a word for people that answer a matter without evening knowing what’s going on ….

For one it has taking the commenting way off focus from the blog and community itself. So I for one am ready to read more of Mike’s progress and get back to work myself.

    Hey Mike,

I’m the one who posted that link in that thread! 🙂 Because I couldn’t believe how many people were being dumb about what is or isn’t possible. In fact some idiot even tried to personally attack me. He supposedly is a 5 or 6 monthly figure (whatever he said) article marketer, yet, didn’t bother to think about using articles for backlinks.

I was going to call him out on it but thought better of it. I’d rather let this so called “expert” wallow in his idiocy.

Overall, the point of the thread was the OP stated that people should write 100 500 word articles every day for 7 days. As well as submit them to ezine.

Difficult, yes, impossible, no. Personally, I think the OP’s mistake was saying 500 word articles. While you could write 100 500 word articles daily it’s easier to write 250-300 word articles and you’ll also get better click through rates at the article directories when you submit them.

Anyway, thanks for being an inspiration. I hope you don’t mind I posted that, because I felt that a lot of people in the WF in that thread would also be inspired by seeing what your massive focused (albeit sometimes off track Mr. Adult CPM ad buyer ;))action.

P.S. You may have missed my advice in that thread to you about getting your inner pages ranked. The ezine links will help. However, you should use SENuke to make link wheels pointing to your interior pages. That will boost your inner page rankings very well.

Also, I’d highly suggest you outsource some cheap social bookmarking to your better performing sites, especially the inner pages. You can find these services very cheaply at the WF either in the WSO section or in the Warriors for Hire section. In fact, if you don’t want to build the link wheels, there are also many people there offering link wheel building services too.

I did write one other comment before, but for some reason you didn’t approve it. You may have thought it was spam, because it was a link to a product in the WSO section. I thought it would really help you with your article rewriting. Sorry if you thought that, I really was only trying to help you.

Thanks again and keep up the good work. I check in every day. (I read all your previous entries over the course of 2 days)

    Jason

I can’t speak for Mike, but your initial post on this forum was one of the first times that someone made a post that was so insensitive. I think you would still be welcome here in spite of your first post blunder. Maybe you were trying to make a point but your grammatical skills were certainly lacking in tact.

So far you have only spoken in general terms about how much money you make. What all of us are trying to determine here is how to follow a system that will allow us to get to the point where we are making as much money as you.

You obviously did not wake up one day and say I’ll start an Internet business and make $22,000 this month. You had to start to learn a system from someone or have figured one out on your own.

How can you help us reach our goal of making as much money as you? Your suggestion about looking at BabyEarThermometer.org is meaningless unless you can describe what makes that site special and what was done to get it to rank in that position.

What specifically do you have to offer that can help some of us reach your income level? Are you involved in some form of BH techniques that are making you this amount of money? Please share something concrete in a constructive manner and we will be all ears.

Don’t fix something that isn’t broken. IMHO, going from ~5$ a day to 30$ a day in less than a month is huge success. Besides, why would you care what others think about your article writing? It works for you and you are rapidly increasing your income – that’s the only thing that matters.

Not to mention that everything you’ve done so far will be running on autopilot mostly so you can stop and still have profit (a little bit of maintenance will be needed though).

Thank you Dee for your input…

Dee and Bruce pretty much said it all..nothing more needs to be said.

    @Jason

    Hey Jason,

Well, whats done is done, np..I’m glad you found it inspiring.

Sorry about the post not getting approved man, it wasn’t intentional, it was caught in my spam filter which I rarely checked so I completely missed it :/

It looked like a good deal, similar to Content Boss except it seems to make articles a bit more unique. Too bad the WSO is over.

Ya, I’ll look into the bookmarking and I’m for sure going to try out SENuke before the end of the month, I need to get more use out of it than just using it to submit RSS feeds. Thanks for the suggestions.

    @Trevor

    Agreed.

I agree that the blog post was misinformed, not really looking into what’s been happening here. Sometimes I think people like to criticize others that do things differently, perhaps because they are successful it gives them the license to do so. I believe in this world of making money online, people are different and finding your own way is what works. I’d certainly never post a blog post so publicly putting someone down or ‘feeling sorry for them’ without really understanding exactly how their own system works. I guess this is just what happens online – I don’t blame you for wanting to keep the community small for that reason, I’d do the same.

I totally agree about the whole ‘guru’ mindset, something I hate about internet marketing.
