Day 163 – Outsourced 60 Articles + John On Ranking Pages

October 15th, 2009

The first animated documentary…Amazing animation…

So today I was in another situation where I didn’t have much time to work on my business(I just submitted 1 UAW article I had outsourced), so I decided it was a perfect opportunity to do some outsourcing…

Seeing as how I’ve been considering submitting UAW articles for EACH individual inner page on all my sites, I figured I’d go and outsource some UAW articles.  So, what I did was pick out an Ezine Article and submitted it to Human Rewriter to be re-written 6 times(cost me about $20 for a 350-400 word article).  Each 3 rewrites will be used for 1 UAW submission, so this is 2 UAW submissions in total.  Seeing as how I’m putting in 2 links per UAW submission, this comes out to 4 backlinks that will go to the 4 inner pages of one of my sites…

So, I repeated this same process over again 10 times (~$200), that’s going to give me backlinks to the inner pages of 10 of my sites, 40 in total.  Human Rewriter is backlogged at this time so it looks like it will take them longer than usual to get that work done, so in the mean time, I’m going to look into doing more research and potentially creating more sites.

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention…I had msg’d John about getting inner pages to rank, this was his response:

“There really is no science to getting the inner pages ranked that would be different.

From my experience many of my inner pages get ranked decently without much backlinking directly to them.

This is why I primarily work on my main keyword, and any additional rankings is just a bonus (at least in the first couple months of a new site).”

I’ve also seen him say before that he spends 2-3 weeks sending a link each day to his new domain(14-21 links total)…so basically if I were to follow suit, I would just need to do the backlinking work and then wait and see what inner pages rank after a few months.

Well, the thing is, time is not something I have the luxury of, it’s part of why I work to the extent that I do.  This is why I had decided to stop writing and submitting to EZ for the time being and go all out on this UAW strategy to see how it works out.  I’m going to  drip out the UAW articles..maybe have each one go out at 5/day at first so that I don’t lose my rankings due to building links too fast.

If all else fails, I do know that with 100 of these sites, I should reach $100/day as right now I seem to be hovering at around $30/day with 30 odd sites.

For anyone who left a comment I’ll get back to you in a bit, heading off to bed..

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $0
  • Hops = 233(new) / 463(old)
  • Adsense = $29.45

    Hey Mike,

    Took your suggestion about writing UAW about non-related niches -MUCH quicker! Each submission this way saves me about 20 minutes, which I’m really happy about. But…

    I just submitted my first batch like this two days ago, and got an email from UAW last night that they’d rejected each of these articles. Here was their reasoning.

    Upon review of your articles we noticed an error, and as it is our goal to help you get your articles accepted at the most directories possible, we suggest you make the following changes:

    Changes to be made:
    * Links in Resource Box do not seem to relate to article content, which may confuse the reader. Please ensure that the links in your resource boxes take the reader to a link where they can find more information on what they just read.

    I was really surprised to see this. Even EZA doesn’t care about that. Wondering if you’ll be running into the same with your most recent submission. Let me know…

    @Jeff

    Hey Jeff, sorry that happened to you.. They must have let it slip through the cracks when I did it, I had a few of those mixed in with some on topic articles, so that may be why.

    The only other thing I could suggest to help you speed things up would be to outsource the UAW submissions. Get a related Ezine Article to be re-written, sentence by sentence, have that re-written 3x, then use that as a UAW submission.

    I would then take the failed UAW submission you’ve had and submit those as 3 separate articles to Ezine Articles…

    Hi Mike

    Another question: How do you know what page your site is on in search results when your site is indexed by google? I just can’t find where my site is located, it’s not in the first 10 pages…

    @Shane

    If it’s not in the first 10 pages, then it doesn’t matter where it is because it’s pretty much off the charts..

    There are programs out there that will track this kind of stuff, I believe Traffic Travis is one of them, but I do all the searching manually.
