Day 15 – Site Building Must Continue

Hey everyone,

Today I didn’t get quite as much done as I had hoped as I had other non-IM related stuff to take care of.. I did however do some niche research which was much needed as I didn’t have any more potential sniper sites…in my search however, I was able to find a total of *13*possible new sniper sites, and this is all in the same niche as the troublesome sniper site niche!(I really need a new name for this, from now on, I’ll call it my “Main Sniper Site Niche” since once all these sites are done, I’ll have 35 sites total in it.

I ended up registering 9 of the domains today, here are the details of the 9 I registered so far:

KW1 – 9.9k broad/3.6k phrase/3.6k exact
KW2  – 18.1k broad/6.6k phrase/5.4k exact
KW3  – 12.1k broad/4.4k phrase/3.6k exact
KW4 – 14.8k broad/4.4k phrase/3.6k exact
KW5 – 9.9k broad/2.9k phrase/2.9k exact
KW6 – 9.9k broad/2.9k phrase/2.9k exact
KW7 – 8.1k broad/2.4k phrase/2.4k exact
KW8 – 12.1k broad/3.6k phrase/3.6k exact
KW9 – 14.8k broad/4.4k phrase/4.4k exact

I think I have a good shot at making a decent ranking on the first page with these, my hope is they will churn out just as many hops as my other sites are.

The remaining 4 keywords that I haven’t registered yet are for product names WITHOUT the word “review” tagged on the end.  It’s kind of an iffy area I suppose, but I’m going go for it anyway.  The keywords don’t have quite as many searches as the ones above, but it will be highly targeted traffic.  I think it’s time I start throwing in some super targeted sniper sites such as these, will be interesting to see how many sales they bring in:

KW10 – 2.9k broad/2.9k phrase/1.3k exact
KW11 – 6.6k broad/6.6k phrase/2.9k exact
KW 12 – 5.4k broad/3.6k phrase/1.6k exact
KW 13 – 2.4k broad/2.4k phrase/880 exact

Earnings For Today:

BTW, I got 2 sales for the troublesome sniper site niche today which brings my conversion to 530 hops / 5 sales.  It is also 5 sales in 6 days.  At $27/sale, as the days go on it’s looking like these 22 sites have resulted in at least a $500/month increase, will have to wait a bit more and see how it pans out, but I don’t see why this trend won’t continue.

You know, one of the hardest things for me to get over was creating ALL THESE SITES!  But if lets say 20 sites = $500/month, I’d be happy to make 120 of these sites and pay 1.2k a year for the domains if it means an extra 3k/month.

  • $54.24 – 2 Sales from 1 Sniper site in the troublesome niche AKA the Main Sniper Site Niche
  • Adsense = $2.58
  • 249 hops! (And it wasn’t long ago that I couldn’t believe I had over 100, crazy how things have turned out)

I’m with you, if you can set up 120 sites and make $300 per month on auto pilot, (more or less) then, yeah, why not?

Work now, continous money in the bank.

Can’t say that about any j.o.b. now, can we? …lol…

Taking a few days off to heal a sense of burned out. But…. that did not prevent me from getting Steve Ayler’s Backlinking Goldmine 3.0 at the price of $67. (Not so sure I approve of what I perceive to be a slightly greedy business practice….) AND I got the automation macros from Francis. (Who’s business practices I DO approve of. He seems like a really helpful guy who is not out to bleed his customers dry.)

After a quick glance, seems like they can be seriously useful.

    And fast.

Mike, I’m assuming you are not #1 for all of the keywords in the MSSN?
As time goes by, even if you make no more sites in this niche, I’d think your earnings would just keep increasing and increasing.

Always wanted to marry a rich guy,,,, how ’bout it Mikeman? 😉 I’m pretty good in the kitchen….

    JK! ….lol…..

Sorry, it’s supposed to be $3000 per month, not $300.

Wow it’s great to see that the troublesome niche is finally paying off!

Mike were the sales from the original clickbank product? Didn’t you say you switched the clickbank product on a few sites?

    Congrats on the sales!

Just a sidenote to Evita, but I had to laugh out what you said about the BL Goldmine guy. I was interested in his product but as the price kept increasing I just couldn’t justify the cost and then after awhile I was a bit turned off by the method. Glad to see it wasn’t just me.

Mike, are all those domains just the KW phrase or do you usually have to add an extra word (like “review”). I can almost never find a KW-only domain that is decent. And congrats once again on your progress.

Hey Mike, looks like that niche is gonna be a winner.

I am just about to start building sniper sites, I have been doing some kw research today and came up with 20 or so kw in my chosen niche. All 20 have reasonable search numbers and all 20 should be fairly easy to rank well for.

I noticed when using the google keyword tool that there seems to be a big discrepency between the # searches for last month and the average # searches. Which figure are you using ? The numbers for last month were all much higher than the numbers for the average.

Evita, ya…I said it before on here, probably should have stressed it more, I don’t agree with Steve’s business practices at all. Grudgingly. I have to say his packages are better than Angela’s and PJ’s in the sense that you gain access to many blogroll/blog sites where you can do 10 links at a time.

I’m not #1 for all of my keywords for the Main Sniper Sites, however I do place highly for all of them (most place #1-5)…I’d like to think the income will increase as the sites get older too.. to be on the safe side, I’m operating from a place where I don’t count on it and if it happens it’s a bonus.

And this is exactly why I wear a fake wedding ring on my hand..you’re trouble 😉 Being good in the kitchen is a definite plus though!

Clefty, thanks man, ya I just need my other new product for this niche to do better now, it’s around 200 hops 0 sales.

Thanks Shelly, I switched out the original product on the 13th. I had 500 hops, 0 sales. from the 14th to the 19th I got 530 hops / 5 sales..this was for 18 of the 22 sites. The other 4 sites are using a different product for which I have around 200 hops / 0 sales (might need to do something about this one).

Carrie, ya, it was definitely a money grab.

My domains are just the keyword phrase, I don’t add ANYTHING after…if you add something else to the domain, you take away the power of the technique, it doesn’t work quite as well.

It’s tough finding good keywords to use, I think I’ve been lucky so far…in most niches it’s hard to find the gems.

Hey Rik, nice…20. It’s always fun when you have a bunch of good ones lined up to make.

As far as what do I go by in the Google tool, I go by the Average search volume rather than the previous month.

  8. May 20th, 2009 at 18:52 | #8

Rik – The average column is for the whole entire Google network regardless of country. The previous month column is only for the country you have selected (defaults to United States). I actually find it more useful now. You can see which keywords might do well in other parts of the world. My sniper site that has been up one week and made two sales already, has an average global phrase of 1300 but the previous month is 5400 for US only and the trend is climbing (I always look at the trend too.) I’m still learning but getting a better handle on the KW searching now. HTH!

    Hey Mike,

Wow, you’ll have 35 sites in same niche. Do you use the same picture of the person for all of these sites or will you vary it? Also do you think lower numbers in searches is good due to less people trying for them?

Well, I actually have 22 sites, but I’ve just bought 13 more to develop which will bring it to 35.

The picture I select stays constant for the niche, I only find a new pic if I enter a new niche.

Not sure what you mean by lower searches being better, you always want there to be more searches, the only thing you want less of is competition.

  11. May 20th, 2009 at 20:56 | #11

Great work Mike. I can’t believe how quickly you are busting out these sniper sites. I am still working on adding content and backlinking the few I made last month. I think I only accomplished 6. lol

Which reminds me I bought a new domain for one 2 weeks ago and have yet to even install wordpress for it. lol

As far as the Goldmine Guy goes, it may seem sneaky but it works! I only worked on building backlinks last week with a few articles here and there. Anyhow i think it’s safe to say I have fully recovered one site from the sandbox. I’m going to bet it was from Paul and Steve’s backlinks because I only added one more blog post to that site since. That site had dropped off page 2 where it was hovering for dear life in the #3 spot (on page 2) and then suddenly it was out of sight for almost 2 weeks and now it is back to #4 on the first page!

I’ve never found a more easy way to get hops and lots of them than through building these sites…so right now I’ve basically made it a goal to get so many hops per day that it would be ridiculous for me to have another $0 day.

I have a few sniper sites that have dropped off from Google, one of which was getting 10 hops a day. Glad to hear you got yours out, I might need to look into that…

I’m impressed that you find so many KW-only domains. I have found that very difficult, but maybe I’m picking bad niches.

Yup, that’s probably it. The reason all these sites have been in 1 niche for the most part is this niche had a lot of openings…It’s not too easy to find good keywords in a lot of other niches.
