Day 148 – You Will NOT Believe What Happened Today!

September 30th, 2009

I still can’t believe it.

I had been writing up 30 articles a day for the last 2 days as you know and submitting them to Ezines.  What I found is that apparently the more articles you submit in 1 go the faster they get accepted or something, because each of those batches of 30 articles basically went live the same day or the very next day..

What I did with those 60 articles in total was link back to about 15 of my adsense snipers, spreading it out among the main page as well as the inner pages.

With 2 links per article, I was aiming to have 12 backlinks to the main domain and 3 backlinks each the the inner pages.  I haven’t gotten that done for all of them as of yet, but the plan is to get that base level of advertising done then add even more article backlinks once I have that solid base setup..

As you know my income from adsense has usually been around $5-10/day and that yesterday I went up to $19.93, have a look at this (click image for larger version):

I was going nuts!!!

I couldn’t even concentrate enough to get my 30 articles for today written, I was refreshing my adsense account every 5 minutes!

I checked my Ezine Articles to see if maybe it was referred Ezine clicks, but out of all these 60 articles, I only got 8 clicks through to my websites which is not even close to accounting for this.

It seems as if the rankings for my sites and internal sites went up and I got a surge of traffic due to all these high PR Ezine backlinks!

I just started with this whole XFactor method a little over 2 weeks ago, Sept 12th and only made 15 or so sites, I can’t believe I’m seeing these kinds of results at this point!  Hopefully this new income level continues…

Now that I made this huge chunk of money, I’ve changed my priorities…I want to play it a bit safe here and flesh out some of my existing sites beyond 5 keywords and make additional pages for them.  I’m only going to be doing it for the domains that I created that didn’t target a product keyword domain though(ex: I’ll develop additional pages for a site like electricshavers.com instead of braunshavers.com), the reason for this is you never know if some sort of copyright problem will arise with the latter domain.

As far as what I did today, I got 30 more articles written and I submitted the 30 articles I had written from yesterday.  I’ll probably take a break from the promotion soon though to build up the additional pages.

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $63.03 – 3 CB sales, none for the troublesome product though…I’m getting the feeling that it is the new sales page after all and that the new one isn’t converting as well
  • Hops = 269(new) / 545(old)
  • Adsense = $42.91
  • Total = $105.94

I can relate to the checking adsense every 5 minutes….lol…

    That’s fantastic news!

I never do ezine articles, but I guess now I will 🙂

That’s an awesome increase… How many visitors did you have to earn $42?
(Think that is an OK number to share, it’s just the CTR we can’t share, right??)

    Fantastic Mike!

Why do you feel it necessary to make more than 5 pages for the sites at this time instead of concentrating on the backlinks which will bring up all of your sites in the rankings?

Your 5 page sites are providing quality content and that is all that matters to Big G. Don’t you think these sites are just as valid as a 10 page site?

    Way to go, Mike!

Did all your 15 sites contribute to the big increase or just a few of them? Told you we were on our way to $10K/mo. hehe

Hi Mike, found you through The Niche Blogger forums where a lot of us there are doing XFactor’s course. Just wanted to leave my first comment to say congrats! That’s an excellent jump, no doubt you’ll be seeing even higher earnings in the near future. Great motivation for me too.

    Hey Mike,

Nice update! Are you going to concentrate mostly on backlinking through ezinearticles or still use various other ways to get link juice?

Wow Mike, I’d be freaking out too! 🙂 Amazing results!

That’s awesome, Mike. Are you using EZA backlinks for everything, or mixing in some GoArticles and other directories?

I know that Ezines are the most valuable, but I can’t decide whether five EZA are worth more than something like 3 EZA, one GoArticles, and one other directory (i.e. ArticleDashboard). What I like about EZA is how everything seems to get indexed automatically without the need for social bookmarking or pinging of the article.

Keep up the awesome work, you’re on your way.

    Congrats on a huge increase!

Oh, also – are you using the same anchor text in every backlink for a page you’re trying to rank for, or mixing it up a little bit like you were with UAW?

    Chinese Guy is toooo funny!…

Well, congrats on big bucks Adsense days. You’re really killing it lately.

As to CB sales, I agree, its the sales letter (which I thought originally)
If you are getting OTHER CB sales logged and credited to you then the main product’s sales letter has been WORSENED – no question.. I have seen this happen many times

..Dumb CB sellers make changes and it ends up making it worse!….most sellers are not savvy enough to even know specifically what they did wrong. 🙁

I would add up ALL the sales you’ve made for them, and send them an email telling them you are going to drop the product and promote their competitor’s product, since you have no choice. Show them the NUMBERS they will be losing. Ask them to replace the page for 30 days ONLY, just to see if the numbers change. Then you and the CB seller will know for sure.

Sweet! Congrats – you’ve put in a lot of work for that. Hopefully you will be seeing $50+ days from now on!

Awesome! You must have been getting some pretty expensive clicks, coupled with a decent no. of impressions and CTR. $$$

I get more and more excited each day with your xfactor results Mike. It motivates me to keep working on mine. last night i stayed up until midnight working on my 3rd one and usually I would stop my IM day around 5ish. haha!

I honestly don’t know how many visitors I had to get in order to achieve that, I hadn’t been tracking everything in analytics(I just set it up for all my sites today) so its not easy for me to tell what went on.

It’s my guess that traffic must have at least tripled due to ranking higher and possibly showing up on other search engines. On some of my blogs it shows my traffic shooting up from 7/day to almost 30 yesterday, but others the traffic stays the same, the AWStats is a bit strange, it doesn’t always fit whats going on in adsense so I don’t see it as very reliable.

Wish I could break that down further, but I’m in the dark right now about it myself and that’s my best guess.

    @Peter (pacecom)

Well, I suppose the fact that I was all of a sudden earning a significantly larger chunk made me begin to think about taking all measures to ensure I hold onto that income. I’ve heard from a friend of mine who knows 3 people who lost their Google adsense accounts due to them appearing as MFA and I also read this yesterday:

I think it’s a natural progression to become more cautious the more money that’s coming in.

JB, in affiliate marketing, it’s usually that you have a small handful of sites that do well and the rest do just OK or bring in nothing at all…things don’t change really with adsense.

Ya, I can see how making 10k/month is now achievable with this :>

    @Web Career Girl

Hey WC Girl, thanks :> .. glad you’re getting something out of it.

Debbie hey, you seem to be missing me a lot of the time online. I’m planning on using Ezine Articles for the most part as they are just so powerful as you’ve seen..but I’ll probably try out Go Articles as well..

I still haven’t finalized everything yet, especially since SENuke just came out today…but I can say that for sure, I’ll be building up many more EZ backlinks to all the inner pages though, that’s for sure.

    Thanks Shelly :>

If I were you, I’d go all Ezines to start with, that way you can really get a feel for how powerful they are as you won’t have anything else distracting you from the end results.

I had asked XFactor as well regarding if other directories were mandatory and he himself said he greatly prefers Ezines.

About the anchor text, I’ve been keeping it the same for the most part, although for the main domain, I’ve thrown a couple of links in that are just http://sitename.com rather than for the main keyword. I may throw in 1 or 2 different anchor texts every 15 or so links.

    Thanks Carrie :>

Hahah, ya, that guys great. Ya, I’m pretty sure it’s the sales page, I got a more indepth answer from CB via e-mail today saying they checked everything out in detail and couldn’t find any issues. I did get another sale for that product today, the 3rd sale in 4 days, so the jury is still out on what is going on…I do know that SOMETHING happened last week for sure as it’s not normal for me to have that many 0’s.

My CB income still hasn’t gone back to what it was though, but I’m going to let it play out just a bit longer while I focus on adsense. But ya, I might have to switch to another product.

Ya, I think that today it will be lower than yesterday, I think I overdid it with promotion as another 30 articles went live(90 total) and I’m now seeing some Google dance backlash (my guess)…

Hopefully it goes back to $40 a day but I know at the least I’ve doubled my income.

    no comment :>

Awesome Sara! Ya, I normally wouldn’t do 30 submissions of Ezines a day, but when you know something is going to workout, you tend to do more work since you’re more certain about it.

    Hi Mike,

We will catch up soon I hope. I wanted to ask you about that link you had on the adsense ban post.. he seems to imply that having affiliate links wouldn’t make it mfa sites. I didn’t get the sense that would be sufficient.

You also said that ezinearticles lose rankings after time but do you think they still will keep the rankings for the site you link to up in engines ? ps hope today is another nice day!

well, if you’re promoting 2 things on 1 site, I suppose you could argue that the site is designed to be monitized via 2 sources, not just 1, and hence not just made for adsense…between that and adding more pages, not much else you can do.

as far as Ezine Articles keeping their rankings, I don’t care where they stay in the engines, if you’re doing this method, you’re using them just for backlinking purposes.

Only by check or direct deposit..Direct deposit is better than Paypal and it’s what I do..nothing better than money going straight into your bank account.
