Day 144 – More Info On CB Problems

September 26th, 2009

Haha, Rogan called her out and told it like it is.

OK, so I heard back from the product owner and he had a look at my stats…basically what it’s looking like at the moment is some CB issues.

After I sent my msg to the product owner, he himself went ahead and contacted CB and is waiting to hear back from them as well…

In the last 14 days, CB is showing that:

-I got 1,486 hops

-287 of those went to the checkout

-8 order form submissions were sent

-4 of those were valid and counted as sales…

Now normally you see a conversion ratio of at least 20% of those who go to the checkout purchasing, but 8 out of 287? That’s just ridiculous.  Something is up with CB’s stats.  I did some statistics gathering for this product on a week by week basis and this is what I’ve found:

July 30th-Aug5th
—————–
hops = 776
order form impression count = 31
order form submit count = 13
Sales = $197.53

Aug 6th-Aug 12th
—————–
hops = 589
order form impression count = 8
order form submit count = 5
Sales = $134.21

Aug 13th-Aug 19th
——————
hops = 719
order form impression count = 13
order form submit count 6
Sales = $134.98

Aug 20th-Aug 26th
—————–
hops = 789
order form impression count = 18
order form submit count 3
Sales = $27.12

Aug 27th-Sept 2nd
—————–
hops = 897
order form impression count = 15
order form submit count = 10
Sales = $162.08

Sept 3rd-9th
————-
hops = 1,033
order form impression count = 24
order form submit count = 11
Sales = $281.18

Sept 10th-16th
—————
hops = 947
order form impression count = 92
order form submit count = 7
Sales = $102.50

Sept 17-23rd
————-
hops = 667
order form impression count = 167
order form submit count = 2
Sales = $0

24th, 25th = $0 as well for this product…
==============================================

You can see that the order form impression count went up big time around Sept 10th on…92, then 167, but the ratio of order form impressions to submissions did not stay in line with each other.

Either CB is reporting some screwy stats and not tracking things properly, or maybe all those SENuke submissions I did in the beginning of Sept did something there.

I don’t know what it is, but the product owner is saying that even he has been experiencing the same thing for the past month.  Normally he gets a 20% conversion for ppl seeing the order form to purchasing, but yesterday he had 474 order form impressions and only 26 people submitting their information.

So was it just a coincidence that my income dropped since the new sales page was implemented?  I have no idea…I e-mailed CB as well, I’ll see what happens…

Now as far as what I did today, I created another Adsense sniper, #19…I think I’m going to come to a stop sometime soon.  The reason being is that I KNOW I picked good niches and good keywords so if things aren’t ranking the only thing I need to do is spend more time backlinking and eventually the majority should start ranking and pulling in money.  This is the kind of certainty you can get when you do your research well…normally, had I just shot out a bunch of sites on keywords that just “looked good enough”, I would not have been so sure if spending a bunch of time backlinking would pay off, I’d wonder if the keyword research aspect wasn’t done well and then I wouldn’t want to end up wasting time backlinking something that had no chance of ranking.

So I still have 36 Ezines I have yet to submit which will cover 3 more sites.  Thus far I’ve sent 12 Ezine Articles to 9 of my Adsense snipers, so thats 108 total.  Once I submit these next 36, that will cover 12 sites, and seeing how I have 19 sites now, I’ll need to whip up another 84 Ezines.

I’m thinking of using up my Human Rewriter credits to rewrite articles 3x and then use that within UAW as a submission for each of my sites…I’m also wondering if I should hold onto my SENuke registration.  It is an amazing program, I”m just not sure if it would be the best thing to use for this system or not..They are just now coming out with 20 more Web 2.0 sites to auto submit to on the 28th, which will make 40 total O_O….I’m interested to see if that will give some substantial results or not, so when the update comes, I’ll be doing some testing for 3 days, using it on my sites since my next payment is on the first of October..

Hopefully I can get more of my sites and inner pages up and ranking….if this happens, I’ll sart putting up additional pages as well for my already existing sites.

Earnings For Today:

  • CB = $0
  • Hops = 180 (new) / 366(old)
  • Adsense = $8.65 (I won’t be putting in the hubs/info income, it’s so small and I’m not working on that right now so there doesn’t seem to be much point mentioning it anymore…unless you still want to see it for some reason…BTW, that site that did amazing a few days back is back up :>)

    Mike,

    Thanks for your advice last night. I heard back from the other marketer who admits he is kind of a procrastinator so he may not be too difficult to out work.

    I’m sorry to hear about this problem you are having with Click Bank because I know it is costing you many hundreds of dollars. Hopefully you get the problem rectified soon. I imagine you already have their 1-800 number that you can call for assistance?

    Peter

    Hey Mike,

    I’m getting somewhat a similar situation like yours. Click to the order page were there but no sales. Would like to know what the outcome of your call to CB turned out.
