Day 1363 – Mike Iser Died?

January 27th, 2013

Wow, has it really been over 2 years since my last update?

Anyways, I haven’t died, I’ve just been busy enjoying life πŸ™‚

Having worked some 400 odd days straight to develop this passive income stream of about 5k/month, I didn’t have to do very much to maintain that, so for about 1 1/2 years after my last post, I just focused on other things, other than making money…

The whole IM game was an afterthought…

I totally detached myself from it.Β  I stopped regularly visiting IM websites and stopped checking in on my own website(apologies to those who left notes here!)…as long as the bank deposits kept coming in, I was happy to pursue my hobbies/passions with my new-found time freedom.

life was good…

And Then?

But, as you’re all aware, Google Penguin came about in 2012.

At first I wasn’t too worried, but come summer of 2012, I started realizing I’ve got to get back into the game…

It’s amazing how quickly the IM game can change.Β  I was completely unaware of the current state of SEO, what worked, what didn’t work….I was also completely unaware of what all the latest backlinking programs/memberships/strategies were, what the “latest and greatest” products were, what the popular WSO’s of the day were …

I had a LOT of catching up to do.

But one thing I realized was that I could either continue battling against the Google algorithms and try and get all my sites ranking again, or I could just focus on another method of making money all-together.Β  I decided on the latter.

Instead of fighting to get my websites ranking once again, I turned to video.Β  I noticed Google was valuing video and allowing them to rank high with relative ease, so I decided to implement a WSO I had read on ranking Youtube videos for Clickbank products.

I went all out with this method and in about 2-3 months time, I took my Clickbank income from about $0(yup, all those CB snipers died out) to $1,000/month:

Now while that income was all well and good, the problem was it was not something consistent.Β  Videos were constantly getting taken down by Youtube, so it was a constant battle to re-upload deleted videos, hence, the struggle to find another means of increasing my income continued…

So What Happened Next?

I went through a phase of looking through many WSO’s and trying to figure out what methods I should be focusing on to bring in some money.Β  I wanted to find at least one method which would produce results relatively quickly and one which was more long term.

As far as long term was concerned, I knew that I no longer wanted to mess around with SEO, I had decided my main focus for long term results is going to be paid traffic/media buys.Β  There is never going to be a shortage of advertising on the Internet and as long as you can get good at generating a good ROI on your investment, just scale up your winning campaigns and you’re golden.

To that end, near the end of the year I picked up a course by Vick Strizheus called High Traffic Academy (HTA).Β  It was pricey, but it contained an abundance of great info on various paid traffic methods.Β  After getting through it, I had a short stint with Solo Ads.Β  I built a list of about 850 people in 1 month before I decided I needed to lay off of paid advertising, for a while, and revert back to free methods of traffic generation…

Where I’m At Now:

Back around the middle of December, Vick introduced HTA members to a system he was working on called “The Big Idea Mastermind” (BIM).Β  This was a system which he intended to roll out in connection with Empower Network.

For those of you who don’t know about Empower Network, I’ll briefly explain it.

Basically, you can get in at a $25/month level and get access to your own blog on their PR 4 domain which has an Alexa Ranking of 228 in the US and 521 worldwide.Β  Once you’re in at that level, you can then sell that $25 product for recurring $25 commissions where-in you get to keep 100% of the commissions you earn, minus some merchant account fees and “pass-ups”(every 2nd, 4th, 6th and thereafter, every 5th sale are sent to the person who signed you up to the program)

There is also a recurring $100/month product, the “Inner Circle” audios, a $500 “Costa Rica” product, a $1,000 “15k Formula” product and finally a $3,500 “Masters Retreat” product.

In order to get the commission for selling each product, you need to have purchased it.Β  Otherwise, if you sign someone up while you’re at the $25 level and they upgrade all the way to the $3,500 product, you “pass-up” all those commissions ($100, $500, 1k, 3.5k) to whoever is above you that has all the products and is thus eligible to receive those commissions.

As for BIM….

The Big Idea Mastermind (which isn’t out yet) is basically additional training which is given to you free only if you sign up to Empower Network with someone who is a Big Idea Mastermind Founding Member.Β  So if you sign in at the $25 level, you will not only get access to whatever Empower Network gives you, you will also get the associated BIM basic level.Β  If you get the $100 package, you will also get the BIM silver level.Β  There is then a gold, platinum and finally diamond level.Β  Each BIM level comes with separate training…The platinum/diamond levels will come with a 30 day plan to 10k/month (If you’re at the Masters Retreat level/Diamond level, you have the potential to make 4-5k in one day which would make it that much easier to attain this income goal).

SO…ya…I have gone “all-in” with the Empower Network/BIM program and this is now where my focus lies for long-term success in the IM arena πŸ™‚

Blog Updates?

As far as blogging is concerned, I’ve recently started blogging a bit on my Empower Network blog, so for the few who look back on this site once in a blue moon, that’s where you’ll be able to find me πŸ™‚

I’ve recently gone to the Empower Network Event in Austin TX (January 18th – 20th), it was quite the experience and I got a bit of footage I’ll be releasing on that blog πŸ™‚Β  I’ll also be sharing any nuggets I come across in my reading/listening of audios that can be helpful to anyone in the Internet Marketing arena.

As far as how much money I’ve made thus far, I’m just getting started, haven’t really done much, however THIS post here is a vlog on my first $1,000 day πŸ™‚

To Those Who Followed The Blog:

If any of you guys who used to read this blog or post here stop by again, I hope you’re all doing awesome in your Internet businesses!Β  No doubt by now many of you are ‘living the dream’ and enjoying the fruits of your labors πŸ™‚

    Hey Rahul πŸ™‚

Ya man…I stopped creating adsense sites way back in 2010.

I have looked into various ways of monetizing with Adsense post Penguin update through various WSO’s, however I ended up running with other methods other than Adsense.

well we have tested niche sites in 2011. inspired from your blog. I think still huge money can be made from adsense but now we need bigger sites.

Good to see that you’re back!

That’s basically the definition of a MLM product. In fact, empower network is textbook MLM really. Do you think the MLM business model is worth getting into, as it’s actually illegal in many places (I know they’re based in Costa Rica so I assume it is legal there)?

    Oh nice πŸ™‚

Ya…The mini site model is a thing of the past now.

You can always make money through SEO, I just got fed up with constantly being at the mercy of Google and their never-ending algorithm changes…

I figured, there has to be an easier way than this. I’m now very focused on paid methods of advertising as with that, you have the ability to quickly SCALE UP your income when you find something that works.

But ya, if SEO is what interests you, go for it and figure it out. You gotta do whatever it is you’re feeling at the moment, put on the blinders and STAY FOCUSED with it.

    Hey Mantasmo πŸ™‚

Ya, I just got back from Miami Florida, had some training there with those of us who went All-In with Vick in BIM (about 100 of us).. Also went on a private yacht, was pretty cool.

BTW, I am in Big Idea Mastermind right now which is a new program that hasn’t launched yet, but will in the next 2 weeks(hopefully) it is a system that is leveraging the Empower Network system.

About whether its worth getting into…Right now, there is the potential to make A LOT of money with this if you get in NOW.

Everyone knows about EN right now..but noone has yet to hear about BIM…and since it leverages the EN system, you can REALLY make a killing through EN’s compensation plan marketing BIM due to it being fresh and completely “unsaturated” not that EN is saturated, but there will be the potential to make money a lot easier with BIM since noone has heard of it yet.

    It’s all about positioning.

I can’t talk about the MLM business in generall, all I can talk about is BIM, and say like I said before that there is the potential to make a lot of money if you run with this.

And about whether EN is legal, I think you’re thinking of pyramid schemes or ponzi schemes…those are illegal… it’s neither one of those.

With EN, money is generated through selling their products, the $25/$100/$500/1k/3.5k products.

Dave & Dave are affiliates like the rest of us with EN. It is a business that is structured in such a way that it is possible for another affiliate of EN to earn more money than the founders of the company themselves.

Dave & Dave each made 2 million last year, the company made 8 million. Vick Strizheus who is creating BIM has made $700,000 in 28 days and 900k up to today…if he continues the way he is, it is a possibility he can earn more than Dave&Dave.

One of the main ways the company itself makes it’s money through the $19.99/month fee for the merchant account you need to setup to get paid. They don’t even make money with the events they hold…The last event in Austin TX(Jan 18th-20th) cost them 500k, and they sold tickets at $117-$170’ish?(the non-discounted price) to 4k people. So the Event just about paid for itself.

The system is blowing up so much due to the fact that most of the profits are going to the affiliates and not the company…They paid out something like 20 million to their affiliates last year.

But ya..I’m in a position where I *HAVE* to make something work money wise, and I have chosen Big Idea Mastermind…I’ll post up how things are progressing on here…

    Hey Cheryl :>

Ya, there are a group of people who have been going around just flagging EN vids for no reason and getting people’s accounts closed down :/

I wanted to do regular video updates of what all is going on but didn’t want to deal with constantly having to re-upload everything. But, I’ll look into Daily Motion πŸ™‚

Ya, Vick is the real deal…I’ve met up with him in Austin TX and again in the BIM Millionaires Retreat in Miami in Feb. BIM is going to be huge and it is CRAZY profitable.. it is going to be released tomorrow and I’m about ready to attack this thing full on!

I wasn’t sure if I should keep updating here, didn’t think people still dropped by here, lol…

I’ll make an update on my blog in a bit on what all is happening on that front :>
