Day 77 – Got A New Outsourcing Resource

July 21st, 2009

hahah!

So 2 days ago I had outsourced 16 hubs to a service called “Human Rewriter” It’s an outsourcing service I saw Jeremey Kelsall and Michelle and Leslie from TNB vouch for…Well, I just got them back and overall I am pretty impressed!  I read through them all and noticed that they all made sense, there were no silly grammatical errors that would show that someone wrote this who has English as a second language.

I got really excited after looking through the first few, thinking that I wouldn’t even have to edit these, that I could post them straight up as hubs, but I eventually found a few that had issues.  About 3-4 of the 16 didn’t use the keyword enough times or at all in the body….Additonally 1 other small thing was I mentioned they should all be over 450 words…the majority were, but there were 2 that were under 400, one at 330 words and one in the high 300’s.  With those I jsut padded on an intro paragraph and a little conclusion and that was that.

On the whole though, this has been the best outsourcing experience I’ve ever had.. I even asked them to throw in some LSI keywords if they could fit it in and they ended up doing it :> …As for the editing for each article, overall it didn’t take long…I’d say less than 30 seconds for each, except for the 3-4 that I needed to fill in the keywords (1-2 min each) and the 2 that I had to add an intro and conclusion sentence (2 min each)..

But again, the thing that stands out most with these people is the English quality… a lot of outsourcing companies say they have native English speakers(GetArticlesDone) but then you realize some of the articles are NOT written by native speakers….In this case there was the odd small spelling mistake, but the grammer for all 16 was on par with a native speaker.

Now BTW, Get Articles Done was still good and I will still use them for UAW submissions… but for content I want on a site, content I want to read well, I’m going to be using Human Rewriter (That’s my link if you want to use it to sign up).

The hardest part when it comes to outsourcing is finding a good person or good group of people to outsource to, and with these guys, who I hope will stick around for a while, I feel I’ve now got that element of confidence.  In fact, I’m now considering going all out with outsourcing after this and just outsourcing ALL my infobarrel backlinks to my hubs to them.  If I make 300 hubs and outsource 150 Infobarrels which are just re-writes of 1/2 my hubs….at $3.70 for the average 450-500 word article, I’m looking at $555.  Quite a lot of money…I really only have Ben’s experience to base this investment on, but I’m willing to try it out.  It will save me literally a week’s worth of work too.

BTW, if you use this, it’s billed by the sentence.  Don’t use semicolons and make sure you extend your really short sentences by turning the periods into comas.  I usually get my 450-500 word articles down to $3.40-$3.80.

As far as what I did today…I wrote up 5 more hubs so I now had 40 hubs I needed to post up(including the 16 I outsourced)…I only got around to posting up 20, so I’ll need to spend 2 hours doing the other 20 to get my total Hub count up to 140.  I’m a bit behind what I expected to have done but I’ll be making up for it with some outsourcing.  I also spent some time looking for new Hub niches and FINALLY found some more..this is what I did:

1.  Go to Google Product Search
2.  Look at the listed items for recent searches
3.  Look for items which probably cost a lot or you think would result in a high CPC
4.  Search for them in the Google Keyword Tool and find out what their CPC is and if they’d make good Hubs
5.  Go back and click “Search Products” to get a new list of products to check through.

I did this and found about 12 potential niches.

BTW, I had this asked via PM, but wanted to answer it here.  If you’re wondering why I’m suddenly switching from Sniper Sites to Adsense Hubs, The reason is, I want to diversify…I want to make my income more stable.  With Clickbank, there are days I can make $0 or only 1 sale, which is not fun.  Although if I look at it on a week by week basis, it seems more stable, I want to get daily income.

I’ve also seen the amazing potential of it from speaking with Ben who’s making somewhere around $80/day after around 2 motnhs I believe and I want to get in on that action..

I’ll probably be doing other stuff as well after all this to diversify even more, like maybe Adsense Snipers(outsourcing with these guys would be great for this) or Amazon Snipers(like what Niche Market Ninja is doing)…

Earnings For Today:

  • $27.12 – Sale for a site in the main sniper niche
  • Hops = 661
  • Adsense = $3.64 (Note, 6 of the 9 previous days I’ve made money off of my Hubs…nothing substantial, I’ve probably made around $13 in total since I put up my first 10 hubs over a month ago, but it’s still too early..need to wait 2 weeks after posting all my latest hubs before I can expect anything..backlinking should help)

Day 76 – Hub Update

July 20th, 2009

Outtakes from Kenny vs Spenny – Kennys hilarious!

Ok, so I didn’t get as much as I’d hoped done today…I ended up finishing writing 15 hubs in a new niche.  I’m still going to have to write 5 more hubs and then upload them all.  I’m also still waiting on getting my 20 outsourced hubs back from yesterday.

I’m thinking if those hubs come back in good quality, what I’m going to do is really go overboard with the outsourcing…If the quality is good, I’ll just outsource 50 rewrites of my hubs and post those up to Infobarrels.  Those 50 Infobarrels will then link back to my 100 hubs.

The amount of money I’m making from Hubpages is still very minimal…I’ve only made about $13 so far, however it’s still way too early for me to be expecting any kind of income, I need to wait at least 2 weeks to start seeing ANY income pour in and I haven’t even backlinked yet…it’s tough because you don’t see the immediate results like you do with Sniper Sites.

Earnings For Today:

  • $53.15 – 1 Site #3 sale = $11.04, 2 main sniper site sales = $16.61, $25.48
  • Adsense = $2.60 (Some Hubpage $$ in there)
  • Hops = 582

Day 75 – I Outsourced The Hubs

July 19th, 2009

Goldar…

So today I went and uploaded the remaining 12 hubs from yesterday to make for a grand total of 100 hubs uploaded….

After I did that, I started doing some keyword research to find new keywords for hubs.  It took a bit of time, but I was able to find enough keywords to use for hubs for both today and tomorrow.

Now when I picked this latest topic to write about I wasn’t too keen on writing about it.  If you don’t have any idea what it is, it takes quite some time to figure out all the lingo and write a meaningful article for it.  I originally had no intention of going into forex, insurance or taxes as even thought they pay highly, I would find it boring to write about…however I decided if that’s where the money is, I should at least give it a shot.

So, I began writing….I ended up writing 4 articles and then realized there was no way I’d be getting 20 of these done in the time I had left, each article required quite a bit of research.  So, I decided that I’d go ahead and OUTSOURCE the articles!  What I used was a service called “Human Rewriter”, it’s gotten some good reviews on the WF and the content is apparently re-written by people from the U.S.

It cost me on average $3.75 per 480 word article….What I did was search on Ezine Articles for my keywords, and usually I’d find a bunch of articles.  I’d then look for those that are at least 450 words…then I’d check to see if they used the keyword in the body, if they did and the article looked good, I’d copy it, maybe add the kw a few more times, then use that to submit to be re-written.

So I did this for 16 articles as I had already written 4 today….The turn around time is 24-36 hours so I’ll let you all know how well this turns out for me.  If it goes well, I can see myself using this in a big way to outsource some of the Hubs…namely the Infobarrels which will serve as backlinks to my Hubs…I can just make them all rewrites of my Hubs.  If I am looking to create 150 Infobarrels to backlink to 300 of my Hubs, it would cost me about $560…and if things turn out as they have for Ben ($10 per 100 infobarrels), I’d be not only saving myself 1 week worth of work, but I’d also be getting $15/day once those Infobarrels mature.

It all sounds good, in theory….I’ll have to wait and see how it all turns out…

Earnings For Today:

  • $62.92 – 1 sniper site sale = $20.03, 1 Sale for Site #3 = $11.04, 1 sale for the main sniper site = $31.85
  • Adsense = $2.87 (some Hubpage income here)
  • 482 hops

Day 74 – 100 Hubs Written Up

July 18th, 2009

This has been a long night…I waited too long to get started on writing my hubs but nevertheless, I got 20 hubs all written….I was just in the process of uploading, I got through about 8 but then Hubpages got all screwy, they’re messing with the website layout or something and now I can’t navigate their site to add the rest of the hubs I wrote.

So I guess I’ll call it a night and get back to uploading the remaining 12 hubs tomorrow when hopefully this will be fixed…But once It is, and I finish uploading this, this will make for 100 total hubs!

It’s a lot of fun seeing the # of hubs go up at such a fast rate, just 2 days ago I was at 60…in another 10 days I SHOULD be at 300!  Probably at that point I’ll start making 150 Infobarrels as backlinks to the existing hubs and see how that works out.

Earnings For Today:

  • $87.46 – 4 sales for the main sniper niche = $16.61, $16.61, $27.12, $27.12
  • Adsense = $5.63 (Some Hubpage income here)
  • Hops = 515

Day 73 – Developing A New System

July 17th, 2009

Fredryk Phox

You know, one of the things I’ve realized which was key to me getting all the work I got done with the Sniper sites was developing a system to follow each day…I would set an expectation for what needed to be done for the day and then I’d have checkpoints throughout the day where I would assess how far along I’ve come to reaching my daily goals.

So for instance, near the end when I was making 2 Sniper Sites a day and 10 hubs, this is the schedule I setup for myself (Note: I work late)

  • Get content for all sniper sites written up in Word format by 9:00pm
  • From 9-12am put up the 2 Sniper sites and promote them (BMD, RSS etc..)
  • From 12am-4 or 5am work on writing up 10 Word docs for hub content  & then spend 1 hour uploading that to Hubpages and interlinking the Hubs

I knew it would take me around 1 hour to write up the content for each Sniper site, so around 6-7pm I realized it was time to get down to business…

Then when I had written the content by 9, I knew it would take me around 1 hour for each site to be created, setup with posts and promoted, so I knew that if it hit 10pm it was time to get down to business once again…

Finally, I knew that it would take me 1 hour to write 4 articles for hubs, and thus 2 1/2 articles to write the hubs and another 1 hour to submit them and interlink them….So again, I knew that by 1 or 1:30am I needed to buckle down.

The main goal for the day, as well as all the little checkpoints helped keep me on track and getting things done…As time went on, I changed those expectations and pushed myself harder to the point I made 3, 4 and then 6 sniper sites in a day..This is how I did it, this plus getting into the zone and once in the zone, writing non-stop and taking advantage of it.

SO…

Now that I’m making hubs full-time, I’ve had to figure out a whole new system to go by..I’m still working on it, but what I do know at this point is that I’m setting the goal of AT LEAST 20 hubs written and uploaded each day.  If I can maintain this, I will have 600 hubs by the end of the month.

Now seeing as how I’m going to be entering so many different niches for the hubs, I’ve needed to come up with a strategy for how I’m going to write for so many different topics.  I realized that if I try to write on multiple topics in the same day, I will not be able to enter the zone as easily because I’ll have my mind on 2 different subjects.

So I realized I’d need to work on only 1 niche each day…and as for how to write for all these niches I know little about, I’m using a tactic I used a long time ago to create my authority sites, the “Swipe File”

Basically, I go into Ezine Articles, and search for “my niche + tips” and get back a ton of Ezine Articles with nicely laid out tips I can grab.  I take them, copy and paste them into a Word file, until I have a massive list of points to draw from.  I also go and pull points from regular websites as well…

Once I’ve go a large enough swipe file with enough different points, I then write my hubs, often times picking 3 or 4 points to talk about per hub article….

Now today, I was writing on a topic that I found a good # of points for and a topic which I just found easy to write for and this is what happened while using the swipe file:

As you can see, from about 11:20-2:34 I was able to get 15 450-500 word hubs completed in Word docs…that’s about 5 hubs an hour.  A big reason for that speed was due to the swipe file…other things that played a role were the fact that I found the niche easy to write for and I got into the zone…

Earnings For Today:

  • $26.18 from Site #1
  • Adsense = $5.86 (Some Hubpage earnings in there)
  • 548 hops

Day 72 – Research For Hubpages

July 16th, 2009

So today aside from putting up the review pages to a few of my sniper sites that have just now become indexed, I spent the day researching various niches and keywords that I could potentially write Hubpages for.  I was told by Ben that a good thing to do is to spread out the Hubpages across many niches, that way you can more readily find which niches are the winners and ones you can focus on…It would definitely suck to make all your sites on 2-3 niches, only to find out they’re all duds..

So far I’ve researched 5 niches for a total of 70 keywords….I’ve also got a few other niches I have yet to dig into and pull keywords out of, I’ll do that tomorrow…Once I feel like I’ve got a nice large list of keywords to work from in various niches, I’m going to begin pumping out the Hubpages en-mass.

One of the things though with this approach is that when spreading out my Hubpages over many niches, it’s going to take me a lot more time and effort to write up the hubs as I have to research that many more niches…In the end though it’s for the better..

Not much else to report…Tomorrow I’ll do a bit more research and begin creating the hubs…

Earnings For Today:

  • $76.18 – 4 sales from main sniper site niche = $16.61, $16.61, $16.32, $26.64 (All of these sales have come from relatively new sniper sites I made on June 30th/July 8th)
  • Adsense = $5.44
  • Hops = 659

Day 71 – Sniper Wrap Up And It's Over 700!

July 15th, 2009

The More You Ignore It, The Cooler You Look.

Well, looks like the hops have finally reached past 700, today I clocked in at 716 hops :>

Other than that, I finished off my last 3 sniper sites and now am finally going to be focusing my energy on building hubs…

I’m going to need to spend a good deal of time tomorrow researching various niches to jump into for the hubs.  I want to start off putting hubs in as many niches as I can so that I find out which are the good niches to focus on early on.

I’m also going to be outsourcing some UAW articles over the next little bit, gotta go figure out how many articles will need to be outsourced and also come up with what keywords they should target before I outsource them.

Once I’ve got a good idea of what niches are going to be profitable, I’ll start writing the hubs..I’m hoping that after all is said and done, I can pull in at least a solid 2k/month from Clickbank and another 3k/month from Adsense via Infobarrel and Hubpages..

After I do my hubpage and Infobarrel spree, I may then consider other ventures, like possibly creating adsense sniper sites or amazon sites geared around product keywords like what the Niche Market Ninja is doing…But first things first…

I still have a few other possible sniper sites I can create in this niche, although I’m going to keep them on the back burner for now, I need a break from the sniper sites…I’ve created 116 Sniper sites thus far…

Earnings For Today:

  • 3 Sniper site sales, $16.61, $16.61 and $27.12(this one is from a site I put up on the 23rd of June)
  • Hops = 716
  • Adsense = $6.49 (Hubpage clicks in here)

Additional Notes For The End Of The Sniper Spree:

Just want to make a note here…George speaks of making somewhere in the range of $200-500 per sniper site, however in my experience after 100 odd sniper sites for keywords with searches per month of 3k-14k EXACT match, this is not the case.  Whenever I make these sniper sites, I expect them to at best generate 1-3 sales/month..Out of all my sniper sites I’ve ever created, this has been the norm, and I have a lot of sites ranking in the top 1-5 positions for page#1.

Additionally, I don’t expect to see all my sites bringing in that, usually it’s only like 1/3 of my total sniper sites that bring in those sales each month.  That’s not to say only 1/3 are profitable, some sites may only make a sale every other month and who knows, perhaps more sites will become profitable as they age and I generate more backlinks…but this has been my experience thus far.

Day 70 – 6 Sniper Sites Done..Crazyness!

July 14th, 2009

Not work safe, but DAMN funny! :D

OK, today I was on a roll and I just kept pumping out Sniper Sites….I really wanted to get these over with so I can start up on the Hubpages, and with that drive, I pumped out 6 full sniper sites today!  On average it took me about 30-45 min to write the content and 45-50 min to put up the site, bookmark/rss submit …I was multi-tasking and clicking like crazy… Sometimes you just get into those zones!  If you have a strong enough motivation, it’s crazy what you accomplish.

Another reason I as able to get all that work done was because a lot of the sites I was working on were very similar and the posts just needed to be rewritten in slightly different wording for each blog.

Now in addition to that, 1 of my sites from yesterday was indexed on page 1 and I posted up the review page for that.

Earnings For Today:

  • $116.05 in CB Sales – 2 sales for the main sniper site niche, 1 of the sales is from a new site I put up on the 8th or 9th ( $27.12, $27.13), 2 Sales for Site #3 = $17.98, $4.10, 2 Sales for Site #2 = $19.68, $20.04 (I’m thinking one of the reasons why Site#2 might be doing better might be because I’ve setup an autoresponder to collect emails on my sniper sites and redirect the users to my main authority site in that niche via the msgs (Site #2) …I’m not 100% certain that this is the case though..
  • Adsense = $7.83
  • Hops = 659 (finally it’s climbing! And you better continue to…or else)

Day 69 – 9 More Snipers To Go

July 13th, 2009

So today my 4 sniper sites from yesterday were all indexed, 3 were on the front page, 1 was on the second page…I went and uploaded the reviews I had written previously for all sites..

After that, I put up another 3 sniper sites for today and did some inventory on how many more sniper sites I have left to create.  Although I can potentially make 18-20 more, I’ve decided that I’m going to only make 9 more sites and call it quits at that point.

I counted up my sites and it looks like when I’m done creating the next 9 sites I’m going to have 96 sniper sites in my main sniper niche and 20 sniper sites in various other niches…that’s a total of 116 sniper sites, crazy!

I’m going to have to do quite a few UAW submissions for all these once I’m done…I’m anxious to see if my hops are going to increase or if my sales are going to increase once I’ve done all my UAW submissions…

I’m going to try and get 4 sniper sites done tomorrow and day after, so that would leave me with Wednesday being the start of me outsourcing UAW and going into Hubpage building full time.

Earnings For Today:

  • No CB sales today
  • 1 Sale from someone on this site :> $26.80
  • Adsense = $3.92 ( a good bit of this from Hubpages, from a hub I put up on the 9th)
  • Hops = 504

Day 68 – 4 Sniper Sites & Unexpected Sales

July 12th, 2009

I spent the day today making up for lost time and pumped out 4 full sniper sites.  I think that now I’m just going to focus on Sniper Sites only so I can get the remaining 12-14 or so Sniper sites done and out of the way….reason being that I really want to focus all my attention on Hub building.

Once all these sniper sites are done, I’m going to do a bunch of outsourcing and get UAW articles written up for them and submit them as they come in…in addition, I’ll be seeing just how many hubs I can get done each day.

Another thing I did today was to make 3 of my authority sites which were previously sending people to Market Health products over to Clickbank products instead.  I just swapped out the affiliate link.  They’re going to be expecting a physical product and instead get an informational product, however I’ve sent over 800 hops to them and only gotten 1 $15 sale, so it will be interesting to see if CB would do a better job with that traffic.

One thing I forgot to mention is that over the last few days I have been bookmarking about 2-4 hubs a day with Bookmarking Demon, I’m going to go through them all bit by bit with the program.

Earnings For Today:

  • $43.73 – 2 sales for the main sniper site, I made a $27.12 sale and 1 sale is for one of my newer sites that I made on the 1st of this month, $16.61..
  • Adsense = $2.38 (some of this was from Hubpages)
  • 498 hops

And aother thing…I just realized that I’ve been making money with Ebay, I just hadn’t checked it!  One thing I did a while back was place an Ebay bar in my sidebar for one of my sniper sites…I didn’t expect much to come of it, but the only reason I did it was because the keyword I chose was one where ppl were looking for a physical product rather than information ex: “plasma tv for sale”…I just found out that on the 4th of July I got a $12.29 sale from it and on the 9th I got a $25.63 sale O_o …interesting…
