Day 87 – Niche Devil

July 31st, 2009

LOL @ 2:50!

Ok, so for the first half of the day I got 20 articles outsourced, but then in the second half of the day, I came across something which I just couldn’t ignore and which is going to be changing my strategy for the next few days…

Vic from Blogger Unleashed has released a program called Niche Devil…it just came out on the 29th and it’s something even Grizzly is mentioning.  What the program does is it allows you to setup a new website in under a minute (36 seconds in the demo video) which will pre-load it with Ebay/Amazon or Chitika…it will also take an article you provide (700-1000 words) and pull sections out from it, and spin it, inserting your main kw in it to create unique content.

This is similar to BANS was, except this leaves no footprint.

The idea here is to setup A TON of these sites as .infos(Vic suggests infos) and get them indexed and earning money…seeing as how easy they are to setup, it can be very easy to get up 100+ of these sites.

Here’s the link to the site if you want to check it out: Niche Devil (Vic is selling this for the next 14 days only)

Now I’ve already picked this up and started to work on this…I’m going to pump out 100 of these sites relatively quickly and see what happens.  I’ve alerady done some keyword research and found a little over 50 keywords to use, I’m going to register these as $1 .info’s and set them up with Ebay/Amazon and see what happens.  If this works out, I’ll be splitting my time between this and Hubpages.

Here’s my plan of action, you might want to follow this if you’re having a go yourself:

1.  Use Google Product Search to find possible product niches that I can earn comissions off of on Ebay.

2.  After repeatedly hitting “search”, once I’ve found a keyword that looks like it will bring in some good commissions, I’ll do a search for it in the Google KW Research Tool.

3.  I’ll check that the CPC is decent(preferably $1+, optimally $3+, but at times I’ll go with $0.60+) and look for keywords with 1k+ exact searches.

4.  With these keywords, I’ll search for them in quotes and preferably find keywords with under 30k competition and a front page that has a few PR N/A’s, 0’s, 1’s or 2’s.(I’ve found some keywords with as much as 18k, 33k and even 49k exact searches/month that I can potentially rank for)

5.  Make a list of 50-100 keywords then begin creating the sites.

For site creation you just need to upload some files via ftp, then access the setup.php file, giving it your main kw and 10 subkeywords…Once you’ve done that and create it, you then only need to ping it and submit it to BMD and you’re done O_O.

This looks like an easy way to earn some cash and and diversify my portfolio…so for the next few days, I’m going to be focusing mainly on this… we’ll see what happens…

Earnings For Today:

  • 2 Sales from sniper sites = $54.24
  • 221 hops (new analytics) 443 (old analytics)
  • Adsense = $4.96 (some hub income there)

Tomorrow I’ll be posting up some detailed totals for the month, including how much I’ve earned from Hubpages/Infobarrel..

Day 86 – Found A More Efficient Way Of Doing Things

July 30th, 2009

Ya, that’s really his voice, he’s good…

IM has really opened up ever since I started getting more into outsourcing.  I used to seriously believe in doing everything on my own, and while you CAN make it doing all the work on your own, it’s going to take WAY longer….I do think it’s important you do a lot of the leg work on your own initially, however once you get your system down and you become confident in your ability to generate income online, the natural progression is to start moving towards outsourcing…A good time I feel to start into this seriously is once you’ve hit around $500/month.

In the last few days using Human Rewriter, I’ve found my IM life to be a LOT easier…I’m confident that the money I’m putting forth is going to be fruitful and the amount of work I’m able to get done each day has gone up quite a bit.

In fact I’ve just found a way to get even more work outsourced quicker, here’s my new system:

Once I have my keywords chosen, I’m going to search Ezine Articles for an article to be re-written.  I’ll pick one that is 450 words or more, make sure the main kw is in there at least once every 100 words, I’ll edit the article down so that it does not have TOO many sentences and is at a reasonable price ($3.30 for 450 words), then I’ll request to have every 2nd article I submit to be re-written TWICE.

By doing this I get 2 birds with 1 stone..Say I outsource 20 articles…out of that, I will have an additional 10 re-writes…I will then use those 10 re-writes to submit to Infobarrels to backlink the 20 outsourced Hubs.

So now with this increase in productivity, my new plan is on the days I’m focused on outsourcing, to outsource 60 articles in 2 niches (20 hubs/10 infobarrel backlinks + 20 hubs/10 infobarrel backlinks in another niche)….That’s what I’m aiming for..worst case, I should be able to get at least 45-50 done.  Then on the days I’m posting stuff up I’ll aim for 30-40 being posted up each day.

Now that I’ve got 160 Hubs up and 80 Infobarrels to back them all up, I’ve noticed an increase in my income…The clicks though still aren’t worth very much, but perhaps they will go up in price in time as my properties begin bringing in more consistent traffic.

As far as what I got done today, I put up 10 more Infobarrels(80 total) and outsourced 10 articles in a new niche…Looking to pick things up with the outsourcing starting tomorrow.

Earnings for Today:

Clickbank has totally changed their reporting and one thing I’ve noticed is that the reported hops have gone WAY down…my hops to date with the old reporting was at around 15k, with the new reporting it’s only at 8k…VERY strange.  I don’t know if it’s a bug or if this is just more accurate or what.

  • 1 Sale for Site#2 = $20.04
  • # of Hops in new analytics = 210, old analytics = 523 O_o
  • Adsense = $6.79 (bit of hubpage + infobarrel income in there)

Day 85 – Woke Up To $128 In CB :>

July 29th, 2009

Doogie Howser M.D.

Every day as soon as I wake up I go over to the computer to check how much money I made while I was asleep….Usually it is either 1 sale or still at 0 sales for the day…rarely will it be at 2 sales.

Today when I checked though Iwas surprised to find I had $128 sitting in my CB account from 5 sales!  Then…about an hour later I got another sale bringing it to $148.88!

One of the sales came from a sniper niche that I entered that had not produced any income for me…I had basically written it off, but it finally brought in a sale.  I also got 2 sales from sniper sites I built within this last month.

Now aside from that, today was also a good day for me with Adsense, I brought in $12.34 there… only a small chunk of that was from Hubpages/Infobarrel though.

Today I put up 30 Infobarrels, I’m going to have to put up 10 more to get the total up to 80, which I’ll do tomorrow.  Once that’s done I’ll be at 160 Hubs/80 Infobarrels(all Hubs will be backlinked) and I’ll begin outsourcing Hubs/Infobarrels again.

Earnings For Today:

  • $148.88 in CB Sales, 5 of the 6 sales being from sniper sites
  • 554 hops
  • Adsense = $12.34

Day 84 – Setting Up More Real Estate

July 28th, 2009

Ok, so today I spent the day putting up more backlinks to my hubs via Infobarrels…I was able to get 30 up which leaves me with 40 more Infobarrels left to put up. These 40 are all done at this point, they’ve been outsourced…so they are ready to go.

One thing that kind of annoyed me though when putting these up is they removed a bunch of my links to Hubpages.. They don’t like it when you link to your site at the bottom of the article as you would in Ezines…it seems like they would prefer you work your links into the body instead. So I had to go back and find ways to get my links into the body in the natural flow of the article.

Now I tried for the hell of it a search on one of my keywords where I just put up an Infobarrel and noticed that it was already appearing on page 1 of Google for it’s keyword! I haven’t checked many of them, but hopefully the same will be happening for other Infobarrels and this will be the start of my web properties ranking well enough to generate me some clicks.

Earnings For Today:

  • $27.12- 1 sale from a sniper site
  • Hops = 537
  • Adsense = $3.66

BTW, this month looks like it’s going to be the month of refunds…I can’t believe just how many I’ve had (13) and today I just got 2 more, almost $300 worth 🙁  This is why it’s good to have some Adsense income where you don’t have to worry about refunds stealing away your income.

Day 83 – Hubpage Backlinking

July 27th, 2009

Hahah! This guys great…

So todsy I started backlinking my hubs with Infobarrels…I noticed that once you setup an account with them, your posts are not immediately put’re on a kind of probation, you need to get “pre-approved’.  The way that happens is when one of the following conditions are met:

  1. 10 approved articles with minimal inappropriate content OR 50 approved quality edits.
  2. Have been a member of InfoBarrel for at least 14 days.

So although I put up 10 Infobarrels, they are not yet live.

I interlinked the 10 Infobarrels in the exact same way I have been Interlinking my hubs and I stuck 2 links at the bottom of each article leading to 2 of my hubs.

Aside from this, I also outsourced 10 more articles to be turned into Infobarrels and I posted up 20 Hubs bringing the total to 160 posted hubs / 10 posted Infobarrels(with links to 20 hubs)

I’m going to see if I can get the rest of the Infobarrels up tomorrow.  I have 40 more I can put up at the moment, that will bring the total to 50.  In addition to this, I have 30 more I’m waiting on being written, when that is done, that will bring the total to 80.

I may even consider putting up some quick 250 word Ezine Articles as well…I really want to see these Hubs start making some cash, so I’m going to do whatever it takes to make the hubs I do have profitable!

Earnings For Today:

Today was a good day for affiliate sales, I had 6 sales for a total of $113.20:

  • 3 Sales for Site#3, 1 Sale for Site#1, 1 sale for a sniper site and 1 sale for my main sniper site
  • Hops = 477
  • Adsense = $4.06 (Good chunk from Hubpages)

Day 82 – 20 Articles Outsourced

July 26th, 2009

Tim Burton + Johnny Depp again, looks interesting..

So today I was at another b-day party, this time for my friend’s daughter’s 1 year b-day…When I got back home I was able to get 20 articles outsourced.

Now when I outsource these articles, they take quite a bit of time…What I need to do is adjust the articles a bit as if they have too many periods, they wind up costing way too much…I’ve got to bring each article down to reasonable levels.  At this point I edit down most of my 450-480 word articles to $3.30-3.50.

Then once I’ve done that, I’ve got to fill in the form and submit it…It takes about 10-15min per article…This is assuming I’m rewriting my hubs as Infobarrels…if I’m pulling content for hubs, I’ve got to spend time finding the Ezine Article to use as a base(an article >450 words that’s written well).

Now that my schedule is back open, I’m hoping to get more work done tomorrow.  I have 10 more articles to outsource for Infobarrels then I need to spend a ton of time posting everything up.

I’m also going to have to look into going into new Hub niches, because it seems like I may not have chosen some good ones based on the results I’ve seen thus far(although it may be to early to tell).  I’m going to still backlink all these hubs and see how that works out, but I’m going to be looking for some new niches that will hopefully be more profitable.

Earnings For Today:

  • $53.50 – 1 sale for Site #1 & 1 sale for a sniper site I made 3 weeks ago
  • 526 hops
  • Adsense = $2.88 (small amount from Hubs)

Day 81 – 10 Articles Outsourced

July 25th, 2009

Today I was out for most of the day taking care of some things then went out for my friend’s 30th b-day, got back at like 2am so I didn’t have much time to work on the business…nevertheless, I was able to outsource 10 articles which will become Infobarrels.  I still have to outsource 30 more though, at which point I’ll have all my Infobarrel’s outsourced.

I’ve gotten back the 40 articles I outsourced yesterday, these guys are quick….so I’ve got that to post up to Infobarrel, I also still have 20 Hubs that I had outsourced that I still need to put up.

It will be interesting to see what happens once I have all these Infobarrel backlinks in place…I’m even considering doing additional backlinks with Ezine Articles @ 250 words each…but I’ll see what happens with the Infobarrels first.

Earnings For Today:

  • 1 Sale for a sniper site = $16.61
  • Hops = 499
  • Adsense = $2.06

Day 80 – 40 Articles Outsourced

July 24th, 2009

So today I got back 12 of the articles I had outsourced earlier, which coupled with the 8 I wrote myself gives me 20 new articles to post up as new hubs.  I have yet to post this, but when I do, it will bring my hub count to 160.

I’ve realized that my traffic to my hubs is pretty low and I’m not really earning anything substantial from my hubs…To speed things along a bit, I’ve decided to start backlinking to my hubs at this point, waiting around for my hubs to age was just too tedious!

So, I went ahead and outsourced 40 of my already existing articles used for hubs to be rewritten so that I may post them up on Infobarrel.  Each Infobarrel will then serve as a backlink to 2 hubs, so that will be 80 backlinks total.

Tomorrow I’ll outsource another 40 articles to serve as backlinks and see if I can start posting them up.  It’s crazy how fast things are coming along now…makes it more fun!

Earnings For Today:

  • $62.45 – 1 Sale from a sniper site that is 8 days old = $25.48, a sale for $16.61 for another sniper and the first sale for a sniper site which is 3 months old O_o = $20.36
  • 571 hops
  • Adsense = $2.49 (Little bit of Hubpage income there)

Day 79 – This Could Be Big…

July 23rd, 2009

OK…I’ve gone and done something which feels like a VERY,VERY big step..

It feels like I’ve stepped into a new level of game by having done this…but now that I’ve done it, I’m starting to see how much better and faster things are going to be progressing from here on out…

I’ve decided that from now on, I am NOT going to write ANY articles.  That’s right…no more writing for me, I am now going to be outsourcing EVERYTHING.

I’ve gone ahead and put down 1k for outsourcing to Human Rewriter…it’s a big step and I’m pretty much doing it on faith at the moment, to be honest, as all I have to go on is having seen Ben’s success with this method.

Now it wasn’t easy to put this money down, but once I did and started seeing how quickly and easily I was getting work done, I started realizing that if this thing works out, this could very well lead to me getting a  full time income a lot quicker than I had previously thought!

Now with the average Hubpage being around 450-500 words, I’m finding that this translates to a cost of around $3.75 per outsourced article for the Hubs.  Considering you get a 20% bonus when you invest 1k, that’s 1,200 points which will likely yield me 320 Hubs/Infobarrels.

Now part of the reason I’ve been able to put down so much is because I’m making 2k/month…essentially my business is funding itself here…I can tell you that once your business’ income hits around $500/month though, you will reach the point where you start considering outsourcing seriously and becoming more comfortable with spending large amounts on it.

This is something I’ve worked my way into..not too long ago if you look at my archives, you’ll see I was quite reluctant to do ANY outsourcing whatsoever!

Now the reason I went with Human Rewriter is because I’ve been impressed with their level of writing…there have been times where the articles I got back were written BETTER than the source article.  Also, they don’t just rewrite sentence by sentence, they also change the structure while still maintaining the ideas that are trying to be conveyed.  This is why I think their work turns out so well..

Also, I don’t know if you’re put on a priority queue if you invest a lot, but my wait time has been reduced to 1-8 hours from 24-36…In fact, today I submitted 12 articles to be outsourced and I ended up getting 4 of them back before I was done submitting the lot!

One of the most important things I feel when outsourcing for Web 2.0 properties like Hubs is that you outsource to a place which is going to product decently written articles…You don’t want the grammatically incorrect drivel that sometimes gets passed through at Ezine Articles…You need these Web 2.0 properties to stand the test of time, if I hadn’t found a company that pops out well written articles  all the time like these guys, I would not have felt comfortable enough to outsource like this and take my game to a new level…

Now as for what I did today, as I mentioned earlier, I submitted 12 articles to be outsourced…I wasn’t able to do more work than that as I had some other things I needed to take care of, I’ve got 2 birthdays I’m going to be going to tomorrow and day after.

So now I’m going to be spending a lot more of my time just doing keyword research and looking for good keywords to turn into hubs….if all goes well, I’ll probably put down more money to continue the outsourcing.

The way I look at it is, if I spend 2k to outsource a mix of 640 hubs/infobarrels, lets say 210 Infobarrels and 430 Hubs , if this ends up yielding me a $100/day revenue stream, would it not be worth the 2k invested?

Of course it would!

The only thing is, most people don’t reach this level due to one or several of the following reasons:

#1. FEAR – This includes being afraid to invest time in your business and not get any return out of it (note, it’s all part of the process and necessary, you will eventually see returns) , Being afraid of outsourcing, being afraid of building a website, being afraid of building more than X number of websites, being afraid of putting up Web 2.0 properties because they might get shut down, being afraid of doing Adsense because you might get banned and lose all your money, being afraid of building sniper sites because they might not last in the SERPS, being afraid of writing X number of articles and not seeing any money come of it…etc, etc…

This all needs to STOP.  Stop fearing, it is crippling and halts ALL progress..If you want to make it in this business, you NEED to conquer this, no exceptions.

#2. Not putting forth the required work effort (and it is WAYY more than you think…you need to put forth concentrated effort on a DAILY won’t get anywhere until you realize that it must be DAY BY DAY, absolutely NO skipping days…that breaks momentum.)

#3. Not thinking BIG enough!  You need to put out tons and TONS of content out on the web if you want to see profits…You can’t just sit on your 3, 10 or 15 sites, you need to start thinking bigger…either turn those into massive authority sites, start pumping out articles like mad promoting them, or start pumping out tons more of those same type of websites, HUNDREDS of them…whatever model you prescribe to, you need to be looking at taking it to the extreme, that’s the one constant with everyone who’s made a full time income online.

That’s it…seriously!  It all comes down to that so keep these 3 points in mind.

Earnings For Today:

  • $63.77 – 2 sales for sniper sites, 1 sale for site #2
  • Hops = 515
  • Adsense = $2.07

Day 78 – Research Time

July 22nd, 2009

For Sega Genesis…lol

Well, I’m finding that research time is really eating into my productivity, because I’m not sticking to 1 niche and switching to new niches every day, there are learning curves I have to deal with.  Some of the highest paying CPC keywords have high learning curves for the subject material and as such it’s taking me a bit more time to write for them.

In addition to this fact, I’m also finding that even though you may have a high CPC niche, finding 10-20 keywords in that niche you can target and rank well for is a whole other story.  That’s the other thing which is taking up a lot of time as well.

So while I can pump out 20 hubs a day, it would seem this is only possible if I have already got my research for my niche out and also all the keywords laid out for me.  If I don’t have this, it’s a bit tougher.

So the only way to get around this I’m seeing is to do even more outsourcing, IE: outsource not just the Infobarrels as backlinks, but also outsource some hubs as well.  I think I’m going to be doing this….It’s going to get expensive though, even though the services I’m using are relatively cheap at $3.75 an article…20 of those is going to be $75/day.  Well, I’ll see how things go…but one things for sure, I’m going to be spending a lot more time researching…researching both potential keywords as well as researching the niche itself.

As for what I did today, I got my last 20 hubs posted up, so now I have 140 total up… I also spent the day researching keywords…I found about 30 and narrowed it down to 20…I then started researching the niche and began writing.  I got 8 articles done so far..

Earnings For Today:

  • $97.12, 2 sales for my main sniper site, 1 for site #3 and 1 for another one of my sniper sites
  • 629 hops
  • Adsense = $6.52 (Small amount from Hubpages)
